Spin-spin Island!

One by one the pirates that escaped the battle that would surely be known throughout the seas as one of the most bloody and terrifying acts ever seen for years were spat out from the ocean itself. Thanks to the great pirate know as Fork these new young pirates had managed to escape with their lives intact! Perhaps it was his last act before meeting his fate but his act could possibly have the greatest effect on the course of the world itself. A new pirate Age was about to start...good pirates...bad pirates...pirates that didn’t care about anything...surely pirates of all kinds had managed to survive thanks to the great Fork and they were now baring down on their very first island of the new world!

The ships crashing back down onto the surface of the ocean in front of them was a wondrous island behind them was terrifying whirlpools threatening to tear their newly acquired ships to pieces. One by one more ships appeared on the horizon until what looked like a giant fleet the only difference between this fleet and a fleet of the marines were that each ship looked different! From the sales to the size of the ships hardly any resembled each other. Perhaps even more frightening was that some of these ships already had the mark of the pirate the famed Jolly Rodger. Some of the ships being more daring than the others sailed fiercely towards the island well it wasn’t like they had much choice. The supplies on their ships were all drastically running low with the island being a golden treasure...in hope they could replenish themselves the island would soon be overrun with countless pirates...

The island itself was one of the rarest islands in the new world or at least one of only a few islands that were known to be peaceful. The island itself was known to have beautiful warm weather with the seasons very rarely changing allowing the island to prosper as a beautiful farmland. The island itself was a natural fortress surrounded by the giant whirlpools making visitors extremely rare which allowed the people to enjoy their life even if they happened to be trapped for most of the year themselves! The land itself was perfect for pirates to gather supplies especially if those supplies happened to be food.

Being a quite island with very little visitors helped the island to prosper in more ways than one. The lack of pirate raids meant that the people of the island were more relaxed than most places although they were a bit shy of new people at first. On the edge of the shores market stalls often sold freshly caught fish with the whirlpools attracting all different kinds of fish...this was one of the ways that the whirlpools helped the island people survive. Venturing deeper into the island one would find that the endless fields were truly a remarkable sight but this island also had a grand market considering it was only the first island. Along with the people and the markets the island was perfect for pirates to explore. The warm seasons of the island as well as the lack of threats on the island made it a lost paradise for anybody wanting to simply rest and recuperate...this was the start of the new world. The stories of the new world were known by everyone. The fierce unrelenting seas, the constant islands of hell, battles of life and death around every corner...yet here was the most peaceful place on the world.

The choice was simple the pirates could either head to the island or they could be brave/stupid and brave the oceans behind them. A few of them braved the oceans and found that it wasn’t such a good idea...their ships being torn to shreds by the unforgiving waters. They didn’t live to regret their mistakes though with several sea monsters enjoying their dinner! Yes without a doubt these young pirates were in the new world where one mistake could very well send you to your watery grave!

((Since this is the first island with a marketplace it is highly recommended that you visit the marketplaces on this island atleast once! For now the whirlpools are stopping anyone from leaving, so if the idea of a story arc doesnt appeal to you then asking around town for a way off the island would be a good idea. If you manage to leave, you are free to create your own threads and go on your own adventure until the next island appears. Pay in mind you will need to alteast aquire a log pose in order to continue, another reason to visit the marketplace. The island is yours so make sure to enjoy and explore it as much as you want since there might be treasures and hidden events waiting to be triggered....and welcome to the new world you damn pirates!))

The proud black sails of a ship broke forward from the cluster of pirate ships it wasn’t the largest of them all but at the same time it wasn’t the smallest either. However the one thing that stood the ship apart from the rest was the sails. The silky black sails nothing could be blacker than these seals and yet at the same time they seemed majestic as they sailed through the wind for all to see. The sails were still a blank canvas with a Jolly Rodger yet to be decided although to be fair that was the least of the concerns for these pirates who had been fighting to stay alive up until now. The front of the ship was narrow far narrower than normal almost like a spear for cutting through the wind easier. This design allowed the ship to move faster through the waters than most others but it also served the ideal place for the captain or at least the one who decided to take this ship as his own! The petite figure head placed on the front of the ship was that of a woman’s face with her hair carved perfectly into the front of the vessel stopping just above the ocean’s surface.

Leaning over the edge of the woman’s head was a young man around the age of 18 or 20 years old his black hair running down just below his shoulder blades with the wind flicking it up ever so slight behind him. Every now and then he would run his hand through the back of his hair letting it fall back down to its natural place before the wind once again got a hold of it and the process would be repeated. His slightly tanned skin looked perfectly at home in the summer weather it was as though he had a natural tan that would scream out to all the girls that lay their eyes on the color of his skin. His clothes were pretty simple in their design in that they were simple white colored pants along with a grey shirt with the sleeves slowly darkening down until they were pure black. Not that you could actually fully see his shirt thanks to the long black jacket that he was wearing even if he left the front of it wide open allowing his chest to be seen by any onlookers. It was this persons eyes though that spoke volumes about him, the excited eyes as he watched the island grow closer and closer with each passing second...he could taste it...the excitement of witnessing something new...the chance to see another small part of the world.

“Forward to the island!” His cheerful voice filled to the brink with life roared over the ship, some of the members looked up dazed almost in disbelief at this man’s energy.

To be honest it wasn’t as if the members were part of his crew or at least they weren’t yet. They had simple banded together up until this point so that they could escape and survive that hell of a battle but without a doubt it seemed that Kuro had slowly taken charge. He was the most forward one of the group so far and wasn’t as shy as some of the others at taking charge but then again the ship was his so that helped rather a lot.

“It must be nice to be young, eh boy?” The voice came from a brutish man as he sat with his back against the side of the ship.

Usually one would expect everybody to be helping with the handling of the ship or at least most people however this ship was different. It could be sailed fairly easily with only 2 or 3 people doing the work which allowed the others to get some valuable rest and rotate shifts although the navigator rarely got a decent rest. The brute of a man was experienced or at least seemed that way due to his sheer size and age he looked to be in his thirties or even his forties...the scar down the left hand side of his face also said enough about him being in his fair share of battles. Strapped across his back was a sword that made Kuro look small! It must have been around 6ft long and probably weighed a ton which is why the man’s arms were the equivalent of tree trunks. “True it is better than being a fossil I guess.” The sharp tongue of Kuro wasted no time in striking right back at the man. This though caused the man to explode from where he was sitting as he launched towards Kuro like a homing missile. Both swords clashing together at the centre of the ship as Kuro and the old man looked fiercely into each other’s eyes and yet few moved from their positions on the ship in fact most simply sighed and went back to work!

The sounds of blades clashing against each other as both people rocked the ship side to side while at the same time both of them slammed each other with insults many which didn’t even make sense! Then again since the journey begun whenever something came up Kuro and this man would clash and more often than not nothing they said to each other would make sense. “I will send you to your grave you overgrown fossil!” “I will send you back to your mother you jumped up little cunt!” The final strike of this battle was thrown with both of the men sent spiralling across the ship floor to different sides of the ship. Each one of them smashing head first into the unforgiving ships walls which might have knocked some sense into them if it wasn’t for their stubborn nature.

“Quiet down you idiots! We have already arrived...god damn men all of them are idiots!” the young fierce girl glared down directly at both of them...her glare daring them both to make another move.

She was around the same age as Kuro her hair was also black but even longer as it finished just above the bottom of her ass. Her beautiful face was that of an angel while her temper was that of a demon it was amazing how different she was compared to her looks. It was thanks to her though that these two hadn’t torn the ship to pieces with the stupid duels! She had also navigated them during their short journey while at the same time navigating herself out of several advances from the people on the ship...they were lucky she just smacked Kuro around instead of saying no. She was right the ship had finally reached the island and they had already made port with the others securing the ship down. Thanks to the sheer speed of the ship they had managed to make port far quicker than any other of the approaching pirates which meant they would be first to step foot on the land...or at least first of the new age of pirates! Kuro was the first of the three remaining members to jump from the ship onto the shores of the island...taking in a large gasp of air he was preparing to say something...Hana was preparing to smack him even if he hadn’t noticed...

Sanity's Edge
Enters the thread

Riding the underwater streams had been a thrilling ride to say the least. Luckily all the ships that escaped from Fork's dock had been coated, including Insanity's Edge who just now popped out of the water in a glorious fountain of water. They found themselves relatively close to the shores of an island none of them had visited before, and the raging torrents of water behind them made going ashore seem like smart thing to do.

Having covered his eyes most of the way, Ringer finally took a peak at what was before them..
__________________________________________________

"Whoa, aint that something!" He said amazed, staring out towards the whirlpools that sealed off the island to the outside world. During their trip, Ringer had barely spoken t anyone. He had been quite busy covering up the fact that he was prone to seasickness in rough seas, despite many years as a pirate before sabaody. With the ship calming down however, he had started feeling better already.

"Has a'one any clue where the bloody hell we are?" He inquired, turning around to face the deck.

Marketplace Event

As the pirates get their first glimpse of the island, they notice a small town with a dock just ahead of them resting comfortably on the shore. The piers were covered in stalls and market booths with traders, farmers, craftsmen and chefs preparing for the next day which by the looks of it was going to be a big deal. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry, a girl even dropping her map behind running across the western pier. The stalls were flying banners of all kind, some had merchant symbols while others were satiric imitations of pirate flags aswell as a replica marinebanner raised by some youngsters.

Amongst the stalls, on the far end of the western pier, one particular merchant had set up quite a unique store. Out front however, the man was stampeding back and forth in a worried manner...
_____________________________________

"Oh what to do, what to dooo!? ooh.. This is bad, this is really bad!" he whined, pacing in a circle in front of the tent that contained his store. The man was tall, with emerald eyes, a dark brown skintone and long dark hair that was braided with the finest gold. His clothes and rings bore signs of great wealth, yet the contents of his store aswell as his face showed signs of someone hailing from exotic places others could only dream of.

Jewels, gold, trinkets of all kind. Weapons, armor, materials and leather. The back row was filled to the roof with books containing history, knowledge, skills and even the path to certain abilities. Contraptons and devices of all kind hung from strings from the roof, ticking, buzzing, whirling and moving like clockwork. The floor covered in the finest rugs, a stall containing rolls with the finest silk. Barrels of salt, spice, gunpowder and certain unnamed contents. A wooden table, covered in blueprints and schematics that looked like something taken out of Da Vincis book. Rows of cannonballs stacked outside, chains, ropes, timber and iron in a seperate connected area. Even a couple of cannons were positioned to look as if they were guarding the entrance to the tent, but were obviously also for sale.

But at the very back of the tent, in a closed off area behind silk curtains, there was something amiss. In there, there were two pedestals standing side by side as the sole contents of the room. His greatest prize, and most exotic items, were positioned on silk pillows inside glass casings atop each of the pedestal. In the left, a Devil Fruit. Blue-ish in color, shaped like a pineapple it had the whirlpool markings that could be found on the Town Banners all over the docks. However.. atop the pedestal on the right, the glass casing was broken. The Devil fruit it once held gone with the wind, and the broken glass remains of the casing still littered the floor beneath it.

What happened in that room? Who knows, a clever pirate might find out~

Auami and snuck aboard one of the pirate vessels and has cleverly disguised herself as one of the dancers for on board entertainment. Though she rarely danced mostly just hid and stowed away on the ship she mostly just dressed like that so that if she was found she wouldn't get into trouble.

Auami also secretly would steal from the pirates from time to time, being very careful never to get caught. The warm sea air felt good, Auami couldn't wait to get off the ship and stretch her legs, then Auami hears the words land ho and immieditly perks up, she grabs her bag of loot, looks out the window and when there close enough to the island auami jumps out the port hole. Holding her bag of loot and begins to hold onto the rudder hiding herself in the wake of the ship. When she gets close enough to shore she swims with all her might and gets onto shore away from the pirates she stowed away with.

When after awhile of circling around the beach auami heads to the market place taking the scenic route to be safe, eventually she gets to the market place and sees a whole bunch of other pirates. She immidetly goes over and begins pawning her loot, after that she buys two swords, dual pistols and some fresh sushi some of each kind which was a lot considering the whirl pools made tons of different fish arrive here.

Auami heads to the highest point in market place and looks down at all the different people she sees a boat docked in the water it is a pointy, spear, like boat with a black sail. With a guy about her age and a full grown man in his 40s, as well as a women, looking around the market she carefully studyied them and wondered if they had anything worth stealing. Then she saw another ship and it looked like it was just popin out from under water it appears to have stopped and ancored at the coast it appears that the crew hasnt left yet when she looks around she sees a stange shop keeper with all sorts of treasures.

Auamis eyes sparkled like the treasure ussally she didn't steal from most shop keeper because they were poor and could spare the money but this guy looked loaded. She was sure he could part with some of this stuff but just as she looked over at him she saw he was worried and hoped that was her way in so with that she did a few acrobatic flips down and wandered over to see what the shop keeper was worrying about.

Diana laughs boisterously. "Of course I know where we are! There's only one island in all the world surrounded by whirlpools. We're at Spin-Spin Island, my friends~"

The woman with the flashy cape and golden shoes walked across the deck, her gaze forward and not allowing itself to be distracted by anything other than the island and whatever futures awaited her. It was then that something very important had dawned on her. "...This ship has lifeboats, right?"

Such a basic question and yet none of them had bothered even asking let alone checking. "An Ironclad can't dock where there is a shore. So either we will need to swim, or we need to find a lifeboat."
Her gaze became distracted for a moment as her eyes searched for a suitable vessel and fortunately, there happened to be just one at the side of the ship. Smiling, she walks over to it like she owns the place and sits in it.
"Does anyone want to come with me?"

(The rest of this post will assume that others have used the lifeboat)

Landing ashore, Diana is the first one to go off and vanish on everyone, which you would think would be difficult given how loud her footsteps are and how flashy her cape is. Somehow she manages to pull this off and vanish into the marketplace.

Gold! Jewels! Everything she could have ever wanted was right here! Was this what heaven was like? Had she died and not noticed yet?
No. There were still beggars. Smelly ones to. With a sigh, she flicks a single coin made of 99.999% pure gold into a beggars hands, only to watch the other poor sods fight over it. Diana laughs internally as she walks into a shop and after watching the spectacle of the owner for a brief while, she clears her throat, trying to draw his attention. "Excuse me. What seems to be the problem, friend?"

- Spin-Spin Island: Marine Headquarters -

It was just another day on Spin-Spin Island, peace reigned supreme and the worst thing that was expected to happen was maybe a lost dog or cat, the typical. No criminal had set their foot on spin-spin for several years, not to mention a full-blown pirate crew.

Oyabun
Oyabuuuun!
Oyabuuuuuuun!

On the top of a hill overlooking the town of spin-spin island there stood a tiny little fortress made out of wood and stone roughly connected with rope and nails with earth filling in the cracks, it had little in terms of windows but the insides were quite nice, filled to the brink with rugs and other comforts that the marines had "confiscated" in their desperation for a better life. In terms of fortifications the door was quite thick, but anyone with half-a-brain would be able to pick the make-shift lock or simply climb through one of the open windows. The fortress could hold about a hundred men, and that was stretching it, for it could also barely hold the three cannons that they had somehow managed to stack on top of a very limited roof space, one of the cannons were kinda roped together with its cousins to avoid it falling off the fortifications and into the deeper valley below.

If the place had any kind of good defensive point about it, it would be its location. Standing on the top of a narrow hill with its back turned towards a sheer ocean cliff, the thing could only be approached one way from the ground and that was up a steep winding road that at several points almost look more like a fall than a climb, it was on a quite visible location tho, it was not exactly hard to spot the dirty half-burnt Marine Flag waving proudly over the fortress only (ramshackle) tower, none had ever dared to go back up to the top of that thing since its construction, so that the flag was still waving up there was looked upon with quite a bit of miss-founded pride.

A lone marine had been making his way up the winding path screaming his throat horse as he went, his eyes bulging with what could be misconcived as fear, but that was far from the mans feelings. He smashed into the fortress, almost not bothering to open the heavy wooden door as he stumbled into the main hall. There were several other marines present, some of them were playing cards while most were just staring emptily out into space. At the far end of the room a marine wearing a tattered marine cap and cape was sound asleep in what could only be seen as a extremely poor attempt at making a throne out of piles of stone and moss.

OYABUUUUUN!!!!!
Its horrible, no, its amazing! Its, its!..

The "boss" of the marines drowisly moved his cap over his eyes and kept sleeping til the screaming marine broke into tears of despair, or was it joy? Some of the marines looked up from their meaningless lives and sent the marine some pretty sheepish looks. "What the hell man, chill out." "What are you screaming for?" "Its 2pm dude, the fuck?" The marine kept trying to speak repeating "its" over and over again until the "oyabun" suddenly groaned annoyingly, throwing his cap down on the floor as he shot he marine a rather annoyed look, throwing him a line more like one would throw a baseball bat into someones face. "Goddammit Nelson! What the hell is it!?"

Finally seeming to get some semblance of coherence to his words, the Marine kept stammering as he explained; "I saw em out as I was fishing at the spot you know, where they got dem crabs and stuff" Some of the other marines nodded, it was a pretty good spot. "I thought I had gotten a really big one, so I tried to drag it in sir, but I think I messed up sir, cause all that came out of you know, the deep spot," they all nodded, they all knew about the deep spot. The bored marines seemed more interested now, even the boss seemed eager, urging him on. "A ship sir!" "A ship?.." "Ay! A bloody ship, I fished a bloody ship! But then I saw more and more come out of the deep spots, near the whirlpools!, at first I thought, oh man, ive had too much, but then I realized that I was bein shot at sir, and then.." The marines eyes had gone from interested to exited, almost sticking their faces up into the story-tellers mouth as they hung on his every word, the oyabun looked more shocked than exited but interested all the same. "What is it!?" He asked; "By Supreme Justice, out it with it man!"..
"They were, were;

Kaizoku!!!

- Three Seconds later a platoon of around fifty marines could be seen tumbling down the hill -

"Why does this shit always happen to me?"

She looked to the sky and wondered if "God" was laughing at her. Annoyed and hurting she closed her eyes desperately hoping that it would be enough to get rid of the pain that laced her many scrapes and bruises that lined her fragile body. Yet as soon as she closed her eyes images flashed before. Bullets flying. Cannons exploding. Screams from both marines and pirates raked at her ears. Looking down all she could see was the once green grass laced in the blood of her allies, and foes. She looked back up and was horrified. Then a resounding boom echoed much louder than the others and just as Jade turned around she saw it. A cannon ball. Flying through the air lower than the others.

Must of been a misfire she thought to herself but the thought was tossed aside as the cannon ball came hurting towards her. Ice ran through her veins as the fear of dying took hold.

"BOOM!"

Jade jerked and looked around. Breathing hard she realized that the battle was long since over with. She craned her neck and looked out. The ship was docked in a tiny harbor outside of a tiny town.

"Well I guess it is time to see if they have a marine base. If not I'll have to find a boat heading to one."

Axis washed in with the surf, no boat, and no crew just him and his trusty wrench. It was beyond him how didn't seek with the blasted thing strapped to his back but it must have been the will of the gods that he miraculously washed ashore with a virtually anchor weighing him down. He climbed to his feet and dusted the sand of his clothes before looking around for his companion, well semi-companion; she was more like a robot.

“Hmm guess she washed ashore elsewhere, I’m sure she’s fine.”

After determining that he was indeed alone he was pleased to discover he had washed up relatively close to a town, to the docks at that. Don’t want to be that creep that walks through the gates of town soaking wet; much better to enter through the docks.

A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!

Axis walks up tonto the docks and simply stands and stares. Much to his surprise though the docks were more like the centre of town; stores stretching the entire way. He lets out a slow whistle and sighs.

“May as well take a look,”

You don’t have any money

“May as well take a look.”

One of the stalls took his interest, a rather gaudy stall with a high tent that looked more suited to a desert rather than to the docks. Not only that but he could see the supposed owner pacing back and forth obviously distressed over something. Without thinking like usual Axis stepped forward.

“Uhh Hello? Hello there, May I ask what’s wrong? Perhaps I could help.”

Due to his overly optimistic nature he did not like people having problems; negativity is something that Axis simply cannot abide.

Diana's eyes dart over to the boy who had also walked up to the owner and asked what was wrong. Small world, she thought to herself. She also idly wondered why he didn't notice her. Then she dismisses that notion as ridiculous. Of course he noticed she was there. Flowing purple cape, hair styled somewhat like horns, golden shoes. She hated to admit it, but she stuck out like a sore thumb. The boy had merely thought that the distressed shopkeeper was more important for the time being.

It suits her purposes either way so she laughs. "What a small world this is. I had just asked that, myself."

Axis looks towards of the origin of the voice and is stunned when he see's the individual, his mouth hanging open as he was about to speak. How could he miss that.

"Uhh sorry didn't see you there, and y..yeah I guess so."

Axis wasn't normally one to be stunned and stuttering but when you turn around to meet some kind of purple horned creature pretending its human; well its hard not to be shocked.

Another hand reached out and grasped Hana’s hand as she held it in the air ready to smack Kuro. It belonged to a slightly older gentleman, in his early 20’s. His style of clothing was reminiscent of the old west: boots, jeans, and a brown vest with a black collared shirt underneath. Most striking was his large cowboy hat and aviator sunglasses covering his eyes. He was clean shaven with short black hair.

The wound that Sergio had sustained during the escape had stopped bleeding and was properly treated. He was even lucky enough to find a spare shirt on the ship. It was a little big on him, it was probably once a fatter man's shirt, but it would do. He wasn't going to be picky. All that mattered was that he still had his trusty guns. Two flintlock pistols his father gave him for graduating from the marine academy.

Sergio leaned down and kissed Hana’s hand. “Now now, miss. That ain’t no way for a lady to act. Let him have his fun for now. We just made it out of a pretty tight situation.” Sergio felt all of them were quite lucky that they had made it out alive. One wrong move and things would have been drastically different. “Besides, if you keep doin’ things like that every time he says somethin’, people are gonna think you’re married.” He chuckled a little, tipped his hat, released her hand, and walked up to Kuro. Putting his arm over Kuro’s shoulder, he started leading him forward towards the banners and tents signifying the market. They didn’t even know each other, except for the short time they had been sailing, but Sergio already thought of Kuro as a buddy. Of course, he treated everyone like a friend until they forced him not to.

“Man, after what we’ve been through, I think we deserve a drink. Don’t ya think?” Sergio had Scotch on his mind. When that happened, there wasn’t anyone who could stop him. “Whatcha say? It will help us relax, and we can get to know each other better. I get the feelin’ we are goin’ to be stuck with each other for quite some time. The name’s Sergio by the way. Never really got a chance to introduce myself back there on the ship, other things took priority.”

Being mere seconds away from giving Kuro another almighty smack Hana found herself under attack from another man on their ship. Well putting it under attack was stretching it a little...still though this man had kissed her even if it was only on the hand! Quickly pulling her hand away from his soft lips she did her best to hide the soft red color slowly surfacing on her cheeks, she was nervous of this man. He was different from the others they had sailed with so far unlike the others he was gentler, sweeter and a gentleman...probably a player that was good with girls however it was nice to be treated like a girl once in a while!

“Like hell I would marry that idiot! I would rather...I would rather...be!” Hana was both caught by surprise and angered all at the same time. Her tough outer appearance was slowly breaking away revealing an almost cute girl underneath it. “Hmph! I’m going for supplies.” Were the last words they heard from Hana as she quickly walked off in the other direction...

Kuro still hadn’t got to yell what he wanted not that it was that important since he couldn’t even remember what he was going to say himself. Instead he blinked a few times watching Hana and soon found an arm over his shoulder. It was an arm of one of the people he had travelled with and although some might object to be touched in such a manner, Kuro didn’t really mind. Instead he found himself being walked towards what could only be described as a market of some sort. He was going to look there anyway since he needed to pick up some things himself and markets always had information as well as deals just waiting to happen. From the sounds of it this guy was rather friendly and liked to enjoy himself meaning the chances were they would get along pretty damn well.

“Drink sounds perfect. Oh and I’m Kuro the demon girl back there was Hana...” Kuro smiled brightly while looking at Sergio. It was an honest smile of a man that enjoyed life to the fullest.

Down by either side of Kuro and well Sergio now as well were two seemingly friendly foxes. One being a beautiful white color while the other was the exact same however it was pure black instead. They weren’t threatening and the people had become familiar with them while travelling to the island since they were on the ship, they seemed to be pets of some kind. The hand of Kuro softly rubbed the black foxes head while they both walked towards the market and lucky for Kuro and Sergio it wasn’t that far of a walk or at least the first stall wasn’t. Some people were already at the grand looking stall one was a large man while the other was a strange odd looking female. The stall itself seemed to be loaded with treasure the sort that pirates often desired the most! It was treasure that could be used for money or whatever else you desired. Money could buy some great swords or maybe even better this stall could have some rare precious sword.

"Land.." Ringer sighed as he stepped onto the docks on the island. He had been landstuck on sabaody for so many years, his sea-legs had a hard time re-adjusting to the sea. And yet, here he was, back on land so shortly after their adventure had started.

The eccentric female had gone on ahead towards a very particular stall before Ringer could drag his hulking body up from the boat and onto the docks. The movement itself wasnt that difficult, it was just that whenever Ringer wasnt fighting or was otherwise full of adrenaline, his movements were akin to that of an old man. As such, Ringer was some ways behind the female as me weaved between the stalls. Having been a part of a pirate crew before, sailing the grand line, he realized that he might as well look for a Log Pose while they were there.

After having walked out on the western pier where the peculiar stall was located, Ringer noticed something interesting. He wasnt particularly perceptive or observant, but somehow this little piece of paper stood out as it rested on the ground between the stalls. Almost as if someone had dropped it. Picking it up and taking a closer look, he noticed it was a poorly drawn map to some secret hideout beyond the farmlands.

"Heh, kids~" He snickered, and held the map up towards a nearby post. Pulling a nail out of his blacksmiths-belt, he briefly activates Tekkai and drives the nail through the top of the map so it sticks to the post.
"There, in case they come looking for it" He said with a satisfied grin, and headed towards the stall.

As he arrived there, he saw the female along with another stranger trying to calm the distressed merchant.

"Diana, is there a problem?" He said as he walked up next to her, trying to get a grasp of the situation.

Marketplace Event
(Event progression triggered for: Talia_Morisane, Haissem)

The foreign merchant found himself baffled as not one but three strangers had appeared out of nowhere offering to help. He was no stranger to courtesy, but such selfless kindness was rare for someone like him. Having taken a moment to calm down, he proceeded to share his concerns with these selfless souls.
______________________________________________________________

"I.. i am sorry, it is not like me to lose myself in despair like this. I apologize you had to witness that. However, you might understand this poor merchants tears when you hear what befell me just before you arrived." He said, his tone now more calm and polite. His demeanor bore signs of having dined with royalty, the stature of a merchant most exotic.

"I have travelled the entire world, for many many years must know. I have peddled the finest soap, bartered for legendary weapons, and even seastone is not beyond my reach. But in my travels, there is but one thing i truly desire. One item, whose value makes the very act of bartering for it truly a heartpumping endeavor!" He proclaims excitedly.

"Devil fruits! Yes, i find them they most desirable ware. Men will cry for it, mothers will smother their babies for it. The rich will sell their estates for the chance to devour one, and i adore being in control of that power. The feeling of presenting a Devil fruit to a Celestial Dragon, to see his eyes grow as big as stars and his wallet grow as thin as a straw of grass. To be there when they throw themselves over it, consume it, and realize the sea has cursed their very soul forever.. its.. intruiging~"

The merchant led the three pirates inside the tent, all the way through wares that could buy the entire island 5 times over, to the room in the back hidden behind the silk curtains. Revealing to them the two pedestals, one still with the blueish devilfruit atop it, and the other a mangled husk of broken glass.

"It was taken from me.. just minutes before you showed up as a matter of fact. And it pains me to say, the fruit that was taken was no ordinary fruit.. " The merchant said, and ran his hand over the broken glass with sadness in his eyes. "My grandfather was a great merchant, and a great pirate to add. He was the one who showed me the seas, taught me to barter, and gave me the knowledge to attain the treasure of a thousand THOUSAND worlds!" He shouts dramaticly, it was evident this man really loved his grandfather..

"He.. was a Devil fruit user. His power was..unorthodox, unsuited for battle unlike many other devil fruits. I.. cannot tell you what it was, but that power became a part of who he was as much as his hair or the color of his eyes. It was his Essence. And when one day he fell from the mast during a storm, and was claimed by the ocean as punishment for the sin of eating a devil fruit, i was devestated.."

"Years later, on an island not too far from here, i witnessed a miracle. The devil fruit that my grandfather ate, the one that was a part of him, had grown back into this world. I could not believe my eyes, at first. When it sunk in, i was convinced that my grandfathers spirit was contained in this Devil fruit, that he had come back to me to guide me once more."

"However.. i have lived and suffered through the memories of how i lost him for years, how the sea claimed him for being a Devil fruit user. My resolve had been dulled by fear, and i found myself not daring to eat the fruit.. not yet, but one day i will.. i swore i would, and with it i would continue my grandfathers legacy.."

"And now.. its gone.."

"You wanted to help? Find it! I'll give you anything, i'll even give you this!" The merchant pleads, and points to the other Devil fruit. "I do not know its identity, or what its powers are, but its yours if you return the other one. Its useless for pirates like you anyway, right?"

((The shopkeepers devil fruit has been stolen, and he is offering another fruit for returning the stolen one to him since it has sentimental value. Anyone can join this event at a later time by visiting the stall on the western pier and chatting with the shopkeeper.

The clues to find the thief and the stolen Devil fruits are hidden within the "Marketplace Event" posts in this thread. To get you started, i can reveal that the first clue is hidden in the very first Marketplace Event post (which is post #4 in this thread).

Happy hunting! ))

Auami can't keep her eyes off the treasure so while he is talking to the others and he turns his back on the treasure she quickly and silently grabs one of the most valuable things she can find, tucks it as quickly as she can under a piece of clothing to hide it. After that she casually looks behind her outta the corner of her eye to see if the man noticed or is trying to attack her if he isn't attacking her or eyes her suspiously in any way she just then runs the hell away. on her way out she notices the treasure map and figures those kids may have taken the fruit from the guy so she grabs the map and quickly continues to run away. To the place listed on the map to hide her newly acquired piece of treasure.

Once she gets there she looks around for the fruit or anything that could lead to the fruit.

"Ahh, Ringer. Yes, there is a bit of a problem. This merchant. Help me calm him, will you?" She sighs with a smile on her face, continuing her attempts at calming the man. It took some time but it worked.

She listens to the mans story intently, interested in this unknown devil fruit and the potential for trade. Her greedy eyes gleamed, giving the merchant the same look that any other merchant would give when they just struck a gold mine. "An unknown fruit for an unknown fruit? That seems like a fair enough trade. However, because I lack the same knowledge as you do, it isn't nearly as interesting. Would you mind telling me what the one you are looking for grants to the eat-one moment..."

INTERVENTION!

Diana's sharp eyes did not miss the would-be thief. Her hand reaches under her cape, pulls out one of her prized pistols, and fires at Auami, the would-be thief, intentionally missing. "Going somewhere, chika?" She asks. "It's impolite to take something that is not yours~" She laughs, as though a pirate has any right to say that. "Tell you what. Work loyally for me, and I will pay you a mountain of gold once we find One Piece. Of course, you are free to refuse but...I'm sure that the local marines would just love to get a sneak-thief such as yourse-Oh she ran away."

She sighs and shakes her head. "Well? What are you waiting for, Ringer? Follow her. She may find something useful. How you do it is up to you." She grins and turns back to the merchant. "Now then. I believe we were discussing what that missing fruit is capable of. Hurry, each moment you waste is a moment that the thief can use to get away."

Auami stashes her golden prize in the hideout she found she knew the law all to well and if she wasn't caught with it then they couldn't accuse her of stealing it. It was her mistake she shouldve been watching the pirates also auami thinks to herself "o well live and learn". Auami then memorized the map after that she hides in her clothes and keeps tossing the place un aware if anyone followed her she just wanted to find the fruit or anything that could lead her to the fruit. She thought about that girls offer it was nothing but a myth pirates had been searching for one piece for ever if it was able to be found she would be looking for it herself.

She puts the offer outta her mind and decides to keep looking for the fruit or any clues.

A chance to get his hands on a devil fruit. Axis could not turn this down.

“You've got yourself a deal. I’ll find this devil fruit for you and I’ll get that one in return.”

Axis then turns to look at the weird woman next to him who was joined by a rather large man. His wrench resting awkwardly in the leather sheathing on his back.

“I guess we’re competing for the reward then. Despite that though you wouldn't have any idea where to look would you? All I've got is to search the docks for something that doesn't belong. You know like a single shoe, a dropped hat; hell wouldn't it be nice if they just drew a map leading to them and left it behind for us.”

You’re an idiot; they are looking for it as well. They won’t help you. And really? A thief drawing you a map to find them? You’re more a fool than I thought

His back was starting to cramp, when he had washed up he had failed to check if his wrench was sitting in its sheath properly and now he was paying for it.

“Oh right you probably wouldn't want to help a guy whose name you don’t even know. I’m Axis.”

He changes his posture and jiggles the sheath that the wrench on his back is in. The wrench sliding properly into the sheath with the weight dispersing across Axis’ back better as he murmurs to himself.

“That’s better.”

Afternoon
Spin-spin Island, New World

The white clouds looked pleasant. A breeze of wind gusted through his body, causing his hair to blow in the direction of east. Though he had a number of questions, he couldn’t help but be relaxed on such a wonderful island.

Ah. The breeze feels nice.

He had been lying around a hill close to the marketplace of Spin-spin Island for some time now. On that faithful day, he did all that he could in order to survive. Of course, the life he had endured set the standard of normality. An island like this is a blessing of heaven – Something he couldn’t even dream of seeing, until he had arrived. Building a mini raft, he had somehow managed to ride to another safer island in the New World. From there, his good deeds bought him a ride from a friendly fisherman to Spin-spin Island, a place he had recently stayed for a few days. Though peaceful and possibly lacking in adventure, he decided to stay here nonetheless. It was where he could appreciate the sky best, and get a great morning nap. Of course, his mornings may not be as pleasant as they once were a few days ago due to the increasing number of pirate and marine activity. Nonetheless, he stood up to stare at the sky … at the land … at the sea around him.

It was time – time to look for an unlikely adventure and ultimately, clues leading to ‘him’. Hono Shiro had begun his journey in the New World!

Hono began walking down the hill, to the nearby market nonchalantly, with a bright smile on his face. While walking, he notices and hears unusual shouts alongside the peaceful town. Yes. By this time, he had already realized it. Both sides – Pirate and Marine, had definitely begun to move.

Despite his kind nature, Hono knew that he had to take advantage of this opportunity before him. Chaos always leads to some form of development. He would use this ‘chaos’ before him without question – to find ‘him’.

Arriving close to the marketplace, he noticed somebody. That person had a fiendish aura. Yes. He was also covered in black, like the Shrouded Warrior. Of course, the level of presence between them was the equivalent of comparing a mortal with God. However, he had an essence similar to the warrior … similar to himself. He wasn’t sure about what was happening in the valuable market that stood a few feet from him, but he wasn’t exactly interested as his focus had prioritized the man in black.

Deep down inside, in Hono’s very rootes, was an urge to fight him. Of course, Hono’s very nature prevents him from doing so. He would get to know the man for now, and take the chance to learn about the newfound information scattered across the island with its recent addition of the sides.

Hono Shiro approaches Kuro, slowly but steadily.

However, though unintentionally, Hono released a striking aura. It was not the aura that would cause simple fear. It contained a presence of kindness, but also, a presence of experience. You would get the feeling that the crimson-haired kid before you has undergone the most fearsome of battlefields. The man standing before you is not only kind and dangerous, but also one that has experienced battles that the average pirate could not even hope of imagining.

Yes. This presence is who he is. This is Hono Shiro.

"The hell you mean my music is shit you snotty old man!" Noah barked at Miloi. Soon the two were locked in a heated argument throughout their commute towards Spin-Spin Island, one that thankfully ended with the two reconciling over one of the leftover bottles of rum on the ship.

As they approached the ship, Milo and Noah were singing merrily as their "fearless" leaders covered his eyes most of the way through. When Ringer finally opened his eyes to check the sights before him, his words silenced the drunken symphony.

"Has a'one any clue where the bloody hell we are?"

Noah tried to focus on the hazy view before him, but simply thought it was an illusion or his failing eyesight as he snatched the bottle from Miloi and took another swig before Diana triumphantly added,

"Of course I know where we are! There's only one island in all the world surrounded by whirlpools. We're at Spin-Spin Island, my friends~"

"Give me that!" the young man snarled at Noah while snatching away the bottle. With a hardy kick to the back of Noah's backside, the Milo launched the musician onto the life boat along with the rest of the crew.

"Happy trails!" he sung merrily as Noah yelled obscenities back at him from the boat. Minutes later Milo passed out on the deck.

Upon reaching land, Diana was the first to leave as if she knew the place already. Noah shook his head in disagreement and followed the others, hoping Ringer would have a little more sense to him than she did.

After having walked out on the western pier where the peculiar stall was located, Ringer noticed something interesting. He wasn't particularly perceptive or observant, but somehow this little piece of paper stood out as it rested on the ground between the stalls. Almost as if someone had dropped it. "There, in case they come looking for it" He said with a satisfied grin, and headed towards the stall.

"Or we can just look for it ourselves," Noah muttered to himself.

"Diana, is there a problem?" Ringer suddenly interjected.

""Or there isn't a problem," Noah muttered to himself.

After the odd exchange, Ringer is advised to follow the girl, and in giving Noah a signal by nodding his head, Noah followed behind him off on what looked to be a wild goose chase.

It wasn’t long before chaos soon ensued around Kuro which had also made him question whether he was some sort of magnet. It wasn’t as though he was being gloomy or anything in fact he was simply looking on the brighter and funnier side of how chaos seemed to follow him around like some sort of plague. By the sounds of it a thief had stolen a precious fruit of the merchant and this wasn’t any fruit by a rare valuable devil fruit that many would kill for. The reward was a similar fruit one that looked rather inviting although Kuro wasn’t sure it was the fruit he had been searching for, he needed a book of information on the fruits before he could actually eat one. He had seen many people swallow the fruits whole sale out of greed only to find out that they gained a pointless power and the cost of eating a fruit was big for anybody of the sea.

“Ah...she left.” Rubbing his head Kuro watched as one of the people had shot off like a bullet.

Of course she had taken off she had also just stolen from the merchant and probably feared for her life as well. Wait she had stolen from the merchant so perhaps she was working with this other thief to take everything of value from this man! Kuro would normally have chased after the suspicious thief however today he would or at least he would deal with something else first. Looking down towards Tenshi he lightly patted her head before stroking behind her soft white ears. She had noticed a presence slowly approaching them but she wasn’t ready to attack or eat the person. At the same time Yami didn’t seem to be that concerned either as he simply sniffed the air enjoying the warm breeze of the beautiful island.

“Sneaking up on people is not very friendly~” Kuro spoke with a smile, not intimidating but more of s teasingly friendly way of speaking.

Turning around towards the stealthy ninja the long black Jacket of Kuro flayed open for a few split seconds. These few split seconds were long enough for Shiro to see the twin Katana that were resting inside sheathes waiting to be drawn. Shiro had a similar presence to that of his own which made him interesting to say the least, it was clear that this man wasn’t from the island. He had tasted fear, death and many other feelings that this peaceful island had yet to experience although the chances of it experiencing a battle were approaching rather rapidly. With a sigh Kuro thought about all the things that needed to be completed. First of all they needed a special log pose for this new world, he had yet to pick one up so it was a priority. Then there was the other supplies that were needed however with any luck Hana was already carrying out those jobs. She was trust worthy and had yet to let him down which meant he didn’t have to worry as much as he might have had to which also meant he could focus on other things...

“My name is Kuro and this is Sergio...and you are?” For now Kuro was focused on the boy before him the merchant and anything else would come later.

Jade steps off the boat and after a quick look at the markets she decides to bypass them altogether for the time being. With her being in such a horrid state she would rather not entertain meaningless questions from the locals. After gazing over the landscape beyond the hub of the city she saw a familiar and comforting banner flapping in the gentle breeze. There situated on a hill in the distance was the Marine base she would hope to find. So without further delay she made a loop around the markets and then straight to the base.

After about twenty minutes of walking she made it to the base of the hill only to find chaos. Laying sprawled out before her were the very marines she had came to see but seeing them like this was hardly a comforting site.

"You there. What happened here?" Jade asked a marine who was slowly getting to his feet.

Kuro’s black jacket had breezed through the wind, revealing the handle of his twin Katana. Shiro, who actually meant no harm, was slightly intimidated by Kuro despite his way of speaking.

“You’ve got a mistake. I didn’t come to pick a fight with you.”

Shiro was not intimidated by Kuro’s friendly, aggressive action. He was intimidated by the fact that he had found somebody with the same essence as himself. It’s been 4 years since he’s met somebody like that.

Ah. He wants to fight too – from the moment that he saw me. He and I are similar people. Maybe he knows something …

“My apologies. I am Hono Shiro, a wandering adventurer.”

He pauses for a slight moment before continuing.

“You’re quite the odd fellow from around the area. Have you ever heard of the Shrouded Warrior before?” Shiro asks with interest. If he revealed the slightest hint that he knows about the warrior, then Shiro would do whatever means necessary to acquire the information from him.

Kuro could only but smile at the person’s question. His aura screamed that he desired to cross blades with him and Kuro would gladly accept those feelings. After all you can learn a lot from a person once you duel them at least more than you can learn from simply exchanging words and it was fun...yes that was the real reason Kuro would take him up on his challenge simply for the fun of it.

“Shrouded warrior? I haven’t seen that old man for some time now!” Kuro laughed heartedly it wasn’t a mocking laugh but one of life instead.

Even if it was a complete lie not saying that it was of course but either way it sounded like it was true the way Kuro spoke about him and laughed at the same time. Yes it sounded like they were friends somehow. Kuro slowly made his way towards the man before passing him by.

“You know him as well?” it was a simple question but one that further emphasised that he did indeed know the man himself.

By now Kuro was walking further away from both the man and the other people. He wouldn’t stop walking until there was nobody around and they were in a nice secluded place, information was a rare thing these days and it was best to make sure nobody was listening in of course. Also he had a feeling that this man would follow him to hell and back for the information about the so called warrior...the day was about to become even more fun for Kuro at least.

"You know him as well?" Kuro had said.

Shiro's eyes lit up. A fierce fire burned sparked from his eyes. That man was clearly of great significance to Shiro's entire being - Just the fact that somebody else may possibly know the man is worth the effort to clash weapons with.

Old man. Though I've never seen his face, it is clear that the man was still quite youthful. Despite the fact that this is probably an utter lie, I will not take any chances. I will get 'Kuro' to reveal everything that he may know about the enigma shrouded in mystery.

Though he could peacefully engage in a conversation with Kuro, Shiro felt as though this was the moment that both of them were waiting for. From a bystander's viewpoint, it could almost be called an excuse to fight unnecessarily.

Shiro slipped out a "Black Key", a long, thin rapier-like sword and held it between the middle and index finger of his right hand. He would need to get a feel for his opponent before getting serious. He then slowly walks up to Kuro.

"I apologize in advance ... however ... I will need you to tell me about him right now."

“hmm...if I simply told you what would I gain from it? Also where would the fun come from?” Kuro spoke rather teasingly again despite the fact that Shiro had drawn his weapon.

Indeed Kuro didn’t seem to be fazed by Shiro drawing his weapon if anything he was even happier than before. Both of the foxes had lay down at the sides of the area their heads resting peacefully on the grass while watching, their ears flicking every now and then in the warm wind. Kuro made sure not to take his eyes off Shiro as he approached him it would be dangerous to take your eyes off a stranger with a weapon after all although at the same time it might be fun...dying wouldn’t be too much fun though so yeah probably a bad idea.

“How about this? A simple game where once you manage to hit me I tell you everything I know about him?” it seemed the best way to get to Shiro was through this man and Kuro would gladly use that to get what he wanted...

While speaking Kuro slowly drew one of his swords from the dark sheathe. The sword looked like a plain blue Katana although it was fairly strong and well built it wasn’t exactly top class. The tip of the blade was clearly pointed down towards the floor in a way that when brought up it would be designed to kill or seriously harm depending on what he wanted in one single strike. The aura radiating outwards from Kuro was one that had taken many people’s lives and yet it wasn’t evil at the same time. Kuro was neither good nor evil or at least that is what one might get from the unusual aura surrounding him.

- Catalyst Event: Interaction, or lack of thereof can potentially have long-term effects on story and characters, pirates only -

- East Side Of The Island -

On the eastern-most point of the island there was a long empty coast lined by a wide grey beach that bordered the sheer cliff-face that lead up to the make-shift marinefort, it was a mostly empty place with nothing but a few seals laying lazily on the few rocks that dotted the beach, on this beach a man had just been thrown ashore by the oceans, his massive body covered in scars, whatever cloths remained so ragged and ruined that they barely held together.

((It is unlikely that more than a single crew finding him, so I would appreciate modesty if you see a member of another crew interacting with this event.))

All this time, Sergio had stood there and listened to Kuro and this stranger, Shiro, discuss something about some Shrouded Warrior. Sergio vaguely remembered hearing things about this Shrouded Warrior back during his marine days. But nothing that was really useful for anyone looking for him.

They seemed to have forgotten about Sergio, but he wasn’t really fretting over it. He wasn’t one for the limelight. The scotch was calling his name, but he decided it could wait with the new developments. He wanted to see this little spar between Kuro and Shiro. Each gave off this aura of deadliness. However, Sergio could tell neither of them actually wanted to kill the other. It was more of a mutual feeling of respect, and a desire to find out more about the other person. It was a chance to get a decent look at Kuro’s skills and fighting style as well. If they were going to be crewmates, Sergio wanted to know how Kuro fought.

Sergio had gone over and sat down next to Tenshi and Yami, petting them while they laid in the grass. It didn’t take long for Shiro to attempt a strike at Kuro after the details of the spar were decided. He was quick and methodical. Taking a shot at an area that would make it quite difficult for Kuro. Though, Sergio didn’t expect Kuro to go down that quickly…

As one of the marines rose to his feet he looked over to the voice who called him out, unfortunately for the marine who were trying to address the group, she had caught them on a most bad time, he might think himself looking like a strap fit marine lady, but all the marines of the extremely bored division in their excitement could see, was a pirate in white ragged cloths.

Kaizoku!

He screamed and pointed, the others looked towards her like hungry seagulls to an unprotected burger, the chorus as one making it very clear their intentions as they suddenly got to their feet, charging towards the woman, guns and swords raised as they went, these marines were too caught up in their exitement to even notice the shreds of marine symbolic still left in her clothing, and nothing she could say would probably convince them right now, or deafen out the noise they were making.

Having no choice but to turn and flee for her dear life, the Marines chased her through the slopping valley and down towards the main town where the people and pirates there could now see a massive cloud of dust rising up towards them, and those close could see a single girl running as fast as she could from the rampaging horde behind here.

((Into: These Marines are now within the vicinity of the main town, this means that criminal action of any kind will be much riskier, those who are obviously pirates should get ready to fight, hide or flee. The marines are few in number, around 30-50 in total, but they are all vets, meaning they won't go down easily, making it very dangerous to face too many at the same time, though nobody should have a problem 1 vs 1, 1v2, 1v3 and so forth, 1v10 could become life threatening depending on your characters ability, the leader of these marines are about as strong as any one of you, but not more than two at the same time.)

"Why! Why?! Why does this always happen to me!?" Jade screamed as she tore through the outer edges of the market place she was getting tired and with the adrenaline slowly fading from her veins she made a decision. A decision that would probably not bode well for her in the long run but she was tired of running from everything. Tired of always being looked down upon by her piers so with that she stopped mid-stride, pivoted with her left leg and swung with her right fist.

She made contact with the marine closest on her trail. The pain from the impact was more than she was expecting but she ignored the pain and followed through collapsing the marines nose and sent him staggering backwards.

"I'm a marine God dammit! Now stop chasing me!" she screamed as she pointed to the tattered marine symbol on her shoulder. Between Shabody and the rough trip over not much was left of it but hopefully it would be enough to convince the muscled up thugs to stop and listen to her.

"My name is Diana, and I could buy everything in this city, even the dirt, 10 times over." She holds out her hand to the new acquaintance. "Well I suppose I will help as well then."

She sighs dejectedly. "Now come~ We have two thieves to chase!" She laughs and enters the back of the tent, taking Axis with her. "Noah has gone after that new thief and the old one can't have gotten far."
She looks around, trying to spot some clues when she notices two things. One, a set of footprints that would lead them in the general direction. Two, part of the thief's clothes were torn and there was a little bit of blood on the ground. The thief must have injured itself and used a part of their own shirt to stop the bleeding.

"If I were a thief...where would I hide something so valuable as a devi-"
A flash of inspiration suddenly hit her. "They wouldn't hide it! The merchant hasn't been very vocal about it so why not try to sell it right away? Or perhaps run somewhere safe to eat it. The thief may be starving? No. Just about everyone on the grand line knows what a Devil Fruit is. That leaves only the possibility of selling it."

With a nod, she exits out the back of the tent, heading for the marketplace. She had a bold plan that guaranteed results. Nothing was more constant than human greed. "Axis. You're good with gadgets, right? Do you have something that can enhance ones voice?"

Axis shakes her hand and then follows her as she deduces the situation, slightly impressed at what she can glean from the mess within the tent. When Diana requested a device of him it was one he had actually helped make before, back in the facility.

"Hmm probably won't be able to make a proper one but....."

He looks around the room and spots the bottom of the broken case, a gold bottom to be precise. He reaches in and touches it making it slide a bit.

"As I thought, nobody wastes money on a solid gold base."

Axis pulls the glass away from one side and breaks the edge of the case and slides the square plating of gold out of the case. Carefully he bends the gold and rolls it into a cone, the small end large enough to be spoken into.

"There, works on the same principle as cupping your hands, just bigger. If only I had some wiring though. Careful not to squash it, gold plating is rather soft."

He hands the makeshift megaphone over to Diana and waits to see what she will do with it.

"Gold wire, you say?" She asks, taking off her headphones. Her hair that had been styled like horns now lay flat as nothing was there to keep it in position. She then hands the headphones and the makeshift megaphone to Axis. "There's gold wiring in these. Don't worry about them, I have 12 more on the ship."

"Thanks, now lets put this together, just give me a second."

Axis takes the headphones and cone and sits them down on a nearby bench. He then reaches into one of the many pockets on his pants and pulls out a handful of small electronic pieces.

"Not sure how good these will be after my little swim"

Axis takes the headphones and strips away the rubber coating revealing a nice lengthy piece of wire. He reaches into a different pocket and pulls out a small set of pliers and cuts the wire away and lays it down next to the cone. Next he sorts through the junk he pulled from his pocket until he finds what he was looking for, a microphone and several other headphone earpieces. Out of the same pocket the fliers had been in he pulls out a tube of industrial glue, a bit of overkill but you work with what you got.

Axis glues all the earpieces together to make a flat makeshift speaker that could be fitted into the gold cone, wire connecting all the earpieces and coming out the back of the cone as a single wire.Next he takes the microphone attachment and connect the wire from the speakers to it and glues it to the back end of the cone. Lastly Axis connects the wire from the mic/speaker to a small switch and glues it to the side of the cone and holds out the megaphone in front of him, wires dangling from the back end .

"Not the prettiest but it should work."

Axis flicks the switch and a horrible screeching sound is emitted to which he quickly turns it off, jiggles a couple of wires and starts it up again. this time only emitting a small pop as it turned on.

"Here it's all yours."

Axis hands the megaphone back to Diana.

Diana nods. "Thank you. Now then."

She looks around and finds a suitable spot, a rooftop nearby. With a satisfied grin, she walks over, kicking the door open, shocking the people inside. She quickly tosses them a coin purse filled to the brim with golden coins. "For your roof, I'd like to borrow it for a while."
The family says nothing and just lets her do as she pleases. Once on the rooftop, Diana places one foot firmly on the edge, places the megaphone to her mouth, pulls the trigger, and makes an announcement.

"Attention people of Spin Spin Island. My name is Diana Marsaad, and I am looking for a devil fruit that has been stolen. Any information that leads me to its safe return will be paid in TWICE the fruits value. However, if you are the thief of the fruit, I give you another offer. I will pay TRIPLE it's worth in gold and the marines will not need to hear about this little incident IF you hand the fruit directly to me.
Report all news about suspicious activity, or return the devil fruit to me, no one else. Just look for the only blonde broad with a purple cape and solid gold shoes! I will be waiting at the docks, so you shouldn't have difficulty finding me. Again, I am Diana Marsaad, looking for a stolen Devil Fruit. With blonde hair, purple cape, and solid gold shoes. I'll be waiting~"

With her message sent, Diana leaps down from the rooftop, landing with a roll to minimize the shock.

The girl that dropped the map from before, still hanging around town trying to find the map, heard the other girls voice boom over the little town. A sly smile crept across her face, becouse her plan had just come together in the most unexpected way.

She had indeed taken the fruit from the Exotic Merchant, and did indeed plan on extorting money from him once safely at her hideout. However, she had never imagined that someone would triple her profit before she had even left town. With Beli-signs in her eyes, she ran like the wind towards the source of the voice with the Devil fruit safely hidden on her person.

"I-is it true!? Will you really pay me triple what its worth miss?" The girl said as she rounded the corner and saw the one who had yelled out the offer. Her body looked as frail as her voice, with nothing but a potato sack cut like a dress as clothing. It was clear this girl had absolutely nothing except for her skills as a thief.

"I-i wont give it you before i see the money!" She yelled nervously, keeping an eye on the wierd guy with the wrench aswell.

Auami had read the map right, and found the secret hideout of the thief hidden under a waterfall beyond the farmlands. Unfortunately, neither the thief nor the Devil fruit she stole seemed to be in the cave. However, the cave seemed to be leading even deeper into the hillside, beyond the torchlit area the thief used as hideout. Further exploration of this unexplored cave leads Auami to an old pirate hoard. There was gold and barrels of salt and spice in the middle of the room, hiding behind a large ornate chest that seemed locked up tight.

It would be a shame to leave that gold behind~

(The hoard contains a dozen swords and pistols, aswell as 800.000 beli in Gold. The chest in the room can only be opened by either: Picking the lock (requires 1000sp in Devices), smashing the chest with brute force (requires 1000sp in strength), blown open with explosives (requires you to actually have something that goes "boom", or otherwise forced open with a devil fruit ability.

The chest is heavy, but is possible to drag back if you find that you cannot open it but dont want to leave it behind)

Diana raises an eyebrow. She didn't expect her to come this quickly. However, she smiles back. "Now now. Surely you don't expect to carry all of that money on your person? The weight would surely crush you!"
She laughs. "Also, show me the fruit and then we will talk. I want to make sure you actually have it before I sign any money over to you. Do you have some place where we may speak privately?"

Kuro found himself once again being pulled away it seemed that ever since he had come to the island and gotten of his ship that he had simply been pulled around the island. Well not that he minded he still got to where he wanted or thereabouts so it wasn’t exactly anything bad. The marines were closing in so Shiro had a good point about not wasting anytime and his aura was threatening but thankfully it was directed at him and only at the marines...well the marines were girls and one was a kid so maybe it was a little uncalled for.

“Sergio we are leaving it seems!”

By now Kuro was running along by the side of Shiro at his own will while at the same time contemplating what will happen next. Shiro would probably not take too kindly to the information he was going to find out about this warrior person and by information it would be better to say lack of it! Kuro couldn’t help but laugh it seemed that the peaceful island was anything but peaceful now...and he enjoyed that. He wasn’t the sort to waste life he wanted to have fun and enjoy it as much as possible so the more things that were going on the better! At least it was for him anyway.

They seemed to be running the same in the same direction that they originally came from which would mean they were heading back to the marketplace, Kuro would have normally gone into the main town. However with the marines on the charge the chances were they would soon take over the centre of the town to trap and take any pirates by surprise. With a sigh Kuro quickly dismissed the town as a bad choice so the drinks would have to wait for a little while longer...shame he really wanted to taste the islands drink as well as other things.

“Let’s go to the docks first...never mind we should head to the beach.” The quick mind of Kuro worked in overdrive as he put the pieces to the current puzzle in place.

The marines would certainly go to the town but at the same time they would also head to the docks to stop any pirates from escaping. Escape being impossible thanks to the whirlpools still being up meant that the best option for now would be to hide the ship. They would then find as much information as possible about the island and the whirlpools...there must be a way off the island. All the while they would need to evade the pirates and this was the most fun part. Kuro couldn’t help but smile at the thought of a challenge. He was right the new world was the place he had been searching for.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

((Event.))

Meanwhile during all the chaos caused by the festival and the new guests arriving there was a small young boy no older than 8 crying in the corner of a stall. The boy wasn’t dressed in anything expensive instead he was dressed in clothes that you would expect from a working family that owned a farm on the island. His hair was a dirty blonde color although the dirty part was simply down to the mud he had been playing in. Yes this boy was one of those kids that knew how to enjoy his short lived freedom of youth, the sort that would take a ball and roll around in the mud until the sun went down unlike the kids that preferred to waste their freedom by staying at home. However the boy was no longer smiling but crying as endless amounts of tears fell from his face like water falling from a waterfall. The people though passed him by without a care in the world or a thought of why this boy seemed to be crying and the ones that did stop simply dismissed him as an annoying brat that needed to grow up...even the stall owner tried his best to kick the small young child away. After all this child was ruining his business and this sort of business only occurred once every year...there was no time to waste on a crying brat.

After having followed Dianas orders, for some reason he could not figure out, he suddenly found himself lost amongst the stall with the thief nowhere to be found. His sense of direction wasnt bad at all, but in this maze of stalls he quickly lost track of his location in his hurry to chase down the thief.

After loitering around for a good long while, trying to get his bearings, he suddenly heard Dianas voice. Rejoiced to find a friendly face, he was already heading towards her location when he was distracted by a little boy crying next to a stall. He didnt really have the time to stop and check, but a part of him caused him to do so anyway.

"Oi lad, what'chu wailin for? Some bully take off with your toy? Want me to scare him for you?" He said with a warm smile, letting out a hearty chuckle.

The refusal to show her money caused the girl to become even more nervous, visibly taking a step back looking for escape routes.

"N-no i dont trust you, p-prove that you have it or you will never see me again!" She said nervously, although something in her tone hinted that she was quite confident in that last part.

Auami looks down disappointed as she sees no theif and no clues to the theif, after searching for awhile she picks up the gold item she stole from the exotic merchant and begins to explore the cave. After awhile she find a giant treasure chest and dollar signs go off in her head, she wonders what's to do with it. She was a decent lock picker but this was obivosuly way beyond her skills and she wasn't very strong so she decides to drag it all the way outta the cave making sure to erase any signs of dragging as she drags it, once out she throws the gold she stole in the water along with the chest, then jumps into the water after it. She figured this is the best way to hide the gold she found she begins digging a whole underground, under the water while holding her breath carefully coming up to breathe from time to time. Eventually she finishes digging a whole bigg enough and dumps the chest in the hole but at the last moment decides it be better to sell the gold for dynamite so takes it and covers the hole up. After that she exits the water and begins to walk back to town. Once she gets into town she sells the gold and begins looking for a place to buy dynamite. Eventually she finds some and she buys 4 stick of dynamite and some nitroglycerin from another stall just for safe measure. Once she has what she needs she begins to head back to the spot where there's a chest.

Diana sighs and takes off her shoes, showing that they were made from solid gold. "Does it look like I'm not loaded to you? Very well then...I will show you, but we must go somewhere privately. We don't want prying eyes or anyone trying to snatch it all away."

She reaches into her pocket, concealing what she was really doing, before pulling out a wad of Beli easily worth the price of the devil fruit. "I'll give you 1/3 now and the rest when we reach somewhere a little more private, and show me the fruit, got it? I understand that you do not trust me, but look at it from my perspective. I can't really trust you either. If you want to get a little, you have to give a little. I will leave my friend here and come with you into your own territory alone where you will have the home field advantage if I decide to do something stupid, which I won't. That would be stupid." She jokes, trying to lighten the tension as she holds out the money.

"It's a-ll up to you. More money than you can even count for a little alone time and the fruit or let this golden opportunity vanish before your eyes. What's it going to be?"

As if to sweeten the deal, she turns to Axis, pulling out her guns and taking off her cape and handing them to him. "Hold these...they're worth more than a Devil Fruit." She says before turning back to the girl. "I am unarmed. Now make a decision. My arm can't hold this money forever~"

She won't give him the gold, she plans to trick him

Axis takes the cape and guns and says to the little thief.

"As she said I'll stay here, trust her."

“To the beach it is! But before we head there, I want to take a quick detour.”

Shiro took his hand off Kuro’s shoulder as the two headed towards the same direction. Shiro led Kuro using his knowledge of the different city routes. It certainly proved to be advantageous to arrive at the island a few days before these conflicts had started. The duo took a few shortcuts through the alley and were about to arrive at the Marketplace within a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately, two marine soldiers were spotted nearby the area. Though they didn’t appear to be notably strong, they were approximately 7 meters from the marketplace. Fighting would cause a public spectacle.

“Let me take care of this. Follow my lead,” whispers Shiro.

Shiro and Kuro slowed down before they had noticed him, and began to slowly walk to the marketplace.

“Excuse me. It has come to our attention that something strange has crawled up at this nearby alleyway. Could you two follow us to check things out?” Shiro said as he let out a smile and then pointed at the alley to where they came from. It was a warm, familiar smile – Not the kind you’d expect from a pirate.

The marines decided to believe him and began walking to the alley.

As Kuro and the marines began to head to the alley wall, Shiro stayed at the marketplace for a few brief seconds. Taking advantage of the fact that the marines have had their attention diverted elsewhere, Shiro steals a log post from the marketplace. He ran to catch up to Kuro and the other marines.

As they approached the alley …

“Hm? There doesn’t seem to be anything here.”

Within an instant, Shiro had slipped out a black key with each hand. The marine closest to him simultaneously took a knee to the stomach and a blow to the neck. Shiro had effectively used the handle of the Key to dish out an hit that would knock the soldier unconscious without killing him.

Shiro dashed to the second marine that was about to take out his gun. He slips back one of his Keys and immediately chokes the marine. He temporarily releases his hold to pick up the marine by his chin, with the palm of his hands covering the marine’s mouth. Using his right hand, he stabbed the marine in a non-vital part of his body.

“G-Guh!”

Blood rushed from the second marine’s mouth and spilled on Shiro’s hand. The sound from his mouth was masked by Shiro’s palm. Shiro released his grip, causing the second marine to fall onto the ground. He was also unconscious.

“I’ve knocked them out – Their injuries aren’t serious … Here, take this.”

Shiro hands Kuro the log post that he had stolen from the marketplace from earlier.

“You have a ship, don’t you?”

He then wipes the palm of his left hand that had been covered with blood. Another image of a battlefield slipped into his mind.

U-Ugh. Seeing the world in conflict has started to help me remember the past, hasn’t it?

Immediately after the memory of the battlefield, Shiro had felt a surge of murderous intent from the nearby pirates in disguise. It was extremely, extremely subtle … but … he had felt it. For Shiro, it was the first awakening of Observational Haki ever since he had lost his memories … Observational Haki Usage

It happened in an instant. To Kuro, it would only seem as though Shiro had paused for a moment. He had skilfully disguised his moment of discomfort. With the log post out of the way, Shiro and Kuro headed off to the beach in a matter of minutes through the alley shortcuts that the two continued to use.

As they arrived, Shiro noticed a massive man covered in scars. With only a single glance, he could tell how dangerous that man was.

“Be on your guard,” Shiro says to Kuro as he stares at the man for a brief moment, hinting the danger that he was referring to.

Kuro could only watch as Shiro took care of the marines he hadn’t killed them which made him think that Shiro did have a kind heart which seemed rare these days. Allowing the enemy to love though could often prove dangerous but if that was Shiro’s choice then Kuro wouldn’t get involved. Instead he had taken the log pose from him and placed it in the inside of his jacket where it would be safe from harm. It was lucky since Kuro remembered being told he needed this special log pose for the new world since the older one wouldn’t be of any use on these strange tides. That was one thing dealt with the next would be hiding the ship and then finding out some valuable information but everything was falling into place rather nicely...this puzzle was almost complete.

“You know leaving them alive was dangerous right? They will know your face more than likely now.” Kuro didn’t seem too bothered even if his words were more serious than before. Instead it was more like he was saying something he had been told in the past.

Thanks to Shiro it hadn’t taken them long to reach the beach and as Kuro thought his ship was already on the move. Hana was more than likely the one that was sailing it along the shore of the beach like they had agreed. The question was whether there were any caves. If not then they would hide the ship behind the cliffs out of the way of any prying marine eyes however something else had caught his attention something more serious. A wounded man well a monster of a man like the one on his ship currently or maybe this man was even larger...although he was in worse shape. Well it seemed as if the man had washed ashore thanks to the currents in the ocean, had he come from the same battle they had? The wounds on his body certainly told a story of some sort of dangerous battle and if it was enough to damage a man of his size to this point then maybe something more dangerous was on the island. Of course if he was a pirate then he could have been betrayed by his own crew or ripped apart by something in the ocean...since the rest of his crew weren’t here.

“What do you think Shiro? A pirate who has been left behind or something?” Kuro asked while looking down at the large man.

His wounds were serious that was for certain as Kuro ran his finger along the man to see how fresh the man’s wounds were while also checking to see how wet he actually was. By now his ship was passing them by well it had actually stopped which was a good thing. Kuro wasn’t good at healing people so he would need help from the crew on his ship...the question was how would they actually move this man and what had actually happened to him. Picking him up seemed the only option since he was unconscious.

The boy simply shook his head to the person who asked about the girl well he might have seen a few people running around but that was normal during this time of year. Rubbing his eyes the boy was still crying but had slowly began to calm down or at least the best a young child could do anyway. His hands were soaked in his tears as well as his clothes which showed he had probably been crying for a good few hours.

“No...I haven’t seen a girl like that but...” The boy’s broken speech was more down to his sniffling and crying than actually being nervous of the two strangers.

Letting his head fall down between his legs with the last few of his tears hitting the ground below him. It wasn’t that he wanted to stop crying but more than he had been forced to with the lack of water left in his body...the sniffles still remained and he was more upset than a kid who had simply been bullied or picked on. The fact that the stall owner had kicked him several times with the boot marks being imprinted into his clothes meant that something serious had probably happened or at least it was serious for a kid.

“She is gone...my older sister...w..we were playing...but she disappeared in the field...I can’t find her at all...” the young boy looked up at the two men terrified not because of what might happen to him but because of the terror at losing his sister. “Nobody will help me and they say im a lair but i promise it’s true! We were playing then she just disappeared from the field. I have searched everywhere but she isn’t there...”

As Kuro checked for wounds something in his brain pulsated slightly, like a nervous tick trying to alert him of danger, his skin started to crawl for no apperent reason, or was it instinctual fear? Continuing to check the body he found that the wounds on the mans body were actually mostly old battle scars, some had re-opened but otherwise his wounds were mostly superficial if not for a couple of signs of blunt damage to the upper back. He looked kinda old, around 30-40 perhaps? but then again sea life could pre-maturely age a man.

Kuro was about to lift his hand when he suddenly found himself held back, the mans right arm so far hidden beneath the sand had suddenly snapped to life and grabbed his wrist, the beast of a mans hand was almost three times the size of his, and surprisingly the grip had immense strength behind it, despite the guys obvious weakened state.

Mizu..

The rest of the mans body was still unmoving, but the hand held firm like the grip of a statue as the mans raspy voice repeated the message again. Mizu.. Bring me water..! The hand clenched Kuros a little harder before he seemingly lost strength and it fell down into the sand again.

Overhearing the conversation as he had been with Kuro, Shiro nodded at the man with a smile on his face.

Shiro had immediately dashed back into town using the knowledge of shortcut routes. After snooping around a few stores, he found a massive, clean container that could hold up to dozens of liters of water. He paid one of the nearby restaurants to fill the container up with water, and headed back.

It took a few minutes, but he came back with quite the amount of water.

"Here you go."

Shiro placed the water container, opened up, to the injured man's left side.

The sudden movement from the unconscious man startled Kuro it wasn’t that it was exactly fast but more that it came out of nowhere. The grip was strong as well far stronger than Kuro thought would be possible with the man’s current state. Maybe the man wasn’t as badly hurt as Kuro originally thought or at least that was what he was thinking now. Kuro didn’t say much at first despite the man gripping his wrist so firmly...no that was the reason Kuro wasn’t saying anything since he didn’t have time to think if he was under threat or not.

“Ahh that scared me...and my ass hurt now...” Kuro let out a sigh while looking up at the sky. He was now sitting on the beach as well since he couldn’t move backwards he had fallen on his ass.

Lucky enough for him the man thought he was somebody called Mizu and was asking for some water so he didn’t mean anything bad by what he did. Thinking about it the man could probably snap his wrist like a twig. If the man wanted water then it was probably best to get him some but Kuro didn’t want to leave him alone either since that could result in problems happening. Turning towards Shiro Kuro blinked as he had taken off for some water probably...even though the ship was far closer but maybe he had also panicked! Kuro nodded slightly he was sure that Shiro had also panicked and took off for some water since people don’t think in situations like that...or he was an idiot. The first option sounded better though!

“i don’t think he will drink the water that way.” Kuro smiled while watching Shiro hold the water towards the man. he was indeed soft and kind or seemed that way.

Instead of holding the water Kuro tipped some against the man’s mouth, chances were as soon as the man felt the water he would probably grab it or something. He wasn’t exactly dead and still had quite a bit of life in him if that grip was anything to go by. Now Kuro just had to wait for the man’s next show of life and hopefully it wouldn’t be something disastrous for him...
