| I'm not sure if this idea has been proposed but couldn't they possibly connect all the routes into a single timeline, and that timeline is what is looping? So all of this is happening and is only one route, including Refrain, but Riki always failed somewhere, and this is the "final" timeline where he finally succeeded to overcome everything? |

Tennouji_ said: Probably the recent Key works, particularly Clannad and LB, are trying to aim a happy end if possible which they're trying to make or find a possibility on how to pull it. Yes the big drama is still there but I believe they wanted to rest assured the viewers. Most fans wanted a happy end. Though Rewrite is a kind of exception. A happy/perfect end works much better for a nakige than any other. Basically, the aim is to get the greatest amount of emotion out of the player. The best way to do that after getting the player attached to the characters is to alternate between extreme sadness and extreme happiness. So although going for a bittersweet ending would be much more realistic, it could only provide about half the amount of emotion that a perfect ending would yield. If you ask me, that's a pretty good tradeoff. As long as it doesn't get ridiculous, I will favor the emotional impact over realism. |

I also prefer that even they leave a Tragic End or a tragic moment, they still leave a happy note like Rewrite or if you want to end After Story at episode 18. Leaving a too much depressing ending isn't a good idea. For instance, the idea that they should end the LB story after the part where Riki and Rin didn't save everyone in the bus explosion. Seriously, that was so much depressing to just end it that way(I guess most people are masochist at heart) and I don't think it's just only a bittersweet end. They should know Kyousuke's plan(To make Riki and Rin become stronger) and his plan still isn't in vain because they manage to do what Kyousuke and the others did(Creating a dream world) and so on. |

| "Key magic" exists for the exact purpose of letting the characters go through immense drama and suffering, yet still giving them a happy/perfect ending despite everything that's happened. Without magic, it would be impossible to go to such extremes in BOTH sadness and happiness. |

| If Key shows didn´t have happy endings, they wouldn´t be the same. That´s what I love about Key. |

| When the girls thank Riki for his help, I'm pretty sure that for him, he only thinks that they mean recruiting them to Little Busters, and giving them a group of friends. For me, Riki's expression kinda looks baffled/confused to me, so yeah. Also, because of the non-linearity of the deam world, you could say that everything already has happened, but haven't happened yet. Like a time soup (?) yeah. Something like that, haha. |

| That picture makes me want to cry. That trailer makes me want to cry. Riki and Rin make me want to cry. Haha. The sound direction better be good for Refrain. I was hoping for a new arrangement of "Song for Friends," but whatever. I'm definitely not against new music from two quality composers. |

| Here is how I envisioned the last 3 episodes of Refrain. It has been a long time since I finished LB, so some parts might be a bit off. Here I go: Episode 11: Emotional part when Kyousuke reveals the truth of the world and everyone saying their parting words. The extra members of LB (Komari and co.) should also be included in this scene, with them also knowing the truth and giving thanks to Riki and Rin for helping them to resolve their regrets before moving on. Also, Rin should be active in this scene (saying something like wanting them to stay together forever), not like an emotionless brick in the original scene. Then they return to original world -> Sad end happens where only Riki and Rin survived Episode 12: We start with Riki and Rin living their life together after Sad end. Even though they were able to become mature and move on with life just like Kyousuke had wished, they were never truly happy. Time passed until they grow old, and an elderly Rin met Komari (her ghost, spirit or whatever). Rin then made a wish with Komari’s star there, wishing things will go back in time, but this time, she will be strong enough to support Riki. Then TIME TRAVEL!!! In the new timeline, Riki and Rin woke up, and decided to rescue everyone. This part is probably the most important part in the anime, and very difficult to pull it off. They should add good animation, tension, suspense, dramatic music, EVERYTHING to make this scene EPIC, to show that Riki and Rin working very hard to save every single one on the bus (again, show the extra LB members being rescued as well). A good idea here is that during the rescue, Riki’s narcolepsy kicks in multiple times, and he nearly fell over. But this time, through sheer determination and Rin’s support, Riki pulled it through. When Riki was getting Kyousuke out, the bus caught on fire. His narcolepsy kicked in for the last time, Riki had no choice but to throw Kyousuke out of the window, and collapsed. Rin found out and managed to pull Riki out on time, right before the bus exploded. Riki’s consciousness faded to black. (Note: Well, I definitely tried to make Rin more useful here, since she deserved more action. Also, I wanted the “wish of the star” to not magically cure Riki of his narcolepsy, but only to help him to stay conscious enough to save everyone -> avoid deus ex machina) Episode 13: Just go with the happy ending. They could stretch it out by adding some original scenes involving LB having fun together, and LB members finding their resolve (Komari made peace with the fact that her brother died, Mio became more cheerful and outgoing, Haruka got along with her sister, Kud coped with her mother’s death, Yuiko found her joy in life, Kengo attended Yoshiki’s grave). They can go with both normal and Rin’s ending here, first showing Rin evaluating whom to be Riki’s girlfriend. Then later they met in the classroom alone -> she couldn’t bear the thought of seeing Riki going out with anyone else -> decided that she should be his girlfriend instead -> KISSING :) Then LB went on a trip to the beach and LITTLE JUMPER!!! Ok, if JCStaff can pull it off at least 70% like this, I would revere them as GOD, by watching every anime they make for the rest of my life. But I doubt it would happen. |

You're funny. Maybe for the Refrain arc alone, but the entire season will be longer than 1 cour. Anyway, my thoughts on that: ok let's see... Ep 11. Including the other LBs might be a nice touch. Rin shouldn't be overly mindbroken, yep. bad end, yep Ep 12. I don't even know where you're going with this original content, but it's a nice idea I guess. Ep 13. I want them to add the beach scene from the Drama CD Bokura no Asa: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxegkyezRk4 Kiss? Would make for a pretty sweet ending. Rin's one of my lesser favorite characters in LB, but I want to see a romantic ending for the people who appreciate it. Not sure how some things will work out, material-wise, since they said there would be no script changes. The ending is what I'm the most fearful for. |

| I want each Little Busters! character episode to be at least 2-3 episodes (But they should be as long as necessary to cover everything form the VN). but Riki and Rin's episodes ( in the true end ) can be done in 1 episode together since they are not that long.Since Rin gets two 'farewells' with Komari, I'm guessing they will be in 2 separate episodes. (one in the normal end and one in the true end) I know they are going to pull a Homura on us for Kyousuke, where they will end an episode where Riki has recruited Masato and Kengo, standing outside the door and is 'ready' to recruit Kyousuke. The next episode to be from Kyousuke's perspective where he narrates everything from the beginning from his point of view and the episode will end when Kyousuke and Riki link hands. And we all cry when we watch the episode preview LOL. As for the 'boys farewell', that speaks for itself. There's no way they can mess up THAT scene unless the music direction is god awful, and the director tones down the voice acting. (if he does.. 'I will find you, and I will kill you'). After the hospital scene, I want the credits to roll up like it did in the VN. I think it will leave the viewers speechless, I mean depressed. And then maybe after the credits, some foreshadowing for key magic but not explicitly , maybe just Rin's bell rings since we want viewers to believe the LB! crew is all dead. And they HAVE to make that post Refrain scene where they go to the beach. I just watched it yesterday LOL. It was amazing especially during the end. |

Personally, I am not a fan of adapting 100% exactly like the original. In the rescue scene, I felt that if it was animated exactly like what happened in the original VN, it would a bit anti- climatic. The narcolepsy getting in the way would be like a test for Riki's resolve, and add more suspense to the scene. Riki can succumb to his disease at any moment, yet despite that he still persevere to save his friends. Anyway, just show that his life is at stake here as well, and the audience would be more sympathetic and cheer him on . Rin should be more involved, rather than just listening to whatever Riki said. The anime should add moments to show that Rin has become more mature, who is able to think more independently without relying on orders. So I think letting Rin to save Riki at the last moment would really make her shine Midou89 said: The other LB members are not in the world in refrain there are only 4 lights at the start of refrain Kyousuke, Kengo, Masato and Komari so it wouldn't make sense for them to appear Why wouldn't it make sense to add everyone in the group in Refrain? The new members were recruited in LB! during the common route. Remember that Refrain starts in the beginning of the common route. Kyousuke never came up with the idea of recruiting new members here. The interactions between the new members and the old members wouldn't be very friendly as a result. Also, remember that the girls 'disappear' after their routes are complete (something that is also implemented in the anime) since they don't have any regrets before dying. |

Well, they don't need to show up the whole time during Refrain, only during the farewell scene. I know it doesn't really flow well in terms of logic, but to me it seems like a wasted opportunity if it's left like that. Also, that world is only imaginary, and Kyousuke can make anything happen according to his will, so why not? If you added everyone during the boys disappearance scene it would also make Komari's scene on the rooftop redundant, well at least that's how I would feel But I can see where you're coming from, wanting to make it very emotional, but story > cheap emotional value for me :3 |

Refrain is the story of the original little busters, so it seems pointless to include them considering Riki probably didn't remember them at that point and they all get their moment in their routes and Rin has a scene remembering them all not long after and even if they did appear they would just be NPC's controlled by Kyousuke as they don't enter the world in refrain |

Unless it's EX route related in which from all users who usually lurks on the LB section, I'm the only one here who played the EX routes. |

You need to choose not to skip the mini shooting game then when you play as Saya, try making her died as much as possible from all the dungeon traps. When she died enough time, she will be awaken to her hidden M power. ![]() And unlock Ecstasy mode for shooting game. ![]() The empty heart will be filled as she take damages, when all the hearts are full she will enter Ecstasy state. It recover all her health bar and basically make Saya invincible. With such wonderful M power of making pain into pleasure,Saya managed to defeat Kyosuke, replace him as the new master of the world and become the new leader of Little buster. I guess what they are trying to say here is : If you want Saya's happy ending you need to step over Kyosuke's dead body. |

Wait, that's just simple that I just need to make Saya die Also, how about where Riki went "alpha mode" on the crane machine scene? I totally forgot how to reach that. |

Tennouji_ said: Wait, that's just simple that I just need to make Saya die You need to walk into all the trap on all the floor until B7F. Here's a mini Japanese walkthough : http://blog.livedoor.jp/kuryu_/archives/51480166.html Looking at the map should make it a bit easier. He just want to know if Saya brought the guns with her ! As for that scene,a little fun fact, the Japs have 2 different walkthrough for Saya's route. The first is Saya's route(stupid Riki version) the second is Saya's route(normal Riki version).I believe that scene is in the stupid version so you should follow the choice in that walkthrough to reach it. |

Finally, a very reliable Japanese walkthrough(Just because they included the maps)! zakkun89 said: Riki isn't a perv ! He just want to know if Saya brought the guns with her ! But that scene is just really hilarious! I facepalm'd so hard on how hilarious it was. Yeah I know about the "stupid Riki version" and the "normal Riki version" but the first Japanese walkthrough I followed didn't give me that scene. Maybe I'll try that walkthrough if I ever couldn't help myself but to replay Saya's route again because Doki is getting shit for not finishing the translation quickly. |

| There's nothing wrong or funny about lifting a girl's skirt up to see if she had gun or not ! If you want to see that scene again so much then just watch it on YT.(Not that I keep watching it or anything) |

| I only replay her route to hear her long masochist rants, evil laugh and weird noise expressions. Also,it take a true masochist to keep replaying the dungeon in her route.(or see her true ending over and over again....) |

| So I just remembered the best dream I had last night. It's just an idea but I think it would be awesome if they did a photo montage when the series finishes. After the van vanishes into the distance and Little Jumper approaches it's ending and reaches the nostalgic guitar part. The screen goes back to the clubroom back at school ![]() And the camera pans up the wall which displays all photos of the Little Busters and their precious memories. And Lastly we see this picture ![]() and above it they show this ![]() And include the dialogue from the Bokura no Asa CD drama Kyousuke: All right.. Dismissed for the day Riki: Hey.. earlier.. Masato, was it? He's been burnt black, is he okay? Kyousuke: Don't worry about. Riki: O-okay. Kyousuke: But more importantly, did you have fun, Riki? Riki: Yeah, I did. Kyousuke: I see. Oh yeah I forgot to mention this earlier. Riki: Eh, What? Kyousuke: From today on, you're a Little Busters too. * Little Jumper finishes* and Fin I just thought it would be a bonus for the fans. |
