The conversation between Seto, Ishizu, and Mokuba was much needed.

Seto is in complete denial about his mental health and how he is connected to the Pharaoh on the ancient slab. Even after the vision he had alongside Yami Yugi during their duel, he doesn’t want to admit that he is the Priest from the past.

When Mokuba cries out how he really felt for his brother, Seto even questioned himself if he is able to let go of his hatred for everything that lead up to Battle City. Even though we’ve seen Seto grow as a character since he came out of the coma, there are still insecurities he is “attempting” to get past. So the best thing he could’ve done was question his morality, instead of believing his behavior is normal. Even when Seto acknowledged that he is not a murderer, it shows how far he’s come since Death-T.

What I also liked in this chapter was Seto comparing himself to Ishizu. Ishizu will do anything to save her brother from evil, and is willing to commit suicide going down with Alcatraz if Malik loses the duel with Yami Yugi. This parallels when Seto also attempted suicide when he realized he may not be able to save Mokuba from Pegasus.

Mokuba being honest about his feelings could help Seto surpass the hatred and more forward with his life, and also accept Yugi completely.
