end? So she still didn't make up with her mom? Was she back in Japan? Did she get a new heart? I think this ended too quick !

It actually had a complete closure. It's pretty clear that she did have the transplant in the end, both because she outlived her siblings by far, and also because she was the one who got in touch with the MC again (you can see that she sent a letter to him), meaning he has not to wait for her anymore. As to whether she is in America or Japan, it's not stated, but I'm pretty sure it's Japan (another hint to her being cured). A character mentions that she's no longer with her mother; also the MC had left the hospital only a while ago, which means he couldn't have flown to America already; finally, he's the one welcoming her back, with her saying "I'm back". Everything was answered, really; we even know that Kirin's parents got back together.
