"Are you Gray's woman?"
"Do it for Gray's sake."
"I'll leave Gray to you."

Juvia finally got a blessing from Silver! Lol, yeah emotional episode. Got teary-eyed when Silver and Gray hugged, it was a great father and son reunion.

And yes, Gray acquired his father's power! Ice Demon/Devil Slayer! So hyped!

Clearly you misunderstood this whole thing. Silver is already fcking dead. He's just a corpse being controlled by that Necromancer. And he begged Juvia to save him (he wants to end his suffering and wrong doings, he wants to go to heaven and live peacefully with his wife, Mika) by killing that monster. Although Juvia hesitated, yet she fought and fulfilled Silver's wish. That's why this episode title is Tartaros Chapter - A Silver Wish. That's the point of this episode.

This OP song sucks dick. With the amount of new OP/ED the show should look at using some American songs because a lot of these Japanese ones are total trash. Gray’s power up officially puts him as probably the third strongest wizard outside of Lexus and Makarov. Erza is just a little below Gray at this point.

New OP is great. New ED is meh.

This Silver/Gray arc does seem a bit... off, a few things not making sense, but its delivery and impact upon Gray's character arc make it easier for me to overlook the problems. I feel like Gray gets the most character development in this series, lol. And tears were once again shed for Gray and Silver.

As emotionally resounding as this conclusion was, and with how much I love this sort of melodrama, I can't complain, but I would've liked to have seen Silver live on. He may be a reanimated corpse, but his flesh and soul remain, despite the black magic wizardry, perfectly intact. There's no argument to be made that Silver was not Silver. He was quite evidently as much himself as he had ever been, and were his existence not bonded to Keyes' it would've been great to see him live on.

Keyes was beyond expectations a fairly interesting villain himself (by Fairy Tail standards, anyway). His interest in humans as storytelling devices combined with his utter detachment from them and his reanimation abilities made for a fascinating combination.

Too bad @Mai_Kujaku isn't here to fanboy over Juvia's character defining moment here. :P

Probably the best fairy tail episode ,emotionally

Gray at his lowest point ,meeting his father ,seeking out answers,

It was obvious from the beginning that it was his father all along ,END is a fire demon?

Oh my goodness that mean don't tell me it's natsu's father !

This is going to get rough

I love this episode ,that cliffhanger was unexpected though

Another spoiler heavy opening, I can feel it.

Gray once again getting the short end of the stick, dude's whole life just filled with miseries, so glad to have someone like Juvia by his side. Silver's backstory was kinda too shounen-ish, but okay I guess.

You did a great job Juvia, be proud of yourself.

What an episode! And I think this might be the first bad guy character that actually dies in Fairy Tail (Keyes). Not only that, but I think it's the first time one of the good guys actually kills a bad guy too. While Lahar was the first good guy named character, and the first named character in general, to die in the show. Gray's dad was technically already dead, so him perishing sort of doesn't count to me.
