A new mountain to visit and i really liked all those animal statues.
The ones on the cable car where great.

Also they way the girls had their picture taken was funny, i also think we will see more of the girls who took the picture.

Yeah, interesting that basically the same story exists in such different cultures.

Hmm thats some impressive decorations for the cable cars. The tale that was recounted though sure was amusing as was the poses the girls took when with the statues. The Nadeshiko version of the classic hare and tortoise story though sure is the best one though.

Watching this makes me miss exploring Japan so much. Can't wait to be back for my PhD later this year. Just chilling at the top of that hill and looking over the town/mountain would be amazing. The air's just so fresh and clean. Sad that it's only at a 7.14 on MAL! 7 eps to go and 9 stamps needed

In the original story there was no turtle, Nadeshiko and her friends confused different stories.
For that reason, the other two girls looked at them strangely and posed that way for the picture they took.

I'm very used to the original tale of the Tortoise against the Hare, but for Japan, the Raccoon takes the place over the Tortoise, so hearing Nadeshiko and the others telling the story with the three animals together did get everyone else's attention in that cable car. =)

It was nice that the two girls from the cable car kindly agreed to take a picture of Nadeshiko, Aoi and Chiaki by the animal props, minus the tortoise, so those girls imitated one themselves later on. That was cute! X3

B-B-But... But...

What about the story of the tortoise and the cheerleader?! Surely everyone had heard that story!
"You talk too much. Think too much."
"I don't care how justified you think your reasons are. I won't tolerate liars or thieves."
"If you're not going to be nice to me, don't expect me to be nice to you."
"I'm a soldier, not a superhero. Don't ever think of me as one."
"The world doesn't revolve around you. Get that through your thick skull."
"People who live by their emotions go nowhere in their lives. They only find misery.
"If you don't like the way your life is than do something about it instead of sitting there feeling sorry for yourself."
"You want something go get it. Period."

This episode was especially adorable, I loved the story the girls told and since each one represented one of the animals, Nadeshiko as the turtle was too sweet.

The next stamp is on the Kachikachi mountain, I laughed a lot when I noticed that the other people in the funicular listened to the story the girls were telling.

Again this short anime surprised me with the natural beauty of Japan.

The Nadeshiko, Chiaki and Aoi with their poses for the photo are too funny, even the girls who helped them to take the photos did not endure the laughter.

In this episode I must emphasize that I loved the outfit that Nadeshiko, Aoi and Chiaki wore, they looked so cute.

I look forward to another beautiful and interesting place the girls will visit in the next episode.

Uhm... not sure if the story actually exists or Nadeshiko and co. just mixed different tales.

Anyways, it was still another lovely episode. Nadeshiko's tortoise version was pure cuteness.

It's a mix of two different tales. The one of the hare and the tortoise we all know in the west and a much more grim story about an evil tanuki and a rabbit. Just search for the tale of Kachi-kachi Yama

Oh, I see. I already read the tale and it was... indeed kinda grim. I see the picture Nadeshiko and co. took with different eyes now.

Thanks for answering.

Didn't know the raccoon was part of the Turtle and the Haze, but the animals representing the three girls were pretty darn adorable.

Those little animal versions of the girls were so cute!

I wonder if that's a real Japanese tale, or if they took inspiration from the French fable.
