WELCOME TO SAWTOOTH ISLE

Sawtooth Isle used to be a pirate fortress belonging to the notorious Sawtooth Pirates and their Captain; Bloodbeard. However the Sawtooth pirates mysteriously disappeared as if overnight and it was not before long passing merchant and trader ships decided to use the old pirate fortress as a safe haven. It was once these traders started staying on the Isle that they discovered some very interesting and profitable about the local volcano and hot springs. For reasons that cannot be explained the volcano is actually located over a large underground lake.

The volcano has a unique property in that it refines any rocks, metals, or general material thrown into it which sinks to the bottom of the volcano and into the lake. This refined metal is known as blood steel due to its coloration and as a reference to Captain Bloodbeard. Blood steel is unique in that it is as strong as regular steel however it is lightweight and actually floats on water. It is because of this that it is able to be harvested.

Once the blood steel is cooled in the lake it loses its density and floats to the top of the lake and into the nearby hot springs where the residents of the Isle harvest the metal. Since the merchants and traders discovered this unique metal the old pirate fortress has developed into a thriving shipyard with many skilled shipwrights travelling from all over just to work with the precious metal.

The waters in front of Sawtooth Isle are rather shallow and littered with reefs, rocks and the remains of old ships and it is advised to approach with the use of a smaller vessel. There is one deep entrance that leads into the heart of the fortress that is used by the shipwrights to get ships in and out when they are working on them. This channel is deep enough for the largest of ships.

As of late there have been disturbing reports of people going missing within the mountains surrounding the volcano. Victims are being found with large chunks of flesh torn out of them or even the bones stripped clean. Rumors have begun to spread that whatever it is it is what caused the Sawtooth Pirates to disappear. Others however state that it is Bloodbeard seeking vengeance for his crew and has come to reclaim his fortress.

A small boat that seemed to be able to carry a single passenger floated along the small waves pushing it toward the shoreline of the well known and sought out Sawtooth Isle. From afar the boat seemed to be empty, only the sail visible but what laid within was a young girl dying of thirst and hunger on the floor of the small boat with her arms stretched out from each other with her face toward the sky. Before making it toward the edge of the isle, the boat got swept by a large wave throwing it toward another larger merchant, the large essence of shade brought by the large merchant ship had awakened her from being surprised. Were they trying to rescue her or were they actually going to attack her for anything she's worth, lifting herself from the floor and watched as the merchant was about to consume her little ship, from the large it created it sucked the back of her ship into the water causing it to sink before she jumped onto the tip that reached for the sky and jumped from there and onto their own ship though falling onto her knees from being to week.

"Fo...od"

She said with her last breath before falling onto all fours and being surrounded by the other merchants that were upon the ship itself trying to help her regain her strength bringing a large piece of bread and drinkable water.

"Don't die on us miss! We're almost to Sawtooth port!"

One of the men shouted before making her chuckle silently under her own breath before thrusting her hands at the large piece of bread then scarfing it down like a wild animal before elegantly patted away the crumbs from her pink lips and drinking the water allowing it to pass her lips and flow down her cheek down her neck and onto her chest feeling the sudden refreshing coldness from the water. She gave them all a slight bow, throwing her large blonde braid over her shoulder.

"Sorry guys but I must bid you all a adieu. Thank you for the pocket money~"

She said lifting a few small bags of gold within her hands before dashing past the men and onto the rim of the ship awaiting a closer edge of the port before jumping off. Most of the merchants were to dumb founded to understand but once one had noticed it was their money she stole the rest charged toward the rim of the ship before stopping and watching her skip away with their hard earned money. She recalled one of them saying something about "Sawtooth" before shrugging at the thought and continued off within the heart of the fortress before they get their ship ported and come after her.

Walking through the crowds of people obviously shorter then most of the pedestrians but still held her head high, with both of her hands by her sides and a bright smile on her face with her glasses slightly drooping showing her pinkish iris's to the world glistening from the sun light. He hair flowed down her right shoulder in front of her and took very loud steps as she paraded through the streets. Some of the merchants along with their fellow crewman watched as she walked with confidence some snickered while others wished they had that within themselves, through the windows some looked down at her bright rich blonde hair that lit up in the sun and were slightly blinded to say the least. She stopped in the center of the large fort, placing her hands on her hips before making the utmost serious face looking in all directions not knowing where to start first. Watching as the muscle of the place continued to build homes, shops and equipment for both battle and utilities along with shop vendors coming from across the seas to sell what ever they can to make an honest living or even a name for themselves as the best merchant holding the best merchandise. She was puzzled with what to do now that she's actually made it to the first island since she started her voyage and doesn't intend to stay here forever, much less a week to say the least. Maybe go after some fantasy like rumors about and head off into a little adventure or maybe head to the pub hoping they'd allow someone her age to just walk in. Throwing a large sigh into the air she crossed her arms under her chest in annoyance of where to begin will "fate" bring her to what she searches or will she have to act before finding the next clue, not even she can tell but that's the means of adventure if she wasn't mistaken. Suddenly a large man holding what looked to be a large log under his arm, for someone of his size it was likely possible for him to do something of the sort but she just looked at him curiously.

"Excuse me miss, are you lost maybe I can help you around. May I ask your name?"

Was this a sign of kindness in his voice or was it lust, she wasn't that good at telling when someone is lying or when someones telling the truth but sometimes she'd just have to wing it and trust the person that seems the most trustworthy when the time comes to it, but it didn't feel like that as of yet. Dropping her arms and placing her left hand on her hip while the other poked at the mans chest, while a snicker grew on her face.

"There wasn't a need to ask nor was there a reason for you to be polite and speak your name first. The names Mio, I'm trying to get people to get to Blondie though....Oh and I'm a pirate!~"

She said with a smile but the man just let out a full hardy laugh, placing his hand on his chest hoping trying to not let his lungs explode from the hilarious joke she just told. Was there something funny about her being a pirate, or was there something funny about pirates in general. Curiosity over took her mind as she stared at the man bringing most unneeded attention toward them both.

"How is something as small, soft and gentle looking as yourself a pirate! Huh!? Little munchkin!"

He said without holding back, speaking the whole truth to what had become to his own assumption not knowing what or who she was. She could agree on most of those little "characteristics" but a little munchkin wasn't going to be able to left alone. She puffed her cheeks in anger before flailing her arms vertically in front of him slightly bending over and having her face turn slightly red. Quick kicking off into a spiral staying in her physical position she let out a powerful lunging kick that once connected to the mans stomach, he flew backward, dropping the log onto the ground with a large thud and was sent into a large pile of crates crashing into them and having some of them fall over and onto him.

"Hmpf! Its Blondie.......pft..munchkin.....your the munchkin.."

Throwing a hissy fit she threw her body to the side, turning away from the accident with her arms crossing once more and her cheeks still puffed in annoyance before storming off in the opposite direction.

The Ashen Pirates had slowly drifted down the merchant canal and into the cities port where the ship drifted to a stop and slowly bumped against the docking. No-one had yet tied it up as they were all distracted by Axis pouring over a piece of paper on the deck.

Pointing to a specific point on the piece of paper Axis finishes his conversation with the crew.

"...and that there is how we will move; who needs a sails when you can move faster without them."

Axis rolled up the paper, stood up, and tucked it away into his pockets.

"Ah looks like we're here. If it's anything like that man told you Frost we should be able to find some skilled shipwrights here to make us a ship out of that fancy metal. I'd like to get my hands on some of it as well."

Frost merely nodded in response to Axis as he made a hand gesture and 2 of the insignificant crew members jumped off and tied the boat to the docks. Slowly Frost stood up from his sitting position.

"It is a sound plan. Though this island intrigues me and I think it will be good to have a gander. Do we want to split up or stay together?"

Shinobu was sat next to a barrel fiddling with something in her hands, her face radiating concerntration. Nova sat on top of the barrel and watched, perplexed, trying to figure out what she was doing. When the ship was docked Shinobu stood up, taking Nova's legs with her and tipping her off the barrel.

"What are you doing Bunny?"

"Nothing! You pushed me!"

"Sorry, I tripped."

"No you didn't!"

Shinbou tried to give her tripping angle credit by taking a step forward and throwing herself to the ground, which already had Nova on it. She landed with a soft thud and a squeaking sound.

"I didn't know rabbits squeaked." she said, staying limp on top of Nova to make sure her tripping was believable.

"They... don't... now... get... off me!"

Nova pushed Shinobu aside and coughed and massaged her ribs to work more air into her body.

Shinobu rolled over onto her back and looked at the sky.

"Feel free to have a look, I'll sort the ship out."

With that Axis proceeds to leave the ship and walk around the docks looking for anything that stood out to him. If shipwrights were anything like inventors they would like to showcase their skill in order to attract customers. And then he saw it, a large intricately carved warehouse stationed at the middle of the docks and having seemed to have claimed the largest amount of dock space.

Without a second guess Axis took off towards the warehouse and strode in as if he owned the place.

"I got a very specific build order for a very skilled builder."

Everything seems to go silent as all work is halted to look at the strange newcomer. A full minute passes before work resumes and an old balding man with a flowing white beard approaches him, wiping his hands on his breeches as he goes.

"Ay? And what be so special about it?"

Axis walks over to a nearby barrel and brushes off the planks on top of it and lays out the blueprint he had being showing his crew earlier. He explains everything to do the man in fine detail, making sure not to skip anything.

"So can you do it?"

"Ay. But where's the mast? A ship is no good without a mast."

"I'll take care of that, you just build the ship. Oh and make sure to use that blood steel."

"Oh ho ho ho blood steel laddy, you better have the beli to pay for this.

"Don't worry about the beli, build the ship and you'll have your pay."

"Under normal circumstances we'd demand the pay upfront, but with a ship without a mast you won't be going anywhere."

Axis simply smiled and the builder took the blueprints and rolled them up.

"Names Doug Farra, the founder of the sawtooth shipwrights."

And with that sort introduction Doug turned away and started shouting, gathering his crew to start the build.

Frost merely nodded as he too ventured off the boat, his new cloud-fox companion Snough tripping him up as it followed him, Frost needing to preserve his pride in front of his men.

"Guegh!...how clumsy of me- I mean I need new boots!"

Frost made a gesture to the animal.

"Side."

The critter seemed partially trained already as it seemed to understand what its master wanted, but didn't know exactly what to do and instead scampered onto his shoulders, nestling itself in the fur of Frost's coat around his neck.

"Suno!"

Good enough.

"Well I'm going to take a look around, perhaps I can find a mount, the island is quite large after all."

And with that Frost set out to find some sort of temporary mount to make his journey simpler, his crew staying behind on the ship.

This is ridiculous, I am sweating my arm-pits dry here!
Get a movin, stinking whale-rats!

A Caravan of rag-tag looking troublemakers was making its way up a steep hill covered entirely in steamy jungle, the men carrying giant bags on their backs were complaining loudly as they suffered their way up to slope, trying to avoid the deadly fauna as best as they could while the sun slowly drained them of life.

At the front of the caravan marched two big brute looking fellas who were dragging a wheeled cart loaded with explosives which again were carrying a man who were currently resting over the dangerous inventory, a huge black sombrero stopped all sunlight from reaching him as he created his own little blackhole in the midst of the sweltering heat. One of the brute looking guys asked the man a series of questions which most went unanswered

"Dis sure to go right boss?
"Wez been walkin for bout three hours, ain't seen nuthing but jungle squarrerls and copachinos.
"When a're we gonna find dat cave of youz?

The man with the sombrero lazily held his right hand up to the brutes face while the rest of his body did't bother to move at all, perfectly laying still as he formed a fist with two outstretched fingers.

"Urr.. 2 minutes?

The fingers wiggled back and forth in a no-no manner, at this point everyone in the caravan was listening in as best they could.

"20 minutes..?

He asked hopefully as a dumb smile started to form on his face, then his fingers wiggled again, and if the jungle wasn't noisy enough from before, it sure got noisy now.

Shinobu and Nova left the ship, docked, and went into town looking for things to do, I mean steal. Nothing but specialist tools and scrap metal were visible. Nova picked up the first tool she could get her hands on, but only because it felt wrong not to steal when things were so carelessly placed. She didn't want or need it but Shinobu was interested in it. A disheveled old man appeared out in the street in front.

"Does anyone have an awl!?" he shouted.

Nova was about to duck away to avoid the situation when Shinbou shouted back.

"What's an awl?"

The old man spotted the tool Nova was holding.

"Ah! You have one, brilliant!"

He began a spindly wheeze and bounce over to get the awl. Shinobu turned to Nova who was pulling a sour face.

"Bunny, what's an awl?"

"I don't know. But apparently he thinks this is an awl."

Nova throws the tool to Shinobu and slinks back to avoid being in the spotlight.

To find a stable with horses to hire Frost had to ask a few people he came across in the town. Whenever he did the people also openly shared information about the happenings around the volcano. This intrigued Frost so much that he even then began actively asking about it and leads, luckily a lead and the stable-master were the same person.

Frost approached the man as he was tending a large black horse.

"Excuse me tradesman, I've been told that you hire horses out for those looking to travel the island. Is this true?"

The older man looked up at him as if tired of seeing adventurers such as himself.

"That's right young'n, but only adventure'n, non' of this saviour of the weak crap that by the looks of you ya fancy."

Frost's eyes set on the man's, piercing into their depths. It was unsettling to look into Frost's eyes and the man became nervous.

"I am following leads, people said I should talk to you about the problem and that you would support me."

The man looked down retreating from Frost's gaze.
"Talk, aye. But I'm not helping you sorts out any more, I hire horses and although i get paid up front I still lose money when both man and rider don't return and are found as noth'n but bones the next day. I have lost count of how many people come asking, but only 2 have come back alive. Wounded but alive."

Frost looked amused.

"It must not be such a dastardly foe if it lets its quarry escape once the walk into its maw. Where do you suppose I could find such people?"

The old man looked shocked, but also doubtful at Frost's boasts.

"Do what you want, maybe you might get lucky and kill whatever it is for us, just don't do it with my horses. You can get one from O'Reilly."

"You didn't answer my question, but I will heed your wisdom."

"That's gracious of you, but I'm afraid I did...of a sort. The people who escaped are gone now, one died of a sickness he sustained and the other left port days ago."

"Than who's this O'Reilly character?"

"Patience, I was getting to that."

Frost gave a bow of apology for the man to continue.

"He's the inn-keep at the Fluffy Duck Tavern."

"Fluffy...duck tavern?"

"Aye...Just go to the centre of town and then go west and you will see it."

Frost noted the directions.

"Thank-you. For your past and current assistance."

Frost offered a hand and the man took it, feeling 2 heavy round objects get passed to his palm.

"No worries, he also has some horses that he gives to aid the cause now that I'm not, you should have luck finding a mount there."

Frost nodded and left the man.

As the man looked down the path where Frost was walking away he had high hopes. Then his eyes fell to his palm where 2 thick gold coins of unknown origin were lain and bit into one. Marks coming away to prove they were pure and he ran three steps before hollering to Frost's back.

"Thank-you...er..."

Frost kept moving and waved a hand shouting loud enough for the man to hear,

"It is of no import, but if you are still curious check the papers!"

And so the man would.

Axis had simply been sitting around the shop watching Doug's crew when he suddenly got an idea. Before the idea vanished from his mind he traced his finger through the saw dust on the ground in a rough blue print of what he had thought of.

"Hey Doug! Mind if I borrow some extra bloodsteel? I'll pay you for it with the rest of the ship."

"Ay as long as you pay; Will! Show the lad to the storage room!"

As Doug had asked Will, a scruffy looking teenager, came over and directed Axis to where they store the bloodsteel.

"Thanks"

Axis entered the store room, gather what he needed and set to work turning his idea into a reality.

-Reserved Post for NPC Character: Yume "White Siren" Yoshiko-
(OOC: Just a note: Your character will be completely mesmerized by her enchanting voice if you happen to hear her sing. This is very dangerous. She is also much stronger than everybody on this island. Please be at guard, but also feel free to greet her~!)

"The flowers wither and freeze

As I walk this lonely path ..."

She sings.

As a brightly pale girl with mesmerizing beauty frolics around, part of the island begins to snow. Beautiful snow. Soft, beautiful snow out of a fairy-tale. Snow too pure to be meant for this world.

Snowflakes gently drift and dance about. The sight could be only described as the start of winter. The animals of the island feel a chilly sensation along with a tender texture that soothes their very bodies. They do not move away, as they themselves have been captivated by its beauty.

Chilly and dangerous ... The essence of beauty had reconstructed the landscape itself.

Without a single smile, Yume Yoshiko continues to walk alone.

Mio was walking through the somewhat crowded streets filled with both merchants and pedestrians, but her a lowly pirate walking around without a crew to her name nor a bounty on her head she was utterly confused in her position of what to do. She walked closest to the buildings just incase she would need to a quick escape crashing through one of the homes or shops before her and rush through to safety if she were ever to be overpowered by another. Crossing her arms under her chest, while puffing her cheeks helplessly deep in thought of what to do now, there wasn't a how-to on becoming a pirate and she didn't think that as of now she can be brought down by any of the mysterious islanders might come out and beat her down only to do horrible things to her, just the thought made her spine shutter in fear. Coming onto a fork in the street she dicided to just keep walking straight not having to think more then she already was especially to what the path she took withheld seeing as she won't know till she meets it.

"Hrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I haven't heard nor seen a pirate since I've got here! Whats with these little scaredy cats! I thought they'd be all like loud and obnoxious and stuff!"

She shouted to her self flailing her arms around as a anger mark rose onto her forehead in annoyance as she continued to walk. The people that walked by only stared in curiousness to find out what the hell she was talking about, wondering who in the world would want to "find" pirates by choice. Was she a marine or a bounty hunter? Those who obvious no knowledge of her wouldn't know and therefore only left rumors in their minds.

She looked toward the sky placing her forefinger onto her pink lips as she went back into thought, thinking of where to start next and taking a more forceful approach at finding her fellow sea men and hopefully actually find a fellow pirate to walk beside and call them a fellow crew member that and she needed a way to get off this island. Along with that, she didn't know if this island was worth anything, she was here all this time and she doesn't know anything about this island and if any pirate would even search this place for anything let alone be here. She shrugged at the thought trying to look more on the good side of things before feeling a sudden gentle yet refreshing touch of snow falling onto her cheek, sliding her hand on her cheek her eyes widened a bit at the sight of it. Snow....on a island with a volcano.....she's never heard something like that before. She continued to walk as she noticed less and less people were around the area as there were before.

"Hrm thats not a good sign..."

She said to herself, walking oh so more carefully then before keeping her eyes open to make sure that she wasn't taken by surprise. Before she cut a corner she noticed a sole wanderer walking through the streets of the people holding themselves tightly from the sheer cold that was brought upon them. Even Mio who wore such thin clothing was getting chills down her spine from the air but clashed with the warmth from the sun along with the heat created from the volcano gave it a more calm and even feeling about the two more like an even temperature to just lay out in the sun not to cold and yet not to hot. Though the female herself was quite the sight to see, young and petite with a gentle sense to her that seemed all to unreal, it even made Mio second guess herself, thought not being all to worried about her outer appearance. Though her curiousness for the girl was more then she could handle already finding herself walking toward her.

"Hey! Excuse me Yuki-Chan!"

She shouted in reference to her snow white hair, waving her hand above her head.

"Excuse me but do you know what's up with this island, I've just arrived and I don't really know the history of it."

Mio asked in a soft and polite tone hoping that she'd do the same.

Frost was just outside the Fluffy Duck Tavern as it began to snow. He didn't think it was odd in the slightest even though the island was a tropical one. His home land was sectioned into 4 different climates which in its own right was bizarre, but not to him. Besides this was the 'new world' where he had witnessed lightning rain. Anything could happen.

He forced his eyes from the sky, a sense of comfort filling him as he felt the chill of Winter through his thick coat once more. How long had it been since he had last experienced the wonders of Winter snows and cold? Without realising it he started to hum a tune of his people:

When he entered the the tavern people stared at him, some in awe, others in confusion at the solemn humming. At this moment Frost realised what he was doing and stopped, though the tune still ran through his head.

"Excuse me, I am looking for a man that goes by the name O'Reilly. Can anyone point me in his direction?"

A man descending the steps came as a rough reply to Frost.

"Aye, that be me."

Frost gave the man a short bow.

"My pleasure, I'm-"

"I know who you are."

The innkeeper cut him off, pointing to some posters behind the bar.

"You're Xerrida Frostborn, the obsidian king, wanted dead or alive for 70 million berri, the obsidian king you call yourself right?"

Frost looked at the man with cool piercing eyes.

"Xerridah Frhostborn. Your pronunciation's off, and the marines call me the obsidian king, I am merely a princeling. Also, read the poster again, I'm wanted alive for questioning, not dead, for ease of your tongue, you may call me Frost."

O'Reilly shivered when Frost's eyes set on him and spoke to him, each word sounding like poetry. However Frost wasn't worried about the innkeeper, he was worried about the dozen or so bounty hunters, if they even were, that stood up in the drinking room.

"My my, people today are hasty, patience and silence is a virtue. I only came here for information on the beast in the caves around the volcano and a good mount."

O'Reilly: "Then consider this a test, if you can't beat these guys there's no point in me lending you a mount or giving you the means to kill yourself, robbing one of us of 70 million!"

There was a quiver in the man's voice, but his words were echoed by low 'ayes' from the people in the tavern.

"Agreed. This is customary among my people, I didn't realise you practised it as well. We fight as the challenge stands in my country, I will assume it is the same here as these men seem willing."

Frost drew his sword and the lighting in the inn seemed to dull as the sword began to darken, absorbing light, giving off a wicked iridescent glimmer as the white snowflakes on the blade seemed blinding. From his left gauntlet a shield of ice came forth from a dial and Frost assumed a battle stance, ready to fight his piercing gaze hovering around the room.

"Come at me if you dare."

While she was peacefully walking alongside the drifting snow, Yume hears a voice. This was quite the strange event – People tend to stay away from her, despite her beauty, because the temperature around her in comparison to that of the region is significantly colder.

Mio: “Excuse me Yuki-Chan! Excuse me but do you know what’s up with this island, I’ve just arrived and I don’t really know the history of it.”

Yume turns her head to face the rather beautiful Mio. Though normally cold and aloof, Yume felt a strange sensation: She wanted to tease the enticing Mio before her. Walking up to her, Yume glares at Mio rather apathetically – It was the standard way that Yume would greet others. She plucks out one of Mio’s golden strands of hair at an incredible speed.

Staring at the strand, Yume ever-so gently blows on it. A frosty but rejuvenating breeze passes by the strand of hair, quickly causing snow to thicken around it. In a matter of seconds, Yume held onto a perfectly white, snow flower. She hands the flower to Mio while correcting her from earlier.

“Yume. Yume Yoshiko.”

Even though she had not sang, the close sensation of her voice causes Mio to be slightly mesmerized. It wasn’t simply enchanting to hear – it was seductive. Yume does live up to her epithet, “White Siren” after all.

Being in close proximity to the heated volcano, Yume herself feels slightly uncomfortable. She tenderly grabs Mio’s hand and begins to run away from the volcano. Though it was a soft grab, she wouldn’t be hesitant to strengthen her hold and prevent her from letting go. After all, she had found herself a new, delightful toy to play with.

The old man commandeered Shinobu and the awl, forcing Nova along. He was an inventor, he said, working on a way to harvest the lava from the volcano and to use its heat as a power source. He sounded crazy to Nova, technical terms spewed every sentence. But Shinbou was enraptured. This was the first time she had met someone outside the laboratory who thought this way, it was nostalgic. The man brought them back to a shabby house, filled with various metal scraps and unfinished projects, a tinker's workshop. He finished up what he needed to do while Shinbou watched on, eager and Nova looked for anything valuable in the scrap heap, but found nothing even familiar.

"What are you going to do with that?" Shinbou asked. The old man looked up from his inventing, his eyes gleaming, nobody asked, they never asked, but she had.

"Well, I am going to fill this with lava when it's finished. Then, if it works, I will be able to use it as a portable source of heat. Look, over here is something else I invented," they shuffled over together, Nova starting to look interested, "This thing runs on steam, it takes the heat from the steam and spins. But that's not the best part. When it spins, it powers this little guy over here and BOOM!"

Shinobu and Nova both jumped.

"Lighting."

"Lightning?" Nova asked.

"Lighting. It creates lightning."

"Can we see it?" Shinobu said.

"Well.... this is all in theory you see."

"So it doesn't work?"

"No! In theory it works. I just haven't perfected it yet."

"So it doesn't work."

"Yet." he added.

Shinobu went over to the supposed lava capsule.

"Is this finished?"

"That version is, yes."

"May I?"

"Go ahead."

Shinbou picked up the capsule and held it out in front of her with her metal hand. She tapped into her heat and pumped it into her palm to sear the capsule, which turned a bright cherry red, but did not melt.

"It works."

The man was gaping.

"IT WORKS! Wait. How did you do that? Is it the arm? I wasn't going to ask. But it's the arm. Isn't it? Wait. IT WORKS!" he threw his hands into the air and grabbed Nova, being the closest huggable object and kissed her on the cheek. After that Nova promptly popped out of the embrace and bounced away to a safer corner of the room, wiping her cheek.

Shinobu hesitated to put the heated metal down, not knowing if it would burn anything.

"Can you do it again?" the man asked.

"I will need some food first."

"Of course!"

"And can you teach me how this works? I want to know."

The old tinkerer almost exploded on the spot, but only began frothing at the mouth, which was wiped away with his oiled sleeve.

"It would be my pleasure." he said with a toothy yellow grin.

Axis had spent the majority of the morning locked away in the supply closet tinkering with gods no what when he finally emerged holding two cylindrical looking gauntlets. He grabbed a piece of wire and tied the two together and slung them over his shoulder.

"Hey Doug! Can I start my part on the ship?"

"Ay go ahead but don't get in the way of my workers."

Lucky for Axis and his crew Doug and his workers already had a mostly completed ship waiting to be finished and bought, all that would need to be done is the modifications that Axis had layed out in his blueprints.

Axis walked over to the ship in question; inspecting every fine detail.

"It's coming along nicely."

"Of course it is youngen, me and my boys don't screw around when it comes to ships."

Axis simply nods and smiles as he climbs up the ship and down into the bowls of it and begins to get to work on his part of the master plan he had conspired for their ship.

"Hey guys! Take it outside!"

It was too late for the innkeepers plea as the bounty hunters were already on their way to attack Frost.

There intent to kill was evident and unhidden allowing Frost's 'god-sight' (haki) to become more prominent. The bounty hunter's positions were clearer to him and whenever they went for a blow they intended to be fatal he saw it coming.

The first lot of hunters to come at him came from the side of the room, 3 of them, 1 with a spear, another with a cutlass and the last with a katana. The spear reach Frost first due to its reach, the 3 were amateurs their attacks uncoordinated. He sidestepped dodging the spear pulling on the shaft of it whilst still holding his sword catching the hunter off balance, taking a step forward he was then positioned behind the man and in line with the other two.

He delivered a blow to the base of the spear user's neck with the butt of his sword. The dial activated, shattering the bones in the man's neck and killing him. The other 2 were off guard but resumed their attack, a sword was thrust towards him, a flash - it was intended to kill - which he blocked with his shield, the blow skated over the shield sliding slickly off putting the hunter off balance. Another flash - an attack from the side intending to kill - Frost repositioned his shield to block the attack, the whirring of his dials going for a second before he released the pressure just to increase the force enough to knock the man back a few meters. As he bashed him with the shield he brought his blade up and stabbing the first man through the stomach with his sword, swiping it sideways leaving him cut half-way in half at the same time.

The second man's body fell to the floor lifeless. Another flash - gunshot from behind intending to kill - and before the shot was even fired Frost turned and brought his blade up to deflect the bullet, a shot fired and then ricocheted off his sword and into the 3rd member of the trio. The shot was non fatal so Frost crushed the man's skull with his shield.

3 dead. 11 to go. Next target: the marksman.
Frost ran at the man, a loud whirring humming through the air, the man shot in panic and the bullet hit the shield, bounding off of it and landing harmlessly elsewhere. Then a thrust too fast for the eyes of anyone in the room to trace. Frost's sword had went right through the rifle, piercing into the man's skull. Frost kicked the corpse from his blade and turned as a hammer came down upon his shield cracks appearing in the ice and the hammer bouncing off with recoil. Frost took the chance and his sword bit into the side of the man, enough to kill him as he sawed the sword out from his abdomen, flicking the blood off his sword and onto the floor in a fluid motion.

A flash -sword from behind aiming for the neck- Frost swivelled arround, parrying the incoming blade knocking it upwards with his own sword, then bringing it down swiftly to amputate his arm, and again bringing the blade across to do the same to the man's legs in a swift motion. The man collapsed on the floor. He would live.

The room seemed to pause at the scene as Frost looked into the man's eyes, maintaining the gaze as if trying to see into the man's heart.

"It is not mercy to let a man survive in battle left a cripple to become a burden to others. To the blissful sleep."

Frost lifted his foot and ended the man's life with a crunching thud of his boot, ribs crunching and impaling the dying man's heart as he coughed and spluttered blood. He would die soon.

"You can enjoy life a little longer."

Frost turned to face the others in the room. The floor soaked in blood, none of it his. The pirate's face was almost serene with 6 men laying dead after a couple minutes. 8 still standing in the room.

"Come, I need to prove myself and you are my trial."

"Ah god dangit he's past ye durn trial. To prove it 6 relatively good men, no not good... slightly more moral than normal bandits."

Willy puts his beer down on the table

"Just give him his horse O'Reilly; I'll bring it back fer ye."

Finally Willy stands up and walked over to Frost. He stands at almost the same height though his hair is grey and spiking at odd angles though the most prominent thing about him is the empty left eye socket.

"Names One-Eyed Willy, you're gunna be needin a guide to go up in those yonder mountains; i'll take ya."

and for O'Reilly's benefit he added

"And if you die I'll bring yer horse back. So off you go I'm sure O'reilly 'as got our horses roound front already."

Sure enough as soon as they were outside a stable hand had brought two horses around.

Stable hand: "O'reilly's personal horses, he wishes for a swift return."

Willy: "Aye he'll get em when 'e gets em. Now jump on Frost we got a ways to go to find that monster of yers"

Without waiting Willy clambers onto his horse and sets off at a trot waiting for Frost to catch up.

By the time the explaination was over Nova had been asleep for half an hour and Shinobu had drawn half a dozen rough sketches, but the old man still looked as lively as when they had started. The heat was a different matter. He was starting to sweat, but that was irrelevant. Shinobu was starting to steam. Wisps of clear water vapour rose from her body, covered in a reflective film of sweat.

"I think that's enough for now," he said "Why don't you girls take a bath while I make some preparations. There is a natural hot spring behind that door, dug it out of the rocks myself."

Hot spring?

Shinobu went to wake up Nova and ask what a hot spring was.

"No! He'll peek in on us while we're naked. It's a trap." Nova whispered, eyeing the old man like he was part of a government conspiracy.

The tinkerer had long since forgotten them and was toiling away at his desk once more.

"I don't think he's interested." Shinobu said.

"That's how they trick you. As soon as we leave he'll be spying on us."

"Interesting theory. We need to test this."

Shinobu took her top off, revealing that she did not wear a bra. Not that it looked like she needed one. Nova was miming furiously to put her clothes back on before he noticed, trying to avoid alerting him with noise. Shinobu and the tinkerer both seemed unfazed.

"Could we borrow some towels?" Shinobu asked.

"Oh yes, towels. They should be inside. If not, this cupboard here." he said without looking up, not even to point at the cupboard.
Nova resisted the urge to scream and followed Shinobu through the door and into the small earthen pocket of hot springs. There was one large pool and rough flattened plateau with a single wooden stool and an small bowl.

The two girls sat in the hot spring together for too long, neither suggesting they get out. The tinkerer was the one to interrupt them in the end. He burst in through the door exclaiming.

"It's ready! I can finally test my theo-"

Shinobu stood up in the hot spring and was clapping at the news. This caused the old man's blood pressure to sky rocket and overload a capillary in his nose which burst in a spray of scarlet over his clothes.

"Pervert!" Nova screeched as she cursed Shinobu's 'towels are for drying' policy.

As the man's words were fully comprehended by Frost he cleaned his sword and sheathed it, his shield being absorbed into his gauntlet once more. He nodded to the man, swivelled and bowed slightly to O'Reilly.

O'Reilly didn't seem too enthused about the idea still, but his eyes reflected his hope that the terror may finally come to an end. Though one could easily predict that he was just giving the man his horses to stop the bloodshed in the tavern. As soon as Frost rose he nodded to those remaining in the room and followed in the wake of One-Eyed Willy.

A young man came out from the stables with 2 horses in tow, handing one to One-eye and the other to Frost. Willy took off without hesitation, Frost bowing his thanks to the lad. Frost launched himself up onto his mount with practised finesse and quickly caught up to One-eyed Willy. It was evident he had ridden before and was quite skilled at that.

When everyone was rested and clean and dressed they gathered again in the hot springs. The tinkerer brought out his inventions and connected them with wires and cables and proclaimed them to be ready. Shinobu took charge and heated up the capsule and started the chain reaction, the other machines started spinning and an electrical charge built up at the end.

There wasn't any lightning, but the air grew heavy and crackled, the static field dampening the surroundings. Shinobu felt her metal arm tingle, which was strange. It wasn't connected to any nerves, she shouldn't have been able to feel anything. She moved her hands together but before they could touch there was a shock of electricity spark in between, making her pull back her human hand and wince.

"It works!" the tinkerer cried, tears streaming down his face.

"That was hardly lighting." Nova noted.

"Touch my arm Nova."

"No."

"But if it isn't lightning, it can't hurt you. Touch my arm."

Shinobu moved over to place a hand on her shoulder, but Nova bounced away.

"I am not touching that, I saw you flinch."

"Surprise."

"No means no."

"No. Surprise!"

Shinbou lunged forward to clasp her hand onto Nova, who screamed.

"Alright, you've had your fun girls. Now can you help me pack everything up, we need to get a real lava sample now."

Quietly sidling towards Nova, Shinobu questioned him.

"How do we get lava?"

"Please don't say you want to go into the volcano..." Nova moaned, keeping a safe distance from the metal arm of lightning.

"Not into it, well, kind of. I have a secret way in."

The girls followed him to the back of the hot springs where he revealed a cavernous hole in the rock, it lead to a natural cave, he said. They had to trust him on that, or distrust him, because there wasn't any light past the entrance.

"I wonder if there is any treasure inside ..." Nova mumbled to herself.

Shinbou stepped inside the darkness and heated her body to glow a dull orange, illuminating almost a meter around her.

"I like it." she said with a smile.

During their travel Willy decided to regale Frost with a story.

"I'll get to that but first I assume you wish to know exactly who I am. For see, I am one of the once great sawtooth pirates (he wasn't), the founders of this island. Now as most people know this island was set up by them but only became a proper civilian town after the Sawtooth Pirates mysteriously disappeared. "

Willy clears his throat

"HOWEVER! They did not mysteriously disappear, they were wiped out. By what? No-one knows but Old One-eyed Willy knows. Aye, I know. They was not wiped out, well some of them might ave been but ol' Bloodbeard was not that weak. For see he has eaten a devil fruit that gave him monstrous power; the saw-saw fruit. His teeth became razor sharped and whirred inside his maw (like a chainsaw) allowing him to bite throw anything; though not ingest it mind you."

Short of breath Willy remains silent for a while

"Everyone claims these attacks, for they are attacks, are wild animals; beasts rising up from the caverns within the mountains. But Willy knows, aye, t'is Bloodbeard and his saw teeth. Only he could make those wounds and only I, One-Eyed Willy would know for I am the sole survivor, bar Bloodbeard of course, of the sawtooth pirates! (Once again, not a pirate)"

Willy's tale entertained, well not entertained but passed the time, until they had reached the mountains, cave entrances littering the surface.

"This be where Bloodbeard resides, is where we find all the corpses. Well, atleast the ones we do find."

Willy looks around, sweat dropping from his brow.

"Phew it's hot. Would be best to dismount. We don't want to be surprised by Bloo.."

Willy's sentence was cut short as a blurred mass hurtles out of a nearby try and tackles Willy off his horse. Willy is kicking and screaming but the creature won't let go. As he stops moving you can get a good look at the creature that grabbed him.

There on the ground sitting on his haunches is Bloodbeard, Willy's entire shoulder and neck caught in his giant mouth. A sick crunch is heard as Blooodbeard takes the entire bite out of Willy and swallows before standing up. Though not really standing as he was hunched over feral like but even then he still stood taller than Frost (Fully upright he is twice the size of an average man) and was a grizzly sight with Willy's blood staining his scraggly long beard.

"RAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Bloodbeard leaps forward with astounding speed however he is not reaching out with any hands or weapons and instead has launched himself head first towards Frost, mouth gaping wide with teeth sawing back and forth.

The small girl spoke to her in one of the most unique voices she's ever heard within Mio's life, it was almost as if it was made by the heaven's to capture the sea man to cause them to head for the jagged shores of a island and cast them off to hell, like a siren so to speak. And Mio was entranced by it for a slight second before getting her hand tugged by the small girl and pulled away from where they stood. With her little act it suddenly brought Mio's focus back onto her main goal and that was to find a crew of her own and travel the seas along with them. Realizing this she pulls her hand away from the young girl without thinking before standing in place for a few seconds looking in every direction.

"I'm sorry Yume-Chan! I can't follow you. I have to find some Pirate's!"

Mio said in a stern voice, grabbed hold of both of Yume's hands before bringing her closer to Mio's face who's glasses began to slip down to the tip of her nose revealing her pinkish eyes from underneath. Mio began to feel more in need of finding a pirate crew, maybe it was because she's finally found someone to walk beside and what about this Yume girl, who was she exactly and where was she taking Mio. Maybe she's a pirate too and maybe she'd want to join Mio into making a crew instead. Many thoughts and ideas began to spring to life within Mio's head that she didn't know which one to take so she decided to ignore them all and start anew.

"Come with me! We're going......to be legends!"

She said confident and hopeful smile brimming onto her face as she pushed her glasses back up and stood straight once more taking hold of Yume's hand this time and dragging her toward the nearest tavern. The large sign above their head glowed in the sun light with the glare hitting their faces with the word "Fluffy Duck Tavern" right across the middle, Mio stood before the double door's of the entrance into the tavern with on hand on her hip and the other still attached to Yume who's probably all confused and curious simultaneously but Mio planned to show whats the plan. As she walked toward the door with her arm stretching out to turn the nob before pausing.

"Oh right. More Pirate like non lady like."

She took a step back before lifting her right leg up toward the door before launching to forward and impaling the door shooting into the Tavern itself and dropped within the tavern floor with a large thud and dust was thrown into the air before everyone within clouding their sight. As the dust began to start going down the image's of Mio and Yume within the middle of the room appeared from nowhere though obviously they just walked forward into the tavern. Atop of the door stood Mio with her hand on her hip and her chest puffed out to make her look more serious thought holding Yume's hand looked as though she was a little girl that needed to hold someone's hand. The tavern was silent without a word probably curious as to why they were here and the reason for knocking down the door instead of just opening and closing it but instead of asking they began to continue what they were doing before hearing the soft voice of the confident blonde women.

~Back in the Fluffy Duck Tavern~

"Argh! Not this again!" O'Reilly mumbled, looking to the centre of the room with bored eyes.

Surrounding the two girls was a pool of blood with bits of bandit everywhere. The remnants of the battle happening just minutes before staining the floor, walls and if one were to look up most likely the roof too.

"Pirates, pirates pirates! As you can see one tough bastard has just been here, though I suppose that was partially my fault..."

O'Reilly stared at the girls and though they didn't look as tough as the last fellow he didn't want to take his chances.

"If you didn't men on horses pass you on the way here then keep heading the way you were till you exit the village then head towards the mountains a bit off-set to the left from the centre and you might catch them. Going to kill a beastie he claimed."

O'Reilly turned around and took a wanted poster from behind him and slapped it onto the bench. (I labelled the bounty in a previous post.)

"This is the guy, 'The Obsidian King Xerridah Frhostborn'. He was with a one-eyed man."

Anyone in the room could tell that O'Reilly struggled with the pronunciation of the name, he had already mispronounced it once and blood was shed, and now he took it as a bad omen.

"Left a few minutes ago. If you find them dead, see if you can bring back my horses aye?"

O'Reilly added the last bit, not just for his profit's sake, but also to give the girls a sense of urgency to meet with the pirate.

~At the Mountain~

On the way to the mountain Frost was listening to the man's boasting but didn't pay it much heed, but when Bloodbeard came from nowhere and ate Ol' One-Eyed Willy needless to say Frost was a bit taken aback.
The horse he was on was well trained and at his nudging sidestepping Bloodbeard as he lunged. In a smooth motion Frost withdrew his sword and slashed to slice the base of the man's back as he flew past.

Frost's shield was already generated, the crack and any damage from the previous battle gone.

With grace not expected of a savage Bloodbeard moved mere inches to dodge the blow and landed with a crash on all fours; sliding as he spun back around to face Frost.

"Eat....them...allllll"

His voice was guttural and crackly like he had not spoken for years. Not letting a moment slip however Bloodbeard charged again this time however his hands were outreached to try and grapple with Frost; his jaw still stretched wide with his teeth buzzing back and forth.

Yume felt a strange sensation when the girl held onto both of her hands. Though she didn’t like the heat on most occasions … her hands felt hot. Very Very Hot.

Not only were Yume’s cheeks were cherry red, but she had also been quietly panting. Of course, as a devil fruit user, it would spell some trouble. Despite the vicinity of nearby volcano, Yume’s ability caused the sky to gradually snow as she released breathes of cool air into the atmosphere. Not caring what she was unintentionally doing, Yume firmly held onto Mio’s hand with supreme delight.

Luckily for her, the combination of her height and white bangs hid her expression from Mio. It would’ve been a sight to see!

As they approached the tavern, Yume was greeted was a nauseating odour. It was without a doubt, the stench of notorious pirates residing in the island. Naturally, they were second and third-rate pirates of obscene, vulgar, repulsive and loathsome quality. Yume could only abhor at their very appearance.

"We're looking for Pirates!", Mio had said.

The pirates scowled at the pair of glamorous women. Naturally, a number of trifling pirates who harboured “intentions” advanced to the entrance of the tavern.

“Pirates? You’ve got to me kidding me .. ! Women like you two should come and have a drink with us,” one of the approaching pirates had said. The room was overflowed in snickers and chuckles. Some even decided to intentionally block the entrance so that these “supposedly-helpless” women wouldn’t be able to leave.

This all happened with Yume, who glared back at the crowd in uttermost disgust.

“Disgusting …” Yume said. Her voice, bearing the same abilities as a siren, quickly prompted the pirates to swarm closer.

“Heh Heh … What’s wrong? Won’t you have a good ti-“
“Boss. Wait a second … Isn’t that the … t-the t-t-the 325 million Beli pirate, Yume ‘White Siren’ Yos-“

They didn’t even have a chance to react. A second was all Yume needed to whiff up a blizzard that stormed through the entire tavern! Every single person, with exception to both herself and Mio, were caught by the wind. Their bodies quickly froze from the snow that the blizzard pelted outwards. The entire tavern was soon completely wrecked from the inside out, with the pirates knocked out unconscious.

Standing close to Mio, Yume walked towards her. Without giving a second for Mio to reflect on what just happened, Yume tightly hugs Mio. Her delicate hands spread out between Mio’s back while her tender legs wrapped onto one of Mio’s legs. Her breasts were also leaning on Mio’s breasts.

“I don’t like this place. Can we go somewhere else?”, Yume blushingly says while holding onto Mio tightly.

-----Bloodbeard-----

Bloodbeard used his hands to knock away the thrashing hooves as he connected with the horse, teeth burrowing into the creatures belly as they saw through the meat and rip off a large chunk of flesh as Bloodbeard leaps backwards. Bloodbeard swallows the mush of raw horse meat and eaves his mouth hanging open as the fresh blood drenches his beard anew.

"They..ate..crew, so..I...ate....THEM!"

Bloodbeard opens his mouth wider as his front row of teeth bend and now point diagonally outwards. His teeth now at a weird angle but something is not quite right and as you look deeper into his mouth you see why. Instead of a single row of teeth like a normal human Bloodbeard's entire lower and upper jaw is filled with teeth, rows upon rows of teeth.

"Chaos Maw!"

Bloodbeard screams in a guttural voice as once again he dashes forwards and a cacophony of screeching is heard as his teeth begin to saw back and forth as rows rub against rows so tightly packed into his mouth that the emit a high pitched screeching sound. It is just not one screech however but multiple, a screech for every line that is rubbing against another and all the sounds are out of sync, truly chaos.

Unlike before with a head on charge This time it appears he is aiming to tackle Xerridah and devour him while he has him pinned down.

Xerridah leapt off his horse before its body collapsed lifelessly upon him, tucking into a roll before springing up once more.

"Them? Who ate your crew?"

Discussion seemed meaningless as Bloodbeard went to tackle Frost. A flash - The teeth would bore into him if tackled - but he already knew that. The screeching started and Frost took up the opportunity to charge his dials on both shield and sword, their whirring blending in with the chaotic sounds of battle.

Frost stood fast, shield in front and sword ready to strike as Bloodbeard came upon him. Even if he can see what Frost was going to do, he wasn't fast enough to dodge his dial-aided thrust, at the very least he could avoid his vitals from getting hit. But Frost already had a plan for that, he would use his flame dial to cover his sword and incinerate the savage from the inside.

The whirring high pitched screeches increase in volume as the sawing increases to its maximum speed as Bloodbeard reaches his head forward to bite into Frost's shoulder.

As soon as Bloodbeard went to catch his sword it burst into flame, igniting the man's arm.

"Flame of Dharios"

The dials on his sword activated, short quick whirring sounds as it kept getting boosts of strength and speed. A flash - teeth to the shoulder - Frost's dials on his shield activated, pushing the big man back and to the side a short distance with all the built up force from the dials. Frost would then proceed to attack with the flurry from his sword as he worked his way circling around Bloodbeard.

Bags were packed, packs were stuffed and the taste of metal was in the air. Shinobu gathered up her sketches, not blueprints, they were drawn in black ink. Nova entertained herself by exploring the workshop and looking for shiny things. When the expedition was ready to leave, things became complicated.

"I'm not going." Nova told them.

"Why not?" Shinobu asked.

"Because it is a stupid and dangerous idea."

"Ok then, will you be here when we get back?"

"You're still going?"

"Yes, why."

At this point the tinkerer intervened.

"I think what the young miss is trying not to say is that she would be lonely here. I won't have that problem, so please, stay up here with the little one."

Nova began ranting at being called little and the speculation of her intentions, or unintentions. But she was ignored.

"But, what about your invention?"

"Exactly, I need someone to watch the place while i'm gone." he said with a wink.

Shinobu understood his words and put her pack down to stay with Nova. But she did not notice or understand the wink.

"I was going to give you this when I tested the lava capsules, I little thank you for your help, but that won't be happening now."

He produced a small metal chest, flat and square and pushed it onto Shinobu until she took it.

"Huh?"

"You're supposed to say thank you." chimed Nova.

"Thank you." Shinobu replied, to Nova.

"Not me!"

The old tinkerer was laughing.

"You are bright girls, i'm sure you'll be fine. I'm heading out now."

"Bye" they said in unison.

Nova had come over to see what the box was and if it was valuable. Shinobu on the other hand put the box down and took out her sketches. She wanted to try making some of the things he had shown her, herself. Nova was left trying to figure out what the box was or if it did something, or nothing.

-----Bloodbeard-----

As Frost pushes Bloodbeard back he also leaps back doubling the distance gained. He swats his hand against his leg putting the fire out as he realizes he is missing a few digits, all 5 infact.

"GRAAAAAAAAAGH!"

Bloodbeard stands up straight, revealing his overly large size for the first time as he begins to inhale an extra large breath; his chest puffing out to an amazing size.

"Tooth Shooter!"

All the extra teeth inside Bloodbeard's mouth suddenly dislodge and become ammunition for his attack. His remaining teeth now acting like belts of a baseball launcher. Bloodbeard exhales with great forth spewing a single, high speed stream of razor sharp teeth towards Frost.

A flash - each individual tooth appeared before Frost before they came at him - his sword, still aflame, came up parrying most of the teeth, the whirring at his guard of his sword and the back of his shield getting louder and louder as he did so.

Once he had also gotten use to the pattern he started advancing once more, knocking the teeth so that they would fly back to Bloodbeard, though all fell harmlessly away from the man, though a couple fell near his feet. The closer Frost got, the more accurate the rebounding teeth became.

With their new found information Mio and Yume can continue within their little adventure through out Sawtooth Isle, their chase to find a pirate was getting closer and closer to the end. As their new objective was heading toward the mountains to find some pirates that apparently had taken a few of the taverns horses, which means that they've gotten a large head start so they'll need to be quick with an idea to be able to catch up. Maybe they can find a set of horses to ride too, or maybe shoot themselves up there. And what is this about a "beastie" is there some special monster to be slain? With the people within the tavern looking down on the to ladies, for their own reason of finding pirates, and Yume saying something under her breath and Mio couldn't hear what she said but it didn't seem to good.

"Hrm?"

She hummed, tilting her head in confusion with her finger on her lips before the other pirates began to speak once again, though this time it was more focused on Yume talking about her as if they've met her before. Maybe they were her friends, but their faces told her otherwise. As they were more scared then happy to see her, wiith a sudden blast of cold air flurrying within the same tavern they stood within, everything around both Mio and Yume was blasted outward with large amounts of snow and ice. Covering everyone that was within the tavern itself, along with blasting through the windows and doors pushing everyone near them backward into a cushion of snow. Though as Mio and Yume stood there in the center of what was happening and nothing occurred to them probably from being in the center of the storm, but who knew.

"Woah!"

As the the snow storm began to calm down, Yume suddenly jumped onto Mio hugging her tightly and pressing onto her roughly. Mio was oddly surprised at how close Yume was getting with Mio and they don't even know each other that very well. But Mio's glad that she was getting along with Yume or this would be very awkward or maybe the reason for Yume's kindness was cause Yume liked Mio in that way....Mio shook her head at the thought, before shimmying out of Yume's little hug.

"Alright then Yume. We have what we need so we should be heading out anyway, now we have to find a quick way to get to those mountains. Come on."

Grabbing Yume's hand tugging her toward the destroyed double doors onto the suddenly snow covered streets, looking around the trying to find the exit of the village. As she continued to walk forward the feeling beneath her feet, something not similar to the feeling of the soft snow. As she ignored it and continued to walk it felt more and more unusual, she jumps to the side, releasing her hand from Yume. She knelt over digging her hand into the snow shoveling it to the side to find a face under the snow and it seemed that this person was the thing she was stepping on.

"Ummm mister are you ok!?"

She asked in a curious tone poking at his cheek.

-----Bloodbeard-----

As with any smart predator Bloodbeard had noticed none of his attacks had had an effect and the second response in his savage mind had triggered. He had tried fight and now it was time for flight. Quite simply Bloodbeard turned heel and ran for the cave entrance in the side of the mountain that was not overly far away from their current location. If he made it into the warren of cave networks he would be away for good.

As soon as Bloodbeard started running Xerridah position his blade and ran in pace behind him.

"Phoenix..."

A whirring sound started, but not from sucking air in, but from expelling it in short jarring succession as Xerridah flurried his blade, the speed making it nothing but a blur of rainbow flame and then slashed. A horizontal constant string of fireballs came hurtling quickly towards Bloodbeard, appearing more like a wave of flame.

"Flame!"

If he were to keep running he would be immediately engulfed in the fire. If he took the time to duck Xerridah would stab him with his sword through the back and into his heart, burning him from the insides. If he jumped upwards Xerridah would cut his legs as he was landing so he couldn't run or move, followed by skewering him.

-----Bloodbeard-----

As the wall of flame approached him from behind Bloodbeard continued to scurry forward however he was not without plan. His jaw was slowly unhinging and his mouth opening wider and wider until it appeared as if his head had been split in half at the mouth; his face now looking like that of a burrower worm. He had spawned in hundred of teeth within his maw and all were spinning as he crouched low ready to spring his plan.

"Dust Eater!"

Bloodbeard dives headfirst into the ground; his newly modified mouth chewing through the earth as if it were melted butter. With ease he burrows deep into the earth away from the flames and away from Frost.

The man didn’t seem to get up, much to Yume’s pokes to his cheek. For some reason, Yume had a childish, pouting face when Mio directed her attention to the man. Maybe Mio would pay attention to Yume again if she were to wake up the man.

Yume walked forward to get a better look at him. Though he was male … he didn’t appear to be as disgusting, repulsive and vulgar as the “so-called pirates” they encountered in the tavern. She continued staring at him until she thought of the perfect idea!

Without delay, Yume’s hands turned into snow. Using her snowy hands, she then began to spin the man in circles. After she spun him for a few seconds, she moved her hands to the middle portion of his body to spin him again. After spinning him for a few more seconds, Yume walked back to get a better view of the man while wiping her forehead for her well-accomplished task.

With the exception of his head, the man had been encased in a snowman! Seeing as how his body temperature would drop immensely because he was shrouded by snow, Yume was sure that he would wake up soon. The sooner, the better – Mio belonged to her, after all.

"Ah-choo!"

Kegan awoke with a start as the snow began to melt from his body heat. Shivering he looked around.

"What's this!" he said shivering as the ice cold water began to seep through his cloths. He looked at the two women standing in front of him. One was a cute blond but he never had much patience for blonds; however, upon gazing into the eyes of the white haired girl his jaw dropped. With some effort he broke free of the snow and began to stripe his shirt. "Fair lady. Might I ask your name?" he asked somewhat awkwardly blushing as he wrung his shirt out onto the street.

A whirring began as Bloodbeard started burrowing downwards, and as Frost reached the hole he dug he released a stream of fireballs as he did before but this time as a vertical line using thrusts rather than a slash.

"Phoenix Flame!"

The tuneel filled with fire and Frost's 'god-sight' (observation haki) was in place, allowing him to know if Bloodbeard would survive the fire as it flooded the tunnel.

-----Bloodbeard-----

Bloodbeard had foreseen the coming wave of fire being poured down the hole and as a result had connected his tunnel into the nearest cave system in the warrens that littered the mountain. As a result the fire split directions many times and petered out without heavily damaging Bloodbeard. A few burns here and there but nothing life threatening.

Back in town with Axis

Doug: "Aye! We all finished out here lad!"

Axis was still inside the ship but unbeknownst to the builders he had finished his modifications a while ago and instead had been smuggling bloodsteel into the storage room of the ship; spare material for his inventions later on.

Axis climbed up and out of the ship and walked down to where Doug was and turned around looking at the masterpiece he had designed.

Doug: "Bloodsteel covered wood; just like you aasked. Mighty ingenius of you really. I still don't see how you'll get it to move and you'll still need people to load those cannons."

Axis smiles to himself.

"You'll see how she moves when we take her out."

Doug: "Aye, right after yer pay me. It's quite a hefty sum to."

"No need to worry, when the rest of my crew gets here you'll get the money."

Doug simply nodded and waved a signal to his crew to get them to start the process of transferring the boat from the workshop and into the water. It was a magnificent thing to watch.

Doug: "Now we wait fer ya crew."

Frost senses that Bloodbeard was still alive...and there was no way for him to get him out from underground.

"Warrens...damn it."

Frost walked over to where he had cut Bloodbeard's fingers off and deposited them in a small leather satchel, tying it shut with a crimson cord to indicate that the victim was still alive. A custom in his country.
He then moved to where the lifeless one-eyed Willy lay, petting the man's horse to sooth it.

"Easy girl...easy."

He melted some of the flesh around the man's wound to cease the bleeding again, he was already dead and it wasn't desecration, rather preservation of his body - a reminder of his sacrifice. after slinging the body onto the living horse rump he went over to the other horse. The flame on his blade now gone but the obsidian still burning hot, allowing for an easy cut through the horses neck.
He put the horse head in a separate bag and then burned what remained of the horse's body, pointing the blade of his sword down and bowing his head, his eyes getting watery.

"May Leviathi guide your ride into the Blissful Sleep."

After a moment of silence, Frost cleaned his sword then sheathed it, the shield resuming its place in its dial as he lightly saddled the horse and rode.

As Mio continued to poke at the mans face before Yume decided to have a turn trying to wake the man up from his slumber by transforming her own hand into snow. It looked like Mio could literally rip her hand easily if it were as soft as real snow but as Yume grabbed the man, Mio assumed that the snow was more like snow when it's pounded down and more sturdy. Along with this little trick she pulled Mio focused more on the snow itself and wondered if it was Yume that was the cause of the weather differences that was occurring around her along with what happened within the tavern as well. It seemed to be a strong skill and was glad that she was on Mio's side.

As she continued to watch Yume flail the man around in the air, Mio face followed the rapid movements making it look like she was going crazy as her face continued to move from left to right and up and down. When Yume was finally finished she had placed him within the body of a large snowman.

"Wow.....Didn't see that coming..."

She said with a bit of curiousness as to what Yume's intentions are when she hold such power. Turning her own attention back onto the snowman that began to shiver, obviously because of the man within unless the snowman turned real and moved started to break apart probably from the heat from the island and the man from within walked out of the snowman wet like a dog. He sneezed as he walked out probably having gotten a cold from the cold water that he was drowned in water.

"Oh hel..."

She began to speak before the man suddenly rushed toward to Yume, with his shirt lifting from his bare chest and squeezing the water out from his clothes. She assumed that he was into Yume from his quick actions and maybe this happens alot to Yume as well, though Mio shrugged at the thought as to what Yume has done before wasn't her business nor was the time to ask about it, as they still needed to find pirates, not some guy that flirts when you step on his face.

"Hrm how rude."

Mio decided to ignore the newly found man within the snow and continued to move toward the closest exit to which the man working at the tavern had infered that the pirates went in that direction. Striding off she hoped to see either them themselves or them riding those horses he spoke of, giving them a more better acknowledgement of who they were. Then again how many people rode their horses in that direction.

The result of waking up the man was the worst – Not only did he prey on Yume with his eyes, but he also distracted her while Mio was walking away. She was definitely a bit angry from this experience, and would surely punish Kegan for his nonsense.

“Yume Yoshiko. Pirate. Bounty: 325 Million.”

In attempt to shake the “dog” off his tail, Yume revealed her name in addition to her bounty. It was loud enough for both Kegan and Mio to hear. Since Yume herself was not sure whether Kegan would become more infatuated by the ability of her voice or frightened by the size of her bounty, she decided to do something else preceding this action. Immediately following her declaration, Yume opened her desirable, seductive lips and blew towards him. Some would have interpreted this as blowing a kiss; however things weren’t always as they appeared to be.

The cold air from her breath rushed towards Kegan. As it approached him at an increasingly fast pace, pelts of snow began to materialize. Before long, Kegan was hit by several pelts of snow that had instantaneous effects of chilling his skin. Even though he wasn’t as rude as the pirates of the tavern, Kegan had definitely punishment for flirting at the wrong time … with the wrong girl …

Seeing as how Kegan was covered in pelts of snow, Yume skips in circles before walking up to Mio. She clings to her shoulder ever-so-tightly with her arm, and off they left!

Standing there somewhat frozen he thought about what the woman had said. A person with that kind of bounty was way out of his league in every aspect. As if he wasn't cold enough already the snow added to it. Knowing that he would die he tried to move towards the fire across the room but his movements were highly restricted but noticing his dilemma the tavern keep walked over and dragged him to the fire.

"Crazy bastard. I always get people like you here." he huffed before walking over to try and clean up the mess that had been left behind. "Damn ruffians." he muttered grabbing a broom and began sweeping the snow towards that doorway. After several long minutes Kegan was finally able to move freely again; however, the cold was no friend of his and some of his body now suffered from frostbite.

"Oi, Grampa. Was that chick being serious about her bounty?" he asked removing his shoes to rest his feel directly next to the fire.

"Eh? Her? I'm honestly not sure. Here take a look yourself. I keep these just in case." he said before tossing a huge stack of bounty signs from the bar to ground next to Kegan.

Raising an eyebrow he leaned down and picked up the stack. Most of the people he did not recognize, but after looking through it he saw the big shots of the New World. There among them was the girls picture. He studied it for awhile then slipped it out of the stack. Laying it back on the ground he stared into the fire for the longest. After awhile of staring another group of people walked into the tavern. The bar keep could tell they weren't local just by glancing at them.

"Sorry we're closed for the day." he said before returning back to straightening the tavern.

"Oh? Is that so? Then why is this punk sitting here?" some small timer asked walking up to the chair that Kegan was resting in. The tavern keep merely shrugged.

"He is a special case. Now beat it before I call the marines." he spit moving back behind the counter. The pirate scowled at him.

"You need to learn a bit of respect old timer." he said before unsheathing a second rate sword from it's scabbard. "Teach him some manners boys."

"Leave." Kegan said from his spot in the chair.

"Leave? What did you say punk?" the pirate asked raising his sword. He intended to strike him as Kegan replied but he wasn't given enough time. In one swift motion Kegan seemingly glided forward gripping the red hot log pick and swung it around placing it squarely on his throat.

"The man said leave." was all Kegan said as he slide the hot metal through his wind pipe killing him instantly.

"CAPTAIN!?" They others screamed rushing forward but their screams were cut short as a gun blast resounded through the tavern.

"That is enough!?" the old keeper said. He carried a flustered look about him. The pirates knowing that they couldn't handle both Kegan and the gun pointed to their backs began to slowly walk away. Their faces spoke volumes to Kegan and he knew they were going to want revenge for their captain. This didn't bother him; however, the fact that the tavern keep was pointing the gun at him did. "You too. You've had plenty of time to recover from the witch. Now get your shit and be gone." Kegan's expression softens realizing the tavern keeper is scared. He is even shaking all over.

"Alright. Just make sure to blame this on me. I don't want you taking the wrap for it. Oh, you might want to pick up his bounty as well. It seems he was rather popular." With that he left leaving the tavern keep alone. It wouldn't be a couple of days later that he would collect the 10 million prize for the pirates head.

The trees past by in a blur as Frost galloped back towards the Fluffy Duck Tavern to return the horse and give a recount of what had occurred. His face grave and his eyes piercing through the mist created by the conflicting heat of the island and the coolness of the unnatural snow fall up ahead, humming the same song from before.

Two women came into his sight as he adjusted his speed from a fast gallop to a canter his humming fading out and his mount slowing down steadily until he stopped side-on in front of Yume and Mio. Yume's white hair fascinating him and grasping his attention but it was still split with Mio as well. He thought it beautiful, yet his gaze still seemed to pierce through both of the girls.

It was his golden eyes, they always seemed to pierce into the soul of people, and with his snowflake-iridescent obsidian crown glittering in the snow-dawned light he looked truly regal. He shifted his cloak from his side to reveal his sword, it wasn't a threatening gesture but rather one to show that he was armed and didn't intend to hide the fact.

"I am Xerridah Frhostborn."

He nodded towards both ladies respectively, nodding lower to Yume than to Mio.

"Be wary, the killer escaped me, though he is maimed he still posses a threat."

Mio striding off was soon followed by Yume who quickly grabbed her arm, clinging to it tightly and walking closely beside her. What ever Yume was planning didn't seem to show through her actions as she seemed to like being close to Mio unless that was to be her plan before doing something shady, but then again if what she said was true she would have done so already especially with her kind of strength she could snap Mio like a twig. Or maybe she's just the type to show her kindness before being hurt by others where her true power lies behind, in her emotions and things that she's felt close to. Mio shrugged away the thought as they continued onward with their little mission of finding a pirate, Mio has already thought of what to ask and that is to join them until she's found her true desire to continue with them or go on her own and create her own crew to lead on besides her dream wasn't as easy.

"Alright, lets go find those horses and probably they'd lead to that pirate the tavern was talking about."

Mio said aloud so that Yume would be able to hear her, though it must of not been that hard seeing how close she was that it was a little hard to walk herself. Some of the villagers stared at the two as they strode into the direction outward of the village but none of them fearless enough to go talk to them but only give them stares and spoke under their breaths. Mio could only give a slight sigh at the position she was in as this isn't as what she's thought of what would happen in search of pirates, being left with no leads cling to by a women she doesn't know to much t about and who is probably older then herself. Though it was better then nothing, she was glad she's done more then just dying within that small raft she rode up upon though maybe her luck has just gotten better.

As a lone pedestrian rode into the village upon a horse, being it was the only horse she's see the whole walk there Mio just assumed that it was the one and went for it. As it began to slow its roll, the man shifted its coat revealing his blade, not sure if he was showing off or it was in the way she just ignored it and looked toward the man upon the stead. He spoke his name toward them both in a sense of honor probably or to just be polite, but Mio slightly tilted her head before thrusting her hand forward with her index finger striking at him.

"Your a pirate! And well I'd like it if I....uh we'd be able to join you and your crew!"

Without any hesitation Mio went straight to the point in what she wanted to say and what she wanted to happen though it was up to him to decided but was she going to give up if he refused, probably not.[/clear]
