Do more people like Getou or Kenjaku?

I’ve been wondering whether some people are still confused about this, or maybe just don’t consciously separate the two. I don’t doubt that Getou is a fan favorite, but for a long time, anime-only viewers saw Kenjaku as Getou. It wasn’t really clear who was who for many people until Jujutsu Kaisen 0 came out and season 2 aired.

I’m not questioning the number of favorites since that would go against the forum rules. My theory is that if you look at the main page, whether on the app or desktop, Getou is one of the top 10 characters. At the time he was added to the character list, he was only known as Getou, and that’s likely when people started adding him as a favorite.

Now that there’s a separate character entry for Kenjaku, has anyone considered whether they actually like Getou from the past, or the version with the stitches on his forehead?

I like oh geto more mostly because we saw a lot of his character in the hidden inventory arc and the jjk0 movie

Geto and it’s not even remotely close, honestly as a villain in general I found him far more interesting then Kenjaku especially with his dynamic with Satoru

I think people go 👨‍🦯 when it comes to these two. Many still don't comprehend that Geto was only alive in prequels and people who liked Geto from season 1 just liked Kenjaku with Geto visuals.

A big reason I made a MAL account is because I just like looking at data, so now I’m also really curious about how the Kenjaku reveal affected this. Unfortunately, we may never know the exact numbers, but as a general I think more people like Getou. Hidden Inventory did a lot for his character, and when I see JJK posts on social media they seem to favor Getou if they even acknowledge Kenjaku at all.

That said those are all algorithm based and I am a known Getou simp, so there could be some confirmation bias happening there lol

People like Geto more for sure. But Kenjaku is a cunning villain but not that likeable though. I wonder if MAL have a separate entry for him.

I think people only like Kenjaku BECAUSE he's in Geto's body. Geto is definitely a way better character imo.

Geto no diff. Kenjaku does take Geto's body to the next lvl+the mommyjaku jokes help with the memes but 90% of his appeal is simply Geto's looks. Geto was also a funny character in his own right(racism/monkey jokes).

I don't think that many people really like Kenjaku. Even among the main antagonists in the series he si severly overlooked, he is quite disappointing by the end of the series and often considered the most boring. Geto at least got a whole arc focused around him and Gojo. Just having Geto's body is a plus that isn't really Kenjaku's achievement as a character.

Before Watching JJK 0 For Everyone Geto & Kenjaku are the Same Person Considering Him as A Geto Suguru. for Me I Like Geto More Than Kenjaku because Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc Made JJK one of my favourite Shounens. i enjoyed Geto in a Positive Role with Gojo & also Enjoyed Him as A Villain in Movie. the writting of His Script & Act are So Good. He wanted to Create a World where Curse will Never Born so He decided to Eliminate All Non-Sorcerer. because He didn't wanted to Lose His Friends. his Thought were right but Procedure isn't.

I Even Voted "Geto" in Best Support Character in Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024. but He Losed aganist His Friend. One & Only thing Which Makes him Interesting me is That He was one of the Special Grade Sorcerers, he was The Friend of Gojo & his Decision why He becomes Villain.

but After Realising That Kenjaku is Controlling The Body geto he is Only Cursed Spirit for me who only Wanted Destruction so. obviously Geto will Win Aganist Kenjaku.

I prefer Kenjaku, Getou was a mid guy then became a racist scum villain. Kenjaku is also a bad guy, but he's a mastermind (quite literally). Sukuna is the powerful one, but the whole anime happens because Kenjaku planned it, and Toji and Sukuna helped.
