Saera teams up with Yashiro in a case but this one was shady. It seems this type of show would just naturally adapt some kidnapping element to the story.

Episode had an ominous vibe from the start and didn't take long to get into the fights. At least they found the dog they were looking for. Saera seems like someone hard to get along with but can get the job done.

Great teacher Yashiro vibes lmao. I really love Sara and Yashiro’s chemistry and teamwork in this one. Just waiting on bro to stop being as much of a scumbag lmao. He might complain a lot, but he did help Sara get the shiba back and paid down some of his debts.

The important thing here is now the knights of the round table are making their move, but what’s Ishino’s real goal??

While Yashiro continues to be a proud scumbag it is now Sarah the one asking him for help with retrieving a shiba dog as no one else would take her. This would connect with one of the previous Demon Lords as well as a side story about a missing panda who somehow who a nerfed version of his ability. Nevertheless, this was taken care of and not much to write home about.

The one thing that seemed to matter was Ishino's conversation to one of the representatives of the Knights of the Round Table (or whoever). Those don't sound friendly at all and eventually might come into contact with the rest. We'll see.

Of the three, Saera is perhaps the most interesting, although in the next episode they will finally be working as a group, rather than individually.

Decent episode. I’m glad Jougamine wasn’t really in the episode. That definitely worked in its favor, in my opinion. I’m still waiting to see where this goes.

Interesting to see a different one of the students being featured in each episode (where I expected it to be mostly Jougamine).

King Arthur's daughter and Jougamine have kind of similar vibes in their powers (in that they're both sensing things about people in some way).

Also love the closing credits song!

Well her powers are pretty average, sees the type that are only good in a group with somebody with something more offensive since she is just a normal person in a fight. Killer panda went down way too easy.

It's all fun and games with knife wielding magical girls. Until powerful players show an interest in you. Based on the preview, Yashiro the Reaper is going to supervise a training arc.
And Ishino turns down an offer to take down an enemy?
Honorable mention to Sir Kay for feeling menacing all while being properly polite. Really thought she was going to attack when The Musician rejected the offer.

I'm really enjoying the classic Japanese plotting. Start with the funny and slowly make things darker.

After dropping A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation and Arne no Jikenbo after the first two episodes, and keeping every other series I selected for the season (and poised to likely pick up a few others late into the game), this show is the one I've had the most difficult time deciding about. It seems that there's always at least one series per season like this, where as many episodes as I watch I still have a rough time deciding upon whether or not I want to or it seems worthwhile to continue it, even multiple episodes past the point whereby which I would have long decided already for other series.

With this one, I think that if it were an 11 - 13 episode one cour, I would have well decided already in favor of keeping it by the third or fourth episode or even earlier, but being a two cour one (which I'd normally welcome if it's a series I'm very enthused with), still undecided if this is something I want to watch weekly through June or not (or watch in any other way, whether binging at the end or multiple binges at various interval points). Probably decide by next episode.

It has enough in its premise to be enticing (well, at least to the level of any other seasonal I give a shot and watch any part of) and the urban fantasy, kind of rugged and rundown Tokyo slums of the near future (if I recall it's supposed to be midway through our 21st century) setting is neat, but the way in which it's written otherwise in terms of how everything happens and the character writing and all that makes its construction feel very haphazard and a little overly simple to get invested and be interesting.

Simple isn't necessarily a negative trait, if it's a Slice of Life and some other things, but when it's something attempting to have a more elaborate plot like this, with chemically-enhanced superhumans crime-fighting demon kings under some Knights of the Round Table-styled aristocratic organization and all these shadow factions in some gang war and so on, the way it's presented just feels a bit lazy and dull.

On the other hand, if it doesn't seek to have a fancy intricate plot, or does, but then moves on directly afterward following completing and resolving that to just become a more aimless SoL-style episodic show reliant on caring for the characters who more effort is put into developing over time, then it might become more enjoyable.

Jougamine is also cute. I'd ship her with Yashiro, except that I doubt there'd be any development of note on that front in a show like this.

there's no way that's all of her ability, she's probably just using an application of whatever her ability is coz otherwise she'd just be another support type like Jogamine, 2 support types in a team of 3 is very dumb

You can turn a panda into a monstrosity but at the end of the day it's still just a panda. A good outcome for this excursion, Yashiro even got to pay off his tab XD

And we finished with the last bonding episode. All 3 main girls have their spotlight. We also get a preview of Ishino offered a job seems like something happen in the background. I hope its part of the bigger plotpoint. Time to move the story forward, i hope.
