Can’t overstate how crazy that is and how much confidence that’ll give Subaru and his group going forward. They can win this thing. Julius fuck 😭 feel awful for bro, but this is gonna be the start of an amazing relationship with he and Subaru now that Subaru’s all he got. I don’t mind the cliffhanger ending because season 4 is in production and sure to come soon, we thought for a while this season would be like 30+ episodes so I’m sure we’ll get the next arc starting very soon. Teaser just dropped. I was very happy with the season overall, but feels like this finale was rushed. Could’ve done with another episode or two likely to show more of the immediate aftermath of Julius not being recognized by everyone, Garf and his mom, Mimi and Garf, the aftermath of the Theresia fight.. But we move, they cooked with the hype moments and did the arc justice overall. This season was amazing and as a re zero fan I can’t be more happy, BUT s1 was a masterpiece you cannot compare it to the rest of the other seasons. Season 1 was just too perfect and they will probably never be able to reach that level again. I might add that almost every single episode in season 1 was either a 8.5/10 or 9/10 or a 10/10 there was not a single episode that was average in my opinion at least. But yeah season 3 is fucking great I’m just happy that it was better than season 2. Nah season 1 is overrated imo. Best two re zero arcs thus far are the trials of season 2 and this. I’ve never understood the hype for s1 other than the concept of return by death being novel. It’s a lot of nostalgia involved in that. I mean yes rem is there so that’s a plus, but Dona alone makes season 2 better. |

| Following the novels' steps, Arc 5 is again the weakest arc so far in terms of story and the lack of more psychologic and thriller elements tied with the lighter tone really makes it feel shallow compared to both previous seasons. Still, we can say White Fox cooked with the visuals this time, especially compared to Season 2 with its sometimes comically bad character drawings. Season 4 is looking like it may be Re:Zero's best season in most if not all aspects, but only if White Fox succeeds at adapting the depth of Arc 6 properly. |
| Well all Re:Zero seasons have their own adaptational problems... On pure animation front, this was terrific. Unfortunately execution of certain characters and removed intricacies leads to a lot of headscratchers for the casuals. A good display of the pyrrhic victory in this particular chapter "The Stars That Make History". No main character dies. Sounds good on paper, right? Meanwhile, Astrea family relationships just worsened despite the first episode tease of an improvement. People became transformed, probably for good. People got forgotten for an uncertain amount of time. Julius became a newly introduced character. Poor Garfiel remains motherless. Despite seeing her live with a new family. Capturing and escorting Sirius just increased pressure. Trust issues develop regarding Al and Anastasia in different ways. Crusch just became the unluckiest character, period. Despite easily being the most capable leader not so long ago. This is impairment. You dont have to kill the good guys! Just damage them in ways they eventually become sources of conflict and problems by themselves. This is why I like the results of this battle arc more than in certain shonen shows which thinks shaving the cast off dramatically is the only way for plot progress and character development. That doesn't mean there are no flaws, in fact there are many problems with presenting only one facet of things while the real narrative is much bigger. Also, obviously it's even more difficult to count the questions here, because they have been overwhelmed by raw action. Like, 1. Is Capella really The Emerada Lugnica? 2. What about the original motivation beeing witch remains in the city? 3. Why is Satella accused of killing the witches and there's still other explanations of them dying? (a continuing question from last season) 4. How did Louis (Rui) take Lye's place? What are the conditions? 5. How did Anastasia know spells? 6. Al. Yeah, that's the question, lmao. 7. Which civillian is that dragon? What are they doing now? (some can guess this, actually) I mean, even as a novel reader, you can't help but note the queries that can arise. I was slightly skeptical about Liliana singing for too much screentime at the end, but smart way to end it with Subaru's PTSD. Looking forward to this new guy. Heard he's voiced by Hachiman?! |

| Was wondering why Julius is nowhere to be found. Turns out nobody remembers him except for Subaru. At least he is still awake, unlike Rem and the others. Also, it hasn't been listed yet here, Rui Arneb voice actor is Kohara Konomi. No wonder her voice seems familiar. Hopefully, S4 will come soon, like in 1-2 years. Waiting another 4 years will just make me forget most of the characters and plot again. lmao |

| @AvihayAnimes Gluttony could eat name and memory, I assume? We have seen several cases of this. Julius: Everyone forgot the memories of him. Only his name got eaten. Crusch: Forgot her memory. Only her memory got eaten. Rem: Probably both her name and memory got eaten, so she's in a vegetative state because her existence is technically gone? I assume it depends on who eats it. But I'm not entirely sure. |

| I don't get it. Why can Julius still be up & walking about just fine, but Rem has to be in a perpetual coma for multiple seasons? Gluttony devoured both their names, but Julius still remembers everything & is fine (obviously, nobody else remembers him though), but Rem was just permanently sidelined? I haven't watched S2 in ages, so perhaps I forgot the reasoning. But all this time I thought one of the side effects of Gluttony devouring you was you were basically erased out of existence & physically put into a coma. Guess I was wrong. |

| Great season overall and some really good fights and crossovers. With that said, it probably was my least favorite season, which isn’t saying a lot because the previous seasons were 10s for me. One thing I love about Re:Zero is Subaru figuring out how to get out of complex puzzles with return by death. We didn’t get much return by death this season as we spent more time with other characters. In addition, there was some pretty crazy story developments in season 1 and 2, but this one was more like a big resolution to multiple threads previously established via back to back fights. Still really good, but just a bit less so for me. Anyways, I still loved it. 9/10 for me. |

1. What happened to Lust? Reinhard came in last episode destroying those creature and then it cut to the Gluttony fight and never went back. It never showed her die or anything.
2. How many gluttonies are there? They introduced what i think is a 3rd one but all the characters act like they know all of them and knew the whole time without explaining it to us viewers? If they do explain it and i somehow missed it, ill go back if you know what episode they talk about it.
Love the show but this is the most I've been lost after a season finale.

| @Desolations 1. Lust escaped. In the previous episode, you could see that she turned back into rats before Reinhard came because she had already found the book. 2. There are three Glutonnies, Lye and Roy, who looked and sounded the same, and Rui, the girl who just appeared for a brief moment to save Lye. The characters don't explain it because all of them didn't even knew that there was more than one Glutonny. At the very least, we know what they are from what Sirius/Wrath said in this episode; Gluttony consists of Gourmand, Foul Feeding, and Satiation. At some point, they said who is which, at least Roy and Lye, but I couldn't remember. They don't directly tell us, they make us work for it. |

| This series just likes to keep us waiting for more huh, but boy does it deliver when it comes back. Yeah, I really liked this season over all. With the whole cast taking part in a huge mess happening at the same place with 4 different archbishops the fights were bound to be awesome as the moments emotional. Subaru's speech just hits as the sakuga animation does in the clearest blasts and the suffering just keeps on coming right until the final episode. Good way to show off each candidate group as well making us see them under a different light, specifically Priscilla (and not because of the changing scene). Now, when will the next part come out? My gues is probably 2028 but who knows really. I'm just getting my hopes up by looking at the cover art. |

| Enjoying watching this weekly, not been updating mal enough to reflect that tho. The ending reveal felt kinda off, also had me feeling bad for julius. This whole season hasn't had the impact of season 1, nor subaru parent dynamic in 2020, which was really hard hitting. This could be due to multiple reasons, the music of comedic tone throughout this season, but also 4 year gaps. Also the IF stories could definitely have built up appeal over the years had they been handed over to other studios. Like i was super interested in if pride fan videos and animation back in 2018. That hype is gone now, community wide. Things feel mellow. |

| Honestly, Im a little miffed some fights ended faster then others (really only Subaru vs Regulus getting major spotlight) but otherwise i did enjoy this season. I've been informed a bit of stuff was cut from this season, but not a lot (I'm not a LN reader at this time) I think if anything this season makes me realize how much I overestimated the Camps (excluding Reinhart) cause damn, some of them came close to dying or ended their fights with major injuries. The Whale fight from S1 alongside how relatively "easy" it was too for Petelgeuse made me think the group was OP so long as the Camps were together. (Especially when we got AL and Priscilla this time for the Alliance) Speaking of AL I do think some of the dislike I've seen from this season talking about how peeps didn't like Subaru barely using his return from death (i think he used it...3-4 times at the beginning with wrath and that's it?) missed the point of S2 being that Subaru is going to try not to rely on it as much anymore. Otherwise, i think this was fun, every episode felt like 10 things were happening at once, was CRAZY, and it went by so fast aaaaaa. But S4 announced already lets go!! RIP MY BOY JULIUS THOUGH!! |

| Absolutely loved the season! was it the best? I loved S2 more cuz of Echidina but it is what it is. From animation to the art everything was superb. The Cliffhanger at the end? gave me goosebumps! Can't wait for s2 imo |

Beatrice vs. Lye proves to be yet another big battle against the real Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, though it did take 5 magic crystals not to defeat him, but to reveal the TRUE Gluttony: the young girl of Rui Arneb, the only Sin Archbishop to be left alive and on the run.
Both Subaru and Emilia being happy to see Beatrice again as Anastasia declares the fight won, though not without casualties. Priscilla having captured Capella for Subaru, Emilia and Beatrice to interrogate her, and she proves more of a freak than a threat. Still, with what they have, restoring what's left of the broken city of Priestella, after much of the terror, everything is back to normal.
Julius taking Subaru's heart captive lol, I sure did not expect that...
Another Re:Zero season in the docks, and to cap yet another tremendous season.
Both Subaru and Emilia being happy to see Beatrice again as Anastasia declares the fight won, though not without casualties. Priscilla having captured Capella for Subaru, Emilia and Beatrice to interrogate her, and she proves more of a freak than a threat. Still, with what they have, restoring what's left of the broken city of Priestella, after much of the terror, everything is back to normal.

| wow more of gluttony in the last episode, what a treat huh. that was a long, painfully bad season and by far the worst one so far. but i'm glad it's finally over. people were saying this is was gonna be one of the best arcs, but it turned out to be trash so i can't even believe it when they say the next one will be one of the best, again lmao. the vincent chansard bit was easily the best part as well, even though i don't watch r;z for the fights. |

| very enjoyable season even if it was mostly a payoff we really did rack up a ton of Ws that i'd be odd for this show in classic re zero fashion to not end of a cliffhanger thats somewhat fucked up Julius taking the biggest L though was not on my bingo card but it does make sense with what Sin he fought which actually seems sorta worse than the others looking forward to the next arc at least flat8/10 for this still have some issues but its stands to note how amazing this season looked at times |
