I've wondered that quite a few times haha, but maybe because after meeting her all this crazy stuff started happening to Touma? I liked the episode, it's nice to see it focused on a different character (and Accelerator is awesome to boot). This is just a general question (nothing to do with the episode) how far do you guys think the anime will get into the light novels? I know it won't finish all 16 of them (its on 5 now) but I'm hoping it'll get maybe to 7 with a second season to continue it. (sorry for kind of derailing the thread). |

| anyone got annoyed of hearing 'misaka misaka' every 10 seconds or so? lol who knew accelerator could become like this. from the last time weve seen him, i wouldve thought he would be angry at touma and want to kill him. such an unsuspecting twist. | Misaka Misaka is sooo cute and Accelerator is awesome. It was funny he passed by Touma's apartment at the beginning and heard Index screaming. And the explanation of him reflecting UV rays causing his white hair actually made sense too. Overfiend said: I mean, I reaally do like the other chars, but why is this thing called To Aru Majutsu no INDEX again? The title doesn't necessarily refer to the totally moe character, Index. The title means A Certain Magical Index right? And Index, the character, is a carrier of 103,000 or whatever magical books. The title could very well refer to a particular part in the magical book that will become relevant to the story later. And no, I haven't read the novels, lol, so this is just my educated guess. :D |

| While each arc is interesting in their own right, the transition to each of them is just plain terrible. Two episodes we had Angel Fall, the last one was about some secret clone man and tsundere Misaka... and now this episode suddenly jumps to Accelerator. Is there even a general plot in this show anymore? |

 Loli MISAKA had me laughing throughout the entire first half, so hilarious! And then the second half finished in a flash. And now Accelerator is turning into a good guy lol. |

I men, I reaally do like the other chars, but why is this thing called To Aru Majutsu no INDEX again? Originally, the "To Aru Majutsu no Index" novels were supposed to end soon after Touma saved Index's memory lose (or at that point), but novels became so popular that the story was expanded, Index became less important while Misaka's and other characters became more important. Still, the name "To Aru Majutsu no Index" remained. |

| hehe accelerator arc.... we're only in book 5 of 17. It is clear that a second season is coming if everything goes well.... The latter story arcs looks really interesting (1 story arc per book). I anticipate Accelerator teaming up with Touma in one of them.... |

| aww, misaka was too cute. and i liked seeing accelerator as the anti-hero. he's more interesting than touma. this ep was still talky as hell, but the pacing seemed a lot better. or after 19 episodes of drawn out mediocrity, have my expectations just been lowered that much? |

By that point, Accelerator had already killed 10,000 other people. I'm pretty sure he was becoming a bit unhinged from the guilt and the constant battle. It's not really out of place for him to start making the murders more violent, or to attack Touma. As for the change itself, the loss of his god-like status has given him some time to reflect on things. He obviously still feels guilty, and still feels like it is his responsibility, so I don't see it as a complete 180. More like a 90 degree turn, which is justifiable in light of his circumstances. |
