| He finally got news about his dad but it was too late. So close too and damn that was his father back in that race. Wasn't expecting something like this, that's a first for the franchise unless I'm forgetting something but still that was emotional. |

| just kill me. that was such an anticlimatic ending to dad search, and the magical "dad helps kanata in the race from the afterlife" was so out of place in the showand so was that guy wanting to fuck the girl. also that "gunma pride" scene was such a bad way to do the same "this is boring" while driving like a mad man from initial d. it had none of the same aspects as takumi's (or his dad's) scene which made it great in initial d. |

| This episode was more sombre than I thought it would be. It's a shame that Kanata didn't meet up with his dad in time before he passed away from advanced cancer, although it was nice that his younger sister, Kaede, went out of her way to tell both Kanata and Ren about it. Thanks to their chat, the episode's title makes full sense now. The time was when Kanata's dad passed away while Kanata was in the middle of the 3rd race and holding back due to his injured left hand, but it did explain the divine intervention that numbed his pain so that he could use 2nd gear again and began his excellent comeback. At least he can now be at peace and I'm sure Ren will do her best to help him move on and enjoy himself once again. Also, I do find it amusing that Beckenbauer was upset that he didn't win the race the way he wanted to. He had to earn his victory this time and he seems to dislike the idea of enjoying the race that way. Hopefully this is the beginning of him shedding of that stuck-up personality and start enjoying these races like all of the other competitors, who knows. |

| It was already too late when Kanata got to know about his father through his aunt 💔 But it's good to know that his decision to come to Japan was not in vain. His dad got to see his son through the MFG race and also he guided him in the third race when it seemed like all hope was lost for Kanata. Kanata also has Ren and the Saionji family by his side. So now Ryosuke and also Keisuke become uncles for Kanata. We have got one big racing family now. Kouki is always thinking about doing something naughty with Sana lol I hope he doesn't breakup with her after she ages. |
| This episode was really an emotional episode for me for a lot of reasons, from initial D to MF ghost the author never failed in making such emotional moments. Also it was quite emotional hearing about Kanata's dad. Also if yall remember that scene where Ryousuke was gonna operate on a patient in emergency, it was Ken Katagiri, and it also looks like the Takahashi's, Katagiri's and Saionji's are connected in some way. Also hearing Ryousuke getting married was good to hear and the way the Keisuke mentioned some other character already married it was probably Takumi lol also Ren was good here compared to Mogi. This ep was really good, and looks like a new character is on their way which I know since I'm spoiled but I won't tell. |
| they tried really hard to get a tear, but the way they did it was rushed, clumsy and boring. the rest of the episode was perverts x nostalgia. The previous between races episodes were much better. |

| i took it for granted whenever i go damn these races are long ,now i'm just wishing for any moment to go back to racing dear god everything else in this show is pure ass when it isn't racing his dad dead but gave him a magical push as a send off anyway oh shit new upgrades and cars lets fucking go! |
