| THAT WAS KINO!!! DEAR GOD THE ART IN THIS CHAPTER WAS NOT ONLY BRUTAL BUT JUST SO INSANELY WELL DETAILED AND IMPLEMENTED IN THE STORY!! Whether that's exaggerating the feeling from within Haitani's opponent with his eye's being gouged out by himself, to TAKAMI SCORING THAT GOAL AND NERIMA ENVISIONING HAITANI AS some sort of goblin, it was awesome you should've been there... |
| Feels like the author could have succeeded with something other than a sports series. The art this chapter was amazing but it's not enough to offset the shitty plot and characters. We will see 3 series end over the next 3 issues, and Embers is certainly going to be one of them. ARK-13 said: The next batch is going to have 3 sport series, and I do not expect any of them to be world beaters. Hopefully, one of them can stick because the new EiC is struggling to find a hit series since Ichi. The time is up for the manga too. It's only a matter of time. The sports curse continues in Jump. |

| I was confused as to why this match was already happening but it makes sense now considering this will likely get the axe soon. I liked the art, specifically in this chapter; but the plot just isn't really resonating with me. |
