| I stayed up at 12:03 at night for this and it was worth it after a long days work. Seeing the show I so much cared for is back. NaLu NaLu NaLu everywhere !!! The opening is great and ending sweet The opening kinda sounded to me of Dora the explorer especially the nanananananaoh nanananananaoh hey hey ,ugh I hated that show but the opening is great. I like how Gray still looks hot after the new art style. Why does Wendy look taller?! Lector my gosh that look painful to see ,it felt just like when I read the chapter ,he killed him you BASTARD!!! Sting looks badass when he shot a whole through his master ,best part b far. |

| Finally after whole year ft came back (I am so excited )^^ The first episode surprised me since the nalu moment in the begining and in the end but it was rather good :D. In my opinion, opening was pretty good but first season endings were better :D but it doesn't matter because i loved every moment of this ep :D and i can't wait for more ^^ |
| As an anime only viewer I can barely remember where we left off! Was sad to see Lector die but good to see Jiemma's death. The new theme song is quite good but the prolepsis's both confused and spoilt it for me. I despise the new drawing but seeing as they'll continue it, it will probably grow on me and I'll gradually forget the old drawing. |

Story wise its actually the "anti-depression" therapy for the mangaka, due to his previous work being relatively far more dark, sadistic and unforgiving to its characters. MrAM said: I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. The opening scene of course was an overdone but well-executed way to garner interest and suspense for whatever happens next. I do feel a slightly darker undertone to this new series, though whether it was exclusive or not to only the first episode remains to be seen. The newer series do seem to be generally less "toned down", this one does not seem to have as many censorship restraints. If there was one thing that irritated me, it was that Zeref once again is the source of all the problems, once again. I really liked the idea that Dragon Slayers become dragons themselves if they overuse their powers and that a Dragon Slayer was responsible for the mass destruction of most dragon, because those plot points would certainly make the whole concept of Dragon Slayers more compelling and provide some potentially good drama down the line. It was not to be, though, since it was revealed directly after that the Dragon Slayer likely transformed into a Dragon due to Zeref's interference, which simplifies the conflict and removes a lot of potential themes and significant character arcs and drama. All of the story arcs so far had something to do with Zeref. As for Zeref involvement - its unknown whether he was actually involved in it. Its just what this Dragon has heard. | I missed Fairy Tail soo much. It's amazing but I realised that the priveus "season" ended smth like a year ago... Time runs soo quickly. Lol. And Omg. So many NaLu feelings. And. Characters look nice but... Gray lost something but I'm not sure what... |

| just finished the opening … four times. awesome one and its BoA! O_o never expected that. i have my past with BoA … anyway animation style of the opening was really great, Natsu and Lucy, all the stylish movements, Natsus shoulder in the flames!! *_* kinda missed the music and the gang. now i enjoy the ep. ^^ after another few runs with the opening. its so awesome! what a great return of „my“ show. your anfo FairyTail ^_^ |

| Gotta admit I love that OP. Especially the part where Lucy and Natsu are resting their heads against each other, that's just so sweet. A nice return to the series, surprised by all of the revelations that were done in the first episode. I feel like the bar scene was a subtle way to recap major things, which I'm glad they did instead of whole flashback scenes. I wanted to wait until there were more episodes to start, but I guess I really couldn't resist. Although when Zirconis was talking about the dragon war I instantly thought Skyrim and started chanting the theme. |

| Every second post is about how they totally changed the style and it totally does (not) fit. I dunno, but i don't even notice all those differences most of the time. This goes as far as me wondering if i watched an old episode. Only Gajeel threw me off when he first appeared. Besides that i just hope they remember what Mirajane said and let Wendy actually do something big. And Charles and her premonition..she has them rather often, but almost never tells anybody even when they always come true at least in some way. |
