Yashiro's character is more interesting than it appears on the surface. Given his past and how he became who he is now, there's still room for development.

This was one of the more emotional episodes for him. Saera reflecting on her friendship with Aki is kinda interesting. She never seemed like the type to be friendly with others.

Wait so they’re just now revealing Jogamine was Yashiro’s master?? Seems like that twist should’ve come way earlier and he’d have completely changed his tune with her lol. No wonder she sees him so highly if her dad constantly praised him, but I feel like her dad might not actually be dead and might still be out there somewhere.

Just feels like Yashiro has way too much unresolved trauma and feelings about his master for him to be gone. He showed one face to him and another to Aki, so ofc he’d be a little confused. He actually inherited a lot of his master’s old ways tho, he also doesn’t match his words with his actions as he’s constantly talking about not wanting to be a master to Sara and Aki and he does it anyway.

He’s really lucky that Aki is so obsessed with him tho because he would’ve died in that fight earlier today like dude at the end of the episode had she not shown up to read ol girl’s abilities.

Speaking of which, that was a wild cliffhanger to leave off on. Didn’t expect to see buddy’s throat slashed like that wtf. Can’t wait for next episode, hopefully CR don’t botch the upload this time

When this anime doesn't respect people's live, I feel nothing when someone in this anime died.

Wow, shit. So the crazily on-the-nose foreshadowing in episode 6 that "we can't get through to Ishinhoo" and the episode being named "A Brave Dies" really did mean that it was Ishinhoo 😶🥲🥲🥲

Felt pretty sad and disrespectful to see him deceased like that, and was a very stark shift to the episode. I'd ended up thinking that the "dead Brave" was just going to be Jougamine's father in the end, and the sudden twist with Ishinhoo was really unexpected.

Also couldn't tell if the other friend in the bar who told Yashiro about the death was actually then the one that killed him (well if that's why they were tensely and angrily staring at each other at least).
Also wonder if the bar owner is now holed up somewhere because he feels in danger too.

oh my... this episode was HEAVY! beyond the tense atmosphere during the whole thing, the end was painful :( The sound of rain besides the usual happy ending song finished me.

I'm watching CR on my Xbox, and there aren't any English subtitles available for episode 7. Anyone else having this issue?

@Tuna2natuna There finally up. I had the issue earlier though. Subs for every thing, but English. Good old CR strikes again!

@Yhoto I was afraid from last weeks preview that it was Ishino, and sure enough, it was Ishino. Looks like it was either those two they fought or someone connected to them.

This is getting incredibly impressive first Jogamine was the daughter of his master and it also seems that he has two personalities in addition to that they killed Ishinoo, but the good thing is that they are going to make him
I'm looking forward to the next episode

I'm so annoyed by this. The rest of the episode was great. I've been enjoying the ride so far, but the "foreshadowing" of Ishinoo's death was shit-tier level. I can't even call that foreshadowing, they just almost straight up told us last episode that that's what was happening. I was really hoping they'd throw us for a loop and it would be something unexpected, but the moment Joe showed up in the bar, I knew they actually went through with it.

And for the record, I liked Ishinoo, but I would have had no problem with his death if they didn't practically tell us last week it was happening. It would've made the scene of Joe telling Yashiro and their rage more meaningful to have not given it away like that.

While the episode title was a bit too straightforward, I also liked the contrasting vision of Aki's father: Yashiro's realistic and Aki's much more naive. I don't know why, but I find her less interesting than the other two, Yukine and Saera, and this episode really fleshed her out.

@Kai200X I was seriously thinking like "Who the heck is dying?" because I really wouldn't expect them to kill off Yashiro or his 3 students this early. And Maruta hasn't even been on screen for more than 5 minutes yet. Then it all clicked at the end and I realized how dumb I was.
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

She can read his mind and never realized he didn't get the relationship with her dad? OK. And jeez I thought that dude was going to be a big part of a major plot point given all he was doing the last couple episodes.

Wha??? Didn't expect Ishinoo to die! I wonder if it's because he refused to work for Arthur or something.

It was high time for the series to start getting serious. Not only is Ishino dead already but we got to know why Jogamine has such a fixation on Yashiro despite her dumb appearance. I can feel a bit more empathetic towards him even though he's still a murderer since that's what his master told him.

Also, Sarah is the one more aware of the three.
