| So Saku's main issue wasn't that Rintaro was seeing a Kikyo girl (gasps) but that he felt that Rintaro didn't trust them enough to tell them. I'm sure at some point Rintaro may open up, probably after he gets over the guilt that Subaru put over him. Speaking of Subaru, I hope that she is honest with Waguri and admits to what she did which should hopefully explain to Waguri why Rintaro has been acting kind of quiet lately. |

| Saku cares about his friends a lot, so it makes sense that he's disappointed in Rintaro for not trusting them. Can't really blame Rintaro for failing to understand this though, since he's lived his life downplaying himself all the time. Actually more surprised that Shohei described Rintaro so well. Thanks to him and Ayato, they're gonna make up soon and grow closer |

| Yeah no way Waguri did not see Rintarou through some GLASS display cabinets Ah yes the classic "I can't be with her because I'd hurt her" romance cliché, and the drama that ensues with it. In many cases, such tropes just get you frustrated, wishing that they'd all get over it soon. But here... it's fine I think. For one, Rintarou is honest with himself about his feelings. There's no misunderstanding, he's just genuinely looking out for Waguri as Subaru is. You can easily dislike Subaru for how she's getting in the way of the two. But while wrong as she admits she is, she too only wants to protect the friend who protected her. She doesn't even fight back when Rintarou tells her "no". She just says that that's what she expected, and leaves. And later as we see at the end of this episode, she goes to talk to Waguri, to no doubt tell her the same thing she told Rintarou. Communication is not going to just one, but both parties. I have qualms about Subaru's actions. She only means well. On top of that, Rintarou has a goated mom to knock some sense into him and to be his wingman when he has none. She is low-key looking at her kid and cringing, having read too much romance manga that take forever to progress so she be like GET ON WITH IT. And Rintarou's friends... when the MC has friends like this it makes me wanna cry. They never wanted to condemn him, only to understand him. And they even conclude that he will be clear with them, in his own due time. In the meantime, they have read the room, and will give him space. Respect. All the while, Waguri is absolutely unfazed. She has detected that something has Rintarou down. But none of that is going to stop her. The romeo and juliet forbidden love stuff can be irritating to watch. But if our lovers pull through, it just makes their bond even stronger. And while not quite yet, Rintarou and Waguri are obviously not going to let some school enmity get in the way of each other. |

| It does not bode well for me that this series is, in fact, centering around this school rivalry. Even if I didn't have to suspend my disbelief for it, the interpersonal relationships between the characters and the premise of not judging a book by its cover is way more compelling to me. |

| I love how this show finds away to put you in the shoes of how certain situations in life work, even though Rintarou sent a positive message about him passing to Kaoruko he seems miserable and sad of what happened but text cant convey that while Kaoruko is overjoyed and happy for him and believes all is well which is not that case. I love how Kaoruko could tell Rintarou was down and instead of prying, as Rintarou said before he wasnt ready to talk about it, so Kaoruko decided to make give cheer up just from seeing he was not ok...I love this anime's subtly so much Kaoruko Supremacy  |
