| When she first appeared with those glasses I thought she'd be his mother haha!! His sister and him are very alike, I wonder if their parents are like that as well? :P Can't wait to see his mother (and his father, if possible)! |

I'm gonna guess the mother is like the sister and the father was deemed "unmanly" and basically chased out of the house, to add on to that Kyouya was treated rather harshly for being a male, and so decided to bail ... To be completely honest if the mother is anything like the daughter I wouldn't blame him for bailing, to assume that, in the 21st century where sexes are supposed to be equal, the man should still be chivalrous and yet at the same time accept the woman as the one correct on everything, what she is referring to as a "good man" is a servant... Basically the sister is using sexism to justify sexism... extremely hypocritcal and while irl genders are by no means equal yet (men still have an unfair advantage in certain fields, etc. etc.) in this manga hearing the sister make these assumptions is rather ... annoying. |
