| Alan jumps up and down with Zaine at the thought of candy. "Too much sugar." Jackson giggles. |
| "Maybe they shouldn't have candy..." Alexi says. "Well, let's get going then. Shouldn't take us very long to get there since we're not going far. You two will have your candy in...say five minutes?" "Really? Oh thank you!" Zaine say happily. Alexi smiles and moves to the bridge, at the helm of the ship. She waits for Cyn to get the ship ready before she can start flying the ship. |
| Brink follows, getting away from the candy crazed couple. |
| "They're a little wired aren't they?" Alexi says once she and Brink are on the bridge. She looks out at the nearly empty deck, and watches Cyn work below. "Hey Jackson," Zaine says. "Are there other kinds of candy on Valkan? Is that what you're known for?" |
| "Probably because they've been humping like rabbits." Brink teases. "Well, yes we do, but we're mainly known for our intelligence in agriculture and geographical intelligence skills." Jackson says with a nerdy smile. |
| Alexi giggles at the thought. "Well, at least they're getting exercise." "Aw, so you're not known for candy?" Zaine sighs. "Well, that's fine then." |
| Brink chuckles along. "I suppose." "I-I'm sorry? We have lots of it though!" Jackson explains to them. |
| Cyn gives her the signal and Alexi launches the ship. "So...can I ask you something?" Alexi says. "If it's something you don't want to share, then don't, but I'm curious...about your arm." "I guess that can make up for it," Zaine says. |
| Brink puts his hand up as a signal to stop. "I lost it when I was a kid." Alan pokes Zaine's nose. "I think you're sweeter." She giggles. |
| "Oh," Alexi says. "I'm sorry. That's unfortunate. It seems more useful than a normal arm though." "I pale in comparison to you," Zaine says. |
| "Yeah, I mean I was a teenager I guess. I figured if I was in the military, I might as well get something useful." Brink shrugs. "Don't be sorry." Alan darts for his mouth with hers and let's herself fall into him for a few moments. Jackson slowly lets himself back away towards the elevator. |
| Alexi smiles. "True. That would be more useful than a normal arm. You're always armed." She giggles at her pun. "Sorry. That was bad taste." (Idiot. You shouldn't make jokes about serious stuff like this.) Zaine holds her, then lets her go. "We've scared Jackson away now..." |
| Brink chuckles. "It's ok." "Hmm?" Alan looks over. |
| "Okay," Alexi sighs, relieved. "We're here. Just gotta dock." "Look," Zaine subtly points to Jackson. "He's backing away like some scared animal." He smiles. "We should get him. It'll be like hunting." |
| Brink looks out of the ships windows. "Sweet." Jackson looks around frantically. "W-What?" "Let's catch the birdy!" Alan says deviously. |
| Alexi pilots the Aurora with skill, landing at one of the docking bays on Valkan. "Wonder what part of Valkan Jackson's from...Do you know Brink?" Zaine smiles fiendishly. "But not on the ship. It'd be too easy here. We'll catch him in his own territory, on Valkan!" He chuckles. "This is going to be fun." |
| Brink ponders this for a second. "I believe he is from Meissa." Alan looks at him with a evil smirk. "Very fun." Jackson raises an eyebrow and slips out of the room, heading for the bridge. |
| "I see," Alexi says. She sees Jackson coming their way. "Hi Jackson. We've just landed. You'll have to show us around to all the best spots here." She nudges him with her elbow. Zaine laughs. "Alright Alan. Lesson one: Observe your prey. We must watch him in his natural habitat to know when the best time to strike is." |
| {What the fuck is going on..lol} Jackson smiles and nods. "Of course, ma'am." Alan thinks for a moment. "So where he is weakest?" |
| "Bleh, ma'am," Alexi mutters. (I hate when people call me ma'am.) "Well, he's a nervous guy," Zaine replies. "He's probably hiding some unimaginable secret or a treasure or something!" |
| Brink smirks. "Shall we get the others?" "Like more candy?" Alan asks. |
| "I'm sure they know we're here," Alexi says. "Let's just head out. They'll follow soon enough." "Maybe," Zaine says. "Or maybe something better. Like a secret maybe he knows how to make candy." He chuckles. " Let's start the hunt!" |
| "Alright, if you say so." Brink says as he leads the way. Jackson follows behind. "Okay!" Alan says, enthusiastically. |
| Alexi nods and follows after them, Zaine and Alan following after her. Cyn stays behind on the ship. |
| Jackson cuts in front of Brink and leads them out on the dock, which is literally an open platform. Around them is a a big bustling city of grey and a big orange sky above. "Woah" Alan remarks as she looks around. |
| "So this is Valkan," Zaine looks around. His eyes flash gold briefly before returning to their natural color. "Weird...it feels nostalgic..." he mumbles to himself. "It's been a while since I was here last," Alexi says. "But it doesn't look like much has changed." |
| "Hmm?" Alan looks at Zaine curiously. "Never does." Jackson sighs, happy to be home. |
| "It must be nice to be home, eh Jackson?" Alexi smiles. Zaine shakes his head. "Well, c'mon! Show us around Jackson. I want to see everything!" "We'd be here a while if we really wanted to see everything," Alexi laughs. "This is a big planet." "Then the most important things!" |
| "Very well, if you wish. What do you wish to see? It's quite boring here." Jackson shrugs. |
| "Boring!?" Zaine exclaims. "There's no way a planet like this could be boring! Just look around. Look at all the places you could start an adventure!" "Someone's excited," Alexi giggles. "Wait," Zaine says, now completely serious. "This is your home right Jackson? So then, don't you want to see your family first?" |
| "Well, I suppose I will in my free time. I don't wish to truly bore you with my personal life." Jackson giggles nervously. |
| "So long as you're sure," Zaine says. "Hey, this planet has been around since before Kavarda blew up right? So, do they have any stuff from back then?" "I don't know," Alexi says. "Do you have a museum here still or are the artifacts on the station?" |
| "They had it on the station, but I believe we do hold a museum of rare artifacts from the old world." Jackson mentions as he thinks on this. |
| "Could we go there sometime?" Zaine asks. "Not necessarily right now, but before we leave?" "I don't see why not," Alexi says. "You don't want to go now?" "No. Not yet..." |
| "Hmm, how about we get a bite to eat then head out?" Brink suggests. |
| "Works for me," Zaine agrees. "Perfect!" Alexi exclaims. "I was starting to get hungry." |
| "I'll lead the way." Jackson says as he calls a car. |
| After waiting a few minutes, the car arrives. "What kind of food is here?" Zaine asks. "It's not much different than on the station," Alexi replies. "Of course, there are things that can only be found here too." "I'm excited! I can't wait," Zaine exclaims. Alexi giggles and looks out the window of the car, at the buildings passing by. (Maybe a bit too excited.) |
| Alan and Jackson and Brink scoot into the car with the rest of the group. "Where is Cyn?" Alan asks. |
| "He's not coming," Alexi says flatly. "Why not?" Zaine asks. Alexi shrugs. "He said he's got something he wants to do." |
| Brink shrugs. "I'm sure he wants to cool off after everything." Jackson programs the holographic driver to bring them to a restaurant. |
| "Yeah," Zaine says. Alexi continues to stare out the window. (Better not do anything stupid...) |
| They arrive to a tall building in the middle of the city, Meissa. On the first floor a ramen-bar style restaurant is seen. Floating tables and chairs fill the room, including a conveyor belt bar towards the left side of the entrance. |
| "Whoa!" Zaine exclaims. "We don't have anything like this on Phanaphos." "Not a bad pick kid," Alexi praises. |
| "Only too chain places here, so it was either this or Galacta-Hut." Jackson says as he nervously rubs the back of his head. Alan sits up at the bar and looks to see nothing is on it. "Hmm..? Where's the food?" |
| "Well, I'm glad you didn't choose Galacta-Hut," Alexi replies. "That place is terrible." "A restaurant with no food?" Zaine questions. "That can't be right Alan." |
| Brink walks behind the confused couple. "You need to order first." He says as he pushes a button in front of them. A raven flies over to them holding a laminated piece of paper. |
| "Whoa!" Zaine steps back, surprised. "This is the waiter?" Alexi giggles. "You could call it that." She looks through the options on the paper. "Hmm...These all sound good..." |
| "Do you have any idea for drinks?" The crow asks in a feminine voice. |
| "Hey Alan," Zaine whispers. "Is that lady bird talking?" "Well, if you have spiced ramuen, then I'll have that," Alexi says. "Otherwise ale is fine. Those two"-she points to Alan and Zaine-" will be having water." |
