| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Anyone watched this on TV? Great episode and liked it a lot. What I liked: Nobunaga's face in the beginning. Great detail. Nagasama/Oichi being visited by Sasuke. Kasuga being surprised by how Takeda-sama and Yukimura treat each other. Me guess she did not think it was like that. Me like Kasuga a lot datte (because) even if she is ecchi, I have lots of respect for Shinobis. Kasuga fleeing because Sasuke came in a instant. The battle and map explanations. Enjoyed those a lot in many other animes also. Alliance! Takeda and Kenshin! Beautiful and me liked it. Face off of Nagasama and Akechi. Akechi is such a strange deranged person. The boy who has Tadakatsu to serve him, he will be next episode and will be interesting to see his fight. Of course Masamune is sugoi! What I did not like Me liked a lot the alliance but is very bad camera angle. Why? DVD version better change that. Very bad camera angle.  Really did not like this. Nobunaga should have more respect for his family but he is a dark lord after all. |

| I lol'd at the mecha. I had to facepalm and rage at Ichi for being such a weak and defenseless woman even if she is faced with the choice of choosing her brother or husband. Times like these you just have to bitchslap someone. |

| I was bored. This was even more set up than I wanted/needed. My brain shuts off when people talk about "strategy." Mostly because nothing ever goes the way everyone plans them, but I did get my fill of Sasuke and Nobunaga, though I would have liked more Keiji. Yuukimura has gotten on my last nerve and this gag between him and Oyataka has become very old. Hopefully the action will be great in the next episode, since it really is the only really worthwhile thing. |

| this is why some say attachments make warriors weak. hehe to falter from your convictions just cause you like your wife...weak! weak! shell probably get killed in the end and it will all have been for naught. sasuke is actually quite the womanizer. hehe sehll fall for him before long just you watch. yukimura's voice is soooo annoying. i like the show overall so i can brush it aside. |

| Tadashi was good but gSS picked this up so going with them now as they are definitely fast. some good development here. The Demon King is pretty awesomely evil, manipulating the other factions like that. Date Masumune is my favorite though and I'm ready for his head on assault. |

| I actually like the pace of this episode. many interesting stuff and the characters are portrayed very well, just like what the narrator said nearing the end of the episode Nobunaga ways of talking is fucking awesome. "Ok, I will not invade" "You do it instead" Lolwut |

| Nagamasa-sama...! ;c Ichi is easily the most annoying and worthless character in the series right now (but oh well, I guess they needed some plot device) and I hope she will get killed soon so I don't have to endure this. Even worse than Kasuga although at least she's not wearing some ridiculously fanservice-y tits-out outfit. :// I get too worked up about stupid animu things, need to get a life. ~_~ |

Additionally, his success is not based on his own merits, but rather the fact that the opponents who could beat him always died from "illness" at very convenient times. Both Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin were undefeated by Nobunaga and his allies, dying shortly after achieving significant victoiries against him. Rather suspicious if you ask me . . . As a result of his reputation, Nobunaga is often depicted as evil, and even a demon, in Japanese anime, manga, and video games. You'll see the same thing in titles like Black Lion, Yotoden, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Kessen III, Samurai Warriors, Onimusha. Interestingly, he tends to get better treatment in live action dramas . . . And I'm loving the portrayal of the legendary Uesugi-Takeda rivalry here. Stylized though it may be, it's still one of my favorite historical rivalries, and they're certainly playing it up properly. |
| Even if the action is plain awesome and clearly the best thing about this show i'm glad there's so much more to it aswell. We got some character development, even involving Nobunaga and the people who surround him. The strategic view is great aswell, makes it so much more interesting and adds meaning to the battles along with their awesomeness. The animation is great too. I'm really enjoying this series so far. I am a little surprised by how fast a giant alliance was made though, you would think some more battle between these different armies would have happened first. Maybe the last few episodes will all be about Date and Yukimura. Guess we will see. |
