I'm not okay with Narancia's death at all. I hope Giorno wrecks Diavolo/King Crimson.

They didn't have enough time to give their friend a proper burial because of the urgent need to get the Requiem Arrow but Giorno wrapping him in vines and flowers before promising to come back for him was a really tearjerking moment. Rest in peace, Narancia.

Doppio dying words were one of melancholic loyalty. It was pretty sad to see him go too even if he was one of the bad guys.

The race is on!

Jojo deaths have always been cool. The ruthless and quick fall of Will Zeppeli, the killing of the main character Jonathan! They have been a staple ever since Phantom Blood. But yet again, Vento Aureo proves that it is on a different level. Not necessarily a better level, but a different level! And one which is incredibly strong.

During Abbacchio's death, I wrote about how the deaths in part five feel as brutal as mob hits. Killing Polpo, Melone, Abbacchio, or Narancia outside of combat, assassination style. It is quick and before we can even swallow what has happened, we feast our eyes on a murder or a body. And for such cold reasoning with the main cast, not for a personal vendetta, but simply because their stands are too effective to keep around that they get snuffed out. This helps create a strong identity for Vento Aureo, one which is distinctly different from the heroic deaths of Phantom Blood or Battle Tendency, and the death of brothers in arms while fighting for one another we see in Stardust Crusaders.

Narancia was probably the character which I would be most affected by dying. His heart of compassion for Trish both encapsulated his pain of abandonment, and his care for his friends and those who have suffered his fate. It was the perfect way to make me feel like Narancia was a human being rather than a cool player in this bloody gang war. Yet despite me having the most emotional resonance with him, even getting tissues ready, it was so fast that like Abbacchio, I had to swallow the sorrow of this kid's early death and move on.

We even got a chance to feel bad for Doppio. Further, Polnareff speculated on the reason a second personality would form, something of a strong shock in his childhood. Continuing to make Diavolo forever interesting yet forever mysterious.
