I get that age of consent for a long time has been 13 and only just increased to 16, but they just cannot let go of the fact that manga has become internationally read and has been almost since the Inception of the internet and it's advancements and hence many people believe the age of consent is ONLY 18+. But since it's quite common for such a relationship like this to bloom, I guess they just don't care and would rather cater to Japanese people, which is fine but many Japanese abhor at the idea of such an age gap romance especially with a fresh highschool girl and an almost 30 year old man... So I still don't get it at all |
