Favourite universe?
| What's your favourite TMNT universe? The 1987 series is one of my favourites but it's just for nostalgia factor, it was episodi and quite crappy. The 1st movie was pretty good, 2nd movie was ok though a bit silly, 3rd movie... didn't watch the 2007 one. The 2003 series are pretty good until the end of the 3rd season, Fast Forward was terrible and I didn't even watch Back to the Sewers. I've only read the 1st volume of the Mirage Comics but I liked it, gritty. Never read Archie or Image. As for Next Mtuation, it was horrendous. Venus de Milo ugh The funny thing is that the TMNT games based of the 1987 series were better than the ones based of the 2003 one. BattleNexus was a crappy game and Mutant Melee looked mediocre as well. |

| Definetly the old school TMNT is what it's all about for me. I loved that series so much as a kid, that even now I still collect the volumes on DVD. I guess the Live Action movies would be second. | I'd second that. I grew up with the 1987 cartoon show. Though I probably equally love the first 2 live action movies as well. The 2007 movie actually wasn't bad either. I never really read the comics so I didn't get a taste of the dark side of TMNT and I don't like the new design of the cartoons so I won't watch it. The next mutation was crap. I tried but I couldn't tolerate it. |

| I don't know if it is my favorite universe, but I read the Archie comics a lot as a kid (for the Mirage comics I only read "City at War"). I still have all the Archie issues plus the Mutanimals stuff and I was really disappointed when it stopped coming out. I remember that this storyline was advertised: (that is "Future" Donatello being held by Shredder) But never came out, and I wondered for years what it was about haha. There was some news about it awhile ago saying it was finally going to come out, but I haven't heard any new information about it. Maybe someone here knows though. |
