| Holy cinema Garfiel vs Kurgan fight was amazing. Honestly blown away by the animation quality of the fight especially for this series, i always took fight scenes in this show as a kinda "not expecting much" but holy shit they pumped so hard for this fight and i'm so happy they did for Garfiel. Genuinely i feel like with his time in the spotlight as a side character they've done a great job fleshing his character out more with his trauma vs Elsa plus working on his insecurities and weaknesses. I think besting a Legend like Kurgan in a fair fight has to be one of the best things they could do for him and i'm really happy with what they've done for his character so far. Al continues to grow on me the more i watch him, low-key i think the reason is because his charisma and attitude kinda remind me of Subaru where he'll joke with his enemy and be blunt with things, but obviously Al seems to have a ton more fighting experience so can actually back up his talk. The foreshadowing of Al being the one that opened the gate and killing off people that know where the witches remains are was interesting. I feel like although he works under Priscilla, imma theories he either also works for people higher status then her or he's more of a "for the greater good" type character and decided to do things his own way even without Priscilla's knowledge. I think my only gripe i have about this fight, which can really also be applied to this season as a whole, is how i feel like a lot of character's this season have been using new abilities or techniques not seen or discussed previously in the show, more so then previously season anyway. Stuff like in the Garfiel vs Kurgan where Garfiel was using some red energy to i'm guessing enhance parts of his body, but also the way he was able to make stone structures that stopped Kurgan was cool but i have no clue what it is or how it works. I imagine in the 1 year gap that Subaru mentioned between s2 and s3 that's were a lot of training for various characters were done, like Emilia seemingly being a lot more effective at using her ice moves and fighting, but i would of been nice to see some of the training before hand. But for the majority of stuff like Al's "El Dona" or Reinhard's self revive I honestly don't mind searching up and doing deeper reading into the wiki to understand, since i feel like it definitely hasn't been the first time i've seen something from this series that i have absolutely 0 idea how it works and had to search it up. |

| Rengoku: UMAI Kugan: NIGOTO (idk how to spell) Was wondering how TF Garfiel was gonna beat this guy but dang he hadn't even gone all out yet. What a beast. Best animation (and by a long shot at that) of the season is given to Garfiel, and I'd say that it's well-deserved. Best part of the episode though was, if I'm not wrong, Lust SOMEHOW being able to tell just from Al's MOVEMENTS and what not, what his type is..???!!! And yeah it turns out to be Priscilla, like exactly. But HOW TF....?? Nah unrealistic, trash show, can't even, wtf. No freaking way. Absolutely lost me. Piss-poor writing. 1/10. |

| Wilhelm is such a cornball. "I do not believe we ended up here by chance". No shit, you went out of your way to confront her. This guy thinks he's so profound because he's dressed up a self-fulfilling prophecy as some sort of preordained encounter that was fortold by ancient deific tomes. Even Subaru didn't think the world revolved around him to this extent, and that includes the very beginning of the series. Also getting the impression the author really regretted killing off Elsa; look at all those post-mortem appearances. Rem would be jealous of that screentime. |
