| Yeah Rintaro was overthinking on what to give Kaoruko for her birthday but glad he talked to his mom as a custom made cake was the perfect gift and she loved it. This was a wholesome and heartwarming episode which Rintaro's cake represented perfectly and it did look tasty. Regarding the next episode, it looks like it will be a beach one which I'm looking forward to and on that note I'm curious as to what type of bikinis Kaoruko and Subaru will wear. |

| Sorry. I spent half the episode in trance because of Rintarou's dad's voice. Man, what a voice. Sweet episode. Just as sweet as the cake Rintarou made, probably. Kaoruko was also pretty cute this time around. And here comes the beach episode. |

| It's amazing how the father suddenly seemed to feel refreshed (from totally exhausted) when he had to help his son. You really could notice that he liked that the son depended on him ... but also that he loves cakes and stuff - and teaching that to Rintaro lol. Side note: I actually have a hard time remembering anime where both parents exist, have screentime ... and actually seem "well-written". Not only do you not get to see them most uf the time - but if they appear I mainly remember focus on one part. (Like the mother trying to "help" the son with the girls. Lol. With weird Romcom stuff where the then stalks them cause she wants to see everything.) Father is a great char. I like the face, facial expression and the voice actor + his personality. |

| Dang, sometimes it's in the execution of small details... I really liked how the episode toned down the cicadas in the background when Rintaro confessed about the cake. Staff knew how to punctuate the right moments. |

| fuwafuwa episode!! Especially all expressions from otou-san, Rintarou & Waguri chan. I couldn't help but feel anxious when Rintarou went to hand her the cake, but wait... there's more anxiety to come!! When they went to the park too!! ahaha. I keep fearing that Waguri's classmates will see them together and suddenly create a ton of drama for Waguri. There are only a few eps left, so if there's any school drama to come, it has to be now or never, right? |

| I acknowledge that the blame could be all on me that I wasn't paying attention, but I thought Rintaro's dad was dead or a divorcee not living with them. Needless to say I was surprised that he's alive and works at the bakery, but the man is a DILF. I'm probably feeling a less intense version of what people feel about Toji from JJK. |

| I thought the dad was dead considering we never saw him until now. He seems really proud of Rintaro, its no longer "are ya winning son"? Its now "my son IS winning" Very cute episode! Waguri is so precious, the way she smiled after taking a bite was so cute. |
