Jesus Christ, that town isn't safe. If it wasn't for Rio, that kidnapper would've taken the girl.

And...Miharu being teased. She's becoming more and more conscious towards Rio. As expected, Rio wants to protect what he treasures in that world. More of his past is shown as well although as expected, it wsn't a pretty sight. Poor kid always taking some form of abuse. This show really gave him a miserable childhood.

Good that the perpetrators are being taken care of and escorted out of Rio's former village, and into Karasuki Kingdom for the next step in their journey. It's still unknown lands in the royal kingdom, so stick together will help each other be accountable.

Even they serve ramen (just under a different name under "Kamutan"), which for Rio, sure beings back some memories. Shin is very protective of his sister Sayo...and it's natural to see the girl (like Sayo) being all that blush with Rio the gentle boy. Some trouble infused in the royal kingdom, and it's best to keep mum about his presence should former enemies recognize him.

The girl that Rio saved, Komomo, her parents knows a thing about Rio, that they served Rio's parents before that's once part of the royal family. And just like what happened last episode, their parents got threatened by mere laws that contradict the mutual laws of agreement. Like parents, like children, and a haste visit to tell the entire family story to the current king and queen.

To think that Rio's childhood is brutally murdered by Lucius (and this is a direct reference to the memories in Episode 1), the entire family was under heavy scrutiny, and the rest is history with recapping the past episodes of Rio's life in the royal academy. Vengeance is revenge best served, but the power difference is too great between Rio and Lucius, and Rio takes it on his own to be trained under Komomo's dad Gouki.

Even the Spirit Arts magic is comparable to...I shall not say it, but the influence is heavy. Only looking forward to see what Rio will do.

As if it wasn't enough with the girls and his power, now he's royalty. I want to see the face of the guys who went with him in school 😂

Uff, the day Rio kills that Lucius , I will be relieved 0.0
What, what are you going to teach Rio, this guy is broken heheh

Well, a little bit of his past and a little bit of Rio showing off, nothing we haven't seen. But now there's a clear goal, revenge c:

They arrived at Karasuki Kingdom where they'll put them in jail. After that, it was time for some Kamutan (ramen). Of course, the influence of the modern world is just everywhere now. Mainly because of the two other girls that were isekai'd.

Rio's in the city with Sayo and seems like she's falling for him even harder after that present. Trouble breaks out in the city. The girl he saved, Komono, is actually related to Rio.

The letter from the grandma was actually meant to announce that Rio is related to the Karasuki family. His mother, was a former royal. After a meeting with the King and Queen. Rio finally knows everything about his parents. It sure felt like a fucking interview LOL.

And we finally know what happend to his Mother. Killed by Lucius. A former teammate of his father. Which he know wants to kill and lived his life for. Seems like he's going down in the same path as every other MC.

The sparring match was pretty good. The power difference between Rio and the ''unmatched'' Gouki. He's a bit too strong..

The young tax collector is going against the rules that were set by this anime. He's a competent, above average looking male who isn't retard.

So he must be evil.

Oh, nice... Kamutan... I mean Ramen. Shin is grateful to Rio for what he did for Sayo. Looks like Sayo has also started to fall for Rio as every other girl. LOL. Rio also meets someone who knows about his parents and how his mother was from royalty.

Pretty sad to think that Rio witnessed his mother getting killed in front of him by someone who they trusted. Rio was pretty OP in that spar against Gouki.

Damn man, learning Zen and Ayame’s backstory hurts so much. When ayame died in ep 1 it was a meh moment, but now knowing everything about them running away and how zen was set up.. really hurts. I’m glad at least that the MC has found some family and a place where he belongs tho.

Hopefully we learn more about lucious as well soon.

So Rio is actually royalty, for sure his harem will not stop growing hahaha. It's sad what happened to his mother, she was so beautiful. Rio will definitely avenge her, considering he defeated Gouki who is Karasuki Kingdom's greatest warrior.

Seems the author kinda like the concept that bad guy will kidnap/abduct/rape woman (including royalty) without any consideration of what will happen after.

I mean, abducting the freaking princess because she's pretty in her own castle ? How dumb. Why not go for a political marriage first ? Then, try to seduce her ? Instead of risking a war ?

Also, how weak the king must be, to not only not condemn the guy for attempting to abduct his daughter, but actually thinking he did a favor by letting his daughter escape ? It would take three seconds to explain that there was no reason whatsoever for this kidnapper for being in the castle at night and then destroy them.

And how pathetic the King must be for not even sending guard or keeping track of them...

Seems the author kinda like to use this "stupid male not being able to keep it in their pants" for advancing his story. The stupid guy from last episode, this was barely conceivable but now, it's just stupid.

(Also, no, Kirito could not just be a normal guy, he had to be the son of a king...)

Basically, if you just go along with the episode, it's fine, but if you just stop to think about it, it's not :(

Haha the cocky nobility brats at Beltrum have been messing around with Rio who is reveal to be royalty haha that means he is of a higher social status then those shitty nobles though I doubt Rio will reveal his identity to anyone soon except Sayu since he said to the king and queen that he wishes to tell his cousin Sayu of his royal lineage.Cant wait for next week and does that mean no one can ever try to assault Sayu and Ruri anymore cause Rio is basically the Prince of the Karasuki Kingdom (Yagumo Region)

He saved yet another loli and gave Sayo a souvenir. That's a double win. Funny how that Loli is also related to the former attendants of Rio's Mother, which leads us to that Rio is Royalty after all. A nice surprise, I didn't think this would happen but it did give us more insight on Rio's parents and what made them leave. I still can't get over how gruesome his mum's murder is in front of his own eyes. This journey been quite positive for him as he met both sides of his grandparents and other family members.

I think the author explained it well in the Light novel, the anime was just rushed that's why the explanation felt stupid, so pls don't criticize the author based on the anime

Also Status Updated:

Dark Past ✓
Royalti Descendant ✓

I can't wait to see the next episode where he finally becomes the chosen one to pilot ancients mecha...

Because a large amount of the fanbase are Light Novel readers, and well... the two are simply incomparable. I can understand why the adaptation is poor; it's one of the hardest to adapt because of the arc structure, but still, there are so many things glossed over or skipped entirely that are pretty essential to the plot or worldbuilding

I really like the animation for this episode and glad this episode didn't destroy any art style that was animated. Sayo was so adorable... but her cuteness was poorly executed and I didn't get that *kyun kyun* vibe here. Its missing...

When Rio saved the girl that was getting abducted, it was so cool or was it average? and when Rio was known to save the girl, his face should be priceless but it wasn't.

The animation of him snatching her from the bad guy doesn't have that much great emphasis or impact to it... a bit disappointed there.

How Rio talked about his parents was so normal that I didn't even get teary about watching it but when I read it, I did. Must be the sfx/bgm's fault. I remembered it was supposed to be longer than this... but it was still good nonetheless.

Despite all of the bad things, I'm glad the ending gave a bit of Rio's prowess and it was a great battle scene.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Not really surprising that Rio is royalty, I mean it's also already hinted last episode when Ruri or Sayo I think said Rio had the aura of nobility. Sayo is adorable, but we know she had no chance to begin with lmao. Sad that there's little screentime of best girl Ruri this episode though.

Jesus, what's with the assaulting, kidnapping or raping at night moments in this show. At least Rio's mother was just straight up murdered, but that doesn't make it any better, jeez. I wanna see Rio kill that man Lucius, put his op powers to good use.

Royal capital. Kamutan, eh? Looks delicious af. I see that the date moment between Rio and Sayo became such an unforgettable memory. But, that based hairpin seller was right, cute girl. There's a lot of competition goin before you get Rio-sama holy water.

Anyway, this episode peeling off another Rio's past story. The plot also keep a convenience way straight beyond the average people's brain to be landed. Hayato revealed to be the attendant of Rio's mother, Rio saved Hayato's little sister, and her mother revealed to be the daughter of those kingdom shogun. What a little world, Rio had there.

Later part of Rio's past also told such an unfortunate story, and even the end also a very unfortune fate; betrayed by their only one and trusted partner. Pity for you, Rio, and yeah, everything else just as expected: revenge for the mc's mother and father cycle.

Don't Rio. Better you focus more on your harem, smh....

That was a nice but short date between Rio and Sayo. Would like Sayo and Rio pair along with Ruri but sadly, it won't. He's surrounded with girls but he seem uninterested in romance. I think this falls in 'unwanted harem' category yet it doesn't feel like harem like other harem shows. Afterall what he seeks is revenge.

Surprise he's actually royalty now that he met his grandparents on his mother's side. I wonder after his revenge and all, where would he settle? I would love to see the looks of the characters in Beltran especially the ones who damned him.

I honestly like this series despite the 'rush' adaptation. I was suppose to only watch the 6th episode but ended watching up to 8. I'm looking forward for more. Maybe wait till
the series is complete so I can marathon the rest as I have other anime I want to finish first.

Really, that bad? And what you said about the Naruto part, I feel sad for Rio being a character as it is.
I think I watch this series up to episode 4 and just read only the summaries on the rest ever since. Just by seeing the anime opening, I thought Rio sort of fights like Goku from Dragon Ball, flying up while holding the energy ball thing then he just smash the monster's head with it.
Even the opening song is named "New Story", but to us these stories are not exactly "new" at all, so.

One of things that entertained me is the older princess, the purple haired, and no she isn't the one who Rio saved from the kidnapper in the first episode. She is the one who didn't like how Rio smelled when he was still in a slum in the beginning of the series.

conflict is definitely more interesting that peace. And if there's one thing this show is missing it is certainly inner conflict.
why do you think people like Tsunderes so much? It's because it's a state of conflict between the love interest and the MC that eventually resolves itself. Because the relationship begins on such a negative note, it is far more satisfying when they eventually fall in love. Only issue would be that a Tsundere doesn't actually hate the MC, they just don't know how to express their feelings. A Tsundere is like having your cake (a conflict) and eating it too (no actual hatred to overcome). But at least people who write Tsunderes know what cake looks like - more than I can say for this show.

Tsundere? Who? The older princess I mentioned? She likes... "him"? I thought it was more of a "pride running through her 'Royal Blood'" being getting upset how Rio is off the chart.
So there's an another one. The thing about this princess, I assumed the anime didn't address her "inner conflict" enough, no wait I only saw her faces grumpy most of the time.

This purple haired princess, Christina the older one, I'm actually waiting for an episode if there any changes. I hope she'll appear again before the end of this season.
