if she had said to me the same thing she said to Denji, which is "Useless dogs are put to sleep" I would have told her to fuck off. Makima is totally emotionless and super creepy. I would never want to work for someone like that.

I agree. &, I think the anime is doing a really good job of creating Makima close to how I read her in the manga: classy, elegant, the picture of femininity, confident, beautiful, sexy & charming, along with all the power to manipulate, control & destroy anyone. She’s quite a woman. I also want to say I loved the last episode, especially due to her. The epic scene with the convicts being brought to the temple, & the gunmen being blown to bits, as Makima calmly & expertly works her charm & magic, is shocking, yet transfixing. &, then, the scene at the end where Kobeni is driven to the brink of despair, & pushed to go 100%, by Arai sacrificing his own life to save hers, was one of my favorite in any anime.

No. I'd rather work a normal job with better benefits.

Working for Makima is basically being her errand bitch boy/dog. You will have to follow her orders. Being obedient to her is the lifestyle. Basically doing most of the grunt work for her. She will have you do some bullshit mission that risk your life. It's absolutely not worth it.
You have to be either crazy or gullible to work for her. She will use you for her selfish gains.

She's a terrible boss to work for.

Didn't read the manga, but I can agree with everything you said about Makima. You mentioned her manipulating skills, and you didn't characterize that as something bad, like the majority of people here did (I liked that).

If women see an opportunity to manipulate a man to gain something, she'll do it. That is in their nature.

The only thing that is breaking my Makima fantasy is her outfit. I love that white shirt but what's with the pants? Hope one time she'll wear a miniskirt and high heels. 🥰

Well you could still become a devil hunter and not work under Makima. But also, just because you're working under her doesn't mean you'd likely interact with her much. Denji is a special case in that she has some sort of plan in which he is useful (as to what it is, you'll have to wait and see), but its no secret that the majority of the other regular members hardly interact with her unless its receiving orders from her.
