| I had thought that just maybe the fact that an entire chapter was named after Mayaya that she would be explored as more than a 1D trope and a gag. I'm so impressed. After seeing characters like her in other series purely as gags, as girls who don't realize they're conventionally ugly and brazenly chase men, this was nice. I had been wondering if Tatsuhiko would respect all women regardless of shape or looks like Sanji from One Piece. And although he was conflicted between the responsibility he holds so highly paired with Mako's orders, and the disgust and anger of having such a self centered unaware person embarrass him and poke fun at him, eventually his kindness saw through all of that and saw her as a person. <3 She's just trying to have fun, maybe be seen as a woman any way she could, while finding a job and she knows how people look at her. Seeing how hard she tries and how sad she is was enough to make Tatsuhiko choose to fight for her, regardless of if she's unattractive or not. That was so sweet. He's changed from seeing this as a necessary job to wanting to help her get a job and possibly be happy again!!! WOOO. My baby Tatsuhiko. I laughed so hard at him rushing to pretend he was asleep and then being disgusted by the masturbation noises. It was also amusing to see everyone mad at Tatsuhiko for bringing her to their places, as if he's looking down on these Tsuchiura folk! Although knowing now that she chooses to act oblivious while realizing why she was rejected is quite sad. I'm rooting for you Mayaya. I wonder if Tatsuhiko will get her a makeover.. |
