| Looks like this is the episode that Shiki finally exceeds his limits. I mean, it shouldn't be anyone's surprise that he would have to break through to just survive. He's the underdog in this fight. Fitting for a penultimate episode although it wasn't one of those climatic ones imo. This anime still has a lot to prove itself but only one episode left for the 2-cour run. |

| Lol at Shiki grabbing onto one of Mikado's momotaro guns mid-fall (and Mikado getting as annoyed about it as he did) Well that was tragic. Hopefully Mudano shows a bit of leniency to Mikado whatever the aftermath is. |
| That was an intense episode. The fighting we got this episode was what I was expecting to get last episode, so episode 22 really was only a warm-up session for the fight between Shiki and Mikado. However, Shiki had to activate his Kishin mode, in order to protect himself from that bullet (I have to say, Shiki's chest is really deep, like, look at the distance between is thoracic wall and his heart, not only that, this idea that he can just melt bullets made the rest of the fight a bit weird, considering he could just melt all the bullets Mikado threw at him, but for plot reasons, I'm just going to assume that bullet melted because it was inside him, near the heart, where the heat was more intense). Now he can battle Mikado, since he was not even close to defeating him in his normal form. The battle was exciting and well animated. This anime has been surprising me a lot with its fights, and has been my weekly dose of action (doing a much better job than the other "action" anime I'm watching this season). I also enjoyed the more emotional and tense 2nd part, with Shiki going berserk, but still fighting to maintain counsciousness, since he doesn't want to kill Mikado or hurt anyone in that state. I also think they did a good job making Mikado realize Shiki's true nature (and probably realizing that Shiki was indeed telling the truth when he said he wasn't involved in the accidents that happened throughout this 2nd part of the anime), and now being conflicted on what to do, since the only way to stop Shiki is to kill him. For a moment there I really thought Masumi was going to die, but nope, Mudano is there for the rescue, the GOAT. The fact that Mudano was able to deal with this berserk mode alone back in episode 2 just shows how powerful he is. And the episode ends with Mikado shooting that giant blaster against Shiki, hoping it's enough to stop Shiki, but not to kill him. Well, obviously Shiki isn't going to die, unless the anime pretends to go for an anime original ending, but I really liked how this scene was executed, because you can really feel that Mikado is making a really difficult choice for him, and truly hopes Shiki can somehow survive. Honestly, I know this anime has a lot of flaws, but I just enjoy how true to the Shounen genre it is. It certainly follows a lot of tropes of that genre, but they are done right, so I just end up enjoying it! Tougen Anki is for sure that anime for me that I know it has its problems, but I just have a blast watching it! Really excited to watch the next episode and how this arc is ending! Next week is already the final episode of this season! I can't believe we are at that point already! Been watching this anime weekly for almost 6 months now, so I'm going to miss my weekly dose of Tougen Anki honestly :( Also going to miss the amazing opening AMIDAKUJI! By next week's episode title, it seems Shiki and Mikado will both end up fine. Edit: Here's a cool screenshot of Mikado using that powerful blaster  |

This episode was the best one of Tougen anki, those fight scenes on roof, building walls and everything was so good
| @Apratim agreed, best episode, now then that's not a great track record that we got this on ep23... most of the series was so meh sadly, especially the side characters in the gang are pretty awful apart from chainsawman from temu and totally not levi with umbrella |

| Show is ending next week, and our protagonist hasn't mastered his basic abilities or won a single fight without power ups. Imagine Goku barely being able to use his KI but winning all the fights in the original DB by turning suddenly turning Super Saiyan. And I can't overstate how Shiki and Mikado have known each for like two days, and they're trying to convince us this is some deep friendship. I also can't overstate how much I hate this blank eyed always smiling smart as out,and why is he even here? He sucks and has contributed nothing to the story, I was hoping Shiki would actually kill him, but I guess a severed leg is fine. |

| Yodogawa clearly lacks popcorn, Mudano could have taken it. In general, Mikado clearly had a peaceful side job, since he is unaware of why many of his so-called enemies go berserk. |
| Ngl, I know it’s not saying much for this show, but I thought the animation was decent today. Mikado vs Shiki was actually pretty good. That said, it’s been dragged to death at this point. Thank fuck they both realized they’re gay for each other so we should actually get them having a proper conversation next time instead of Mikado just trying to kill Shiki |

| DAMNN. This episode was sex. The animation is awesome. Mikado was crying, that moved me a little. The fight was amazing. |

Cant wait for last episode to end my suffering The start of this series was good, not great because too much clichés everywhere, but this arc is DUMB omagad Worse fights and ennemies I've ever seen ! The only good thing in this whole anime is Mudano the goat Worse anime of last seasons, and its been a while I havent seen one like this |

| @otacu right!? im so annoyed that theyre acting like they know anything about each other. I get that this series wants to speed run things so they can get to the action, but then why include moments like mikado thinking about how kind shiki "has always been"... its so dumb. Its like the author wants to copy series like naruto but doesnt know how too. |

| Masumi absolutely got the point on when Shiki just tries to think the battle in his head, trying to manifest as much guns as Mikado can do, but that's the difference between them both in the first place. And even when Shiki is at its wits end having to force Enki into use, him thinking that he has a leg up against Mikado in terms of firepower, he's still easy to read and predict of his attacks that it doesn't faze the Momotaro at all. And Shiki's Enki transformation being all the Oni power he can muster against Mikado, the former got too cocky to show off his powers and exert it too much to the point that it literally took over his being. At this point, Masumi having to interject and interfere in their fight to stop Shiki still having a part of his consciousness in his Oni self, it's proving a wee bit too difficult for him, until Mudano shows up to hold him further down, for Mikado to finally put a stop to his friend who's gone berserk. Will this be the end of Shiki and Mikado's friendship? We'll see then... |

| Why'd Ichinose go berserk outta nowhere? Usually there's build up to these things. The fight was going on a good pace then boom he's berserking. |
