If they don't fix this I might even have to substract a point... which would only make it 9/10 :D my guess it's due to the show being under budgeted/under staffed. Artland is not a big, successful studio, so I'm guessing they didn't have a lot of backing for this. |

| I love the parallels to the first episode of the original series. The meeting in the forest, the mysterious transformative drink, even the old cup that brings it all together. At the same time, it's a good introduction to those who have never seen the original, explaining what the Mushi are and establishing the job of the Mushishi. All in all, a good first episode. |

| Welcome back, Ginko! I've missed you so much. ;_; A beautiful episode with a beautiful soundtrack. I started to cry when the OP began, haha. Lucy Rose's album "Like I Used To" will probably be all I listen to for the next few months. But what I really love about "Shiver" - and I haven't seen this mentioned in the thread yet - is that “Shiver” answers “The Sore Feet Song.” “I’ll walk ten thousand miles Ten thousand miles to see you” “And I shiver like I used to And I live here just for you And I shiver like I used to Just for you” ;_; |

| The first episode was about sake? A fitting way to start, can't help but feel it was paying homage to the first episode of season 1 as well. It felt like I was watching a genuine episode of Mushishi, so refreshingly calm and relaxing. The gathering of Mushishi was intriguing. My Friday nights are going to be bliss for the next 3 months. A bit of a shame it wasn't really a 45 minute episode, but as usual the pacing was excellent. |

| Finally watched episode 1. It felt like I never left the series. As if it never ended. It's a solid return. Still loving the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the somber tone, and Ginko. Also, that opening. Wonderful. Season 2 will be beautiful. |

| Doesn't even feel different from the previous series, it is simply the greatest anime series ever made, some would maybe say no but it's just in a class of it's own. |

| Opening song is nice. (^-^) Ah, that golden sake looks good! Seems that some mushi like sake too. Nice seeing Ginko again. :) Still has a good connection with Isaza, I see. -- Shoujounohige, a type of mushi that is only fond of Kouki. Then, that Rokusuke guy came very close to the original by using Suimitsutou, a yeast like mushi. Must be a great sake brewer! I'd like to try that, just to see the mushi. XD OST was great as always. Really glad this series resumed! |

This current OP fits well the overall style of Mushishi's OST, but I don't get the same feeling. Skipping it surely. Comparing this episode with the first season which was 9 years ago is a testament to how much effort (and budget) they put into this anime back then, the animation is impeccable and timeless. I'm just so glad when an animated show gets a proper treatment with almost no stops. Mushishi is one show I'll always support. |

| So amazing! I'm glad it was not 45 min, this lenght is a better fit for those bits that are mushishi's stories. Yeah, i didn't like the tv special very much. And don't know about the OP, probably will grow on me. |

| I didn't watch season 1 but I like to say that this episode felt more boring than mars of destruction. I don't if I missing something. Maybe it is not the right anime for me. |
