| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Maruko got to see Momoe Yamaguchi in concert, and even shook her hand! She'll certainly remember that for the rest of her life. Between 1974 until her early retirement in 1980, she was one of the biggest idols in Japan. She became a housewife, and hasn't been seen in public in 40 years. Her music is pretty good, but personally, when it comes to idols of the 1970s, I prefer Pink Lady and Hiromi Iwasaki. Maruko's parents aren't too happy that she gave that can of crab meat to Momoe-chan, and once they find out they she gave her the mayo and the can opener too, Maruko will be in deeper trouble, lol. |
