| Maybe you can use my vectors for some cards. They are all in PNG format, so you can just paste the character anywhere, they have no background arround. Though be ready for heavy resolutions, the ones with Astraea are like 4000 pixels. http://picasaweb.google.com/akiranyo/PNGVectors# |

| I made them all myself. I vectored (traced) them from various scans, images, even screenshots. On the start I just improved like quality and the resolution, also removing if it was texted. But lately (with growing PS skills) I started to use gradients, light effects, even basic painting on them. When parts missed, I drawed them simply in. Good artists are able to recreate even 25% of the character missing, or make 3000 pixels high images from lowres xvid screenshots. If you want also do, be ready, just a basic vector takes like 4-5 hours to complete for a single character. A advanced character can take up to 20 hours. With group vector it can extend to 35-40 hours. My personal best vector taked 31 hours to complete. Except time, also need skills. The art of anime improves every year. Now you need much more skill to trace a scan, due the more complicated art. If you do a new one with basic skill, the result will be too much simplified, and is against the non-written rule that the result should be superior to the base in every term. |
