| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was a really good episode. Chapman presented an interesting and tragic figure. I wish they could have spent more episodes on him, but what they showed was impressive. He could have really shaped Domon and the other fighters by his lessons and examples. Unfortunately, I don’t think he made the impact on the show as his history would have warranted. I’m impressed that Rain was able to identify the medicine just by tasting it. |
| It's weird, didn't they say Neo Hong Kong was the last winner in some other episode? That was a really good story, but it was foreseeable: Domon wants to fight a new guy, and with the help of some older enemy, they manage to defeat him. In the next episode, this will happen with the guy from China, for sure. And wtf with that woman? She was using dirty methods for his husband to win, and even killed him because of that, without his consent? Did I get it right!? Well, Gundam has a tradition of having annoying female characters, and this is no exception. |
| I’m sure that Chapman knew his wife was doing something, but he let it slide because he needed to fight. I see Chapman similar to Achilles; a man who would easily trade a long life for glory on the battlefield. |
| They did mention the last winner was from Neo Hong Kong! I remember that because Bright Noa is from Hong Kong (half the time). and I thought that was appropriate. Maybe they meant Chapman won quite a lot in the past tournaments or--IDK. It confused me, too. Chapman was a surprisingly good character for this show. Domon could definitely grow as a character after that experience, but I have a feeling this show will stick to being episodic until the inevitable sibling match at the end. |

| This show is like... Domon: Fight me. Opponent based on stereotype of country: Nah man, I got so much other stuff to deal with that-- Domon: FIGHT ME ...And I like it. :U |
