| "Afraid?" Ren almost laughed. "Well, if I was, would you be?" she giggled this time, turning Masaru's mock to fire back at him. "Hush, I'm not done," she said, waving her hand at him as she pulled the next item up. "And this was specially designed for Masaru-senpai. I haven't shown it to you yet, so this is a great opportunity since you asked. After finding out about your fear, I mean wariness, for needles, I immediately asked for a documentary to be filmed, simply out of concern for my dear senpai, of course." she tossed a CD at him which had a blank cover and a rating 25+ on the top left hand corner. "Don't worry, about the rating, they're generally overrated anyway. It'll help you get over you fear, I mean wariness." |
| "Yes! I would!" Remarked Masaru with a slightly fearful expression. It only increased as she designated an item exclusive for use against himself. Catching the disk, he blanched. "...No... I'll watch this when you watch The Human Centipede..." He declined it immediately. It wasn't an actual offer, however, and if she asked what said film was, he would give her the same reaction when she asked to what "innocence" could mean. |

| "Centipede?" Ren's eyes suddenly widened and she quickly shielded her reaction, hoping Masaru hadn't noticed. "Uh...that sounds...interesting....uh....let's leave that for some other time, okay?" she didn't know what the movie he mentioned was about, but she made sure she quickly brushed it away. |
| Masaru raised a brow at her reaction. Slowly, a smirk silently grew on his face as he stared at her. After a short chuckle, he leaned back in the chair with a suspiciously content expression on his face. He might have found some ammunition to fight back with.... |

| "Senpai?" asked Ren warily in an almost timid way. "Uh...why do you have that expression?" |
| "What ever do you mean?" Masaru questioned with a satisfied exhale. "I don't know what expression you could be talking about." He further added, though it was obvious he knew exactly what she was talking about. |

| Ren grumbled and started packing her bag away. "Taking the fun out of things. I'm watching you, senpai! So don't try anything funny," she glared at him, hoping that it would be enough to deter him, though she knew that it would do hardly anything. She let out a sigh and resigned to her fate in being teased with centipedes for the rest of eternity. (That's Ren being melodramatic lol xD) |
| "Funny as in what specifically? What could I possibly do that would be funny? Perhaps... something involving centipedes...? No... I couldn't possibly... Or could I?" Masaru spoke quite mischievously. "You seem a bit on edge... Ren-chan." He added. This was obviously a red flag as Masaru generally hated honorifics and usually refused to acknowledge them." |

| Ren felt strangely alarmed and didn't quite like it. Masaru? Teasing her?? This never happened. "Don't get ahead of yourself! And don't call me Ren-chan, it's creepy," she fought to keep her voice from rising to a screech. "Uh, let's change the topic to something else." Attempting to calm herself so that she'd be able to deal with the unexpected turn of events better, she quickly switched the coffee machine on and for once in a long time, she drank it without a book in front of her. |
| "Well, that wasn't my intent... Hey, Blake. I'm not doing anything wrong, am I?" Masaru questioned Blake, hands raised in a surrendering motion and still with the odd smirk upon his face. Honestly, Masaru probably wouldn't actually do something with a centipede.... but he sure was going to at least milk this new information... Then again... Who knows? If he found good enough reason to, he might. (Gonna go to sleep now. Night) |

| "Urg," mumbled Ren, looking slight downcast into her cup. She drained the cup before rinsing it and putting it back into place. "Senpai, I hope centipedes crawl into your ear tonight when you sleep and maybe you'll have some consideration for me." |

| "Centipedes," said Ren, finally recovering enough to shoot a glare at each and every member in the room. |
| "You know they have giant centipedes and milipedes at the pet store" |

| "Good thing I never go to pet stores," said Ren with a shudder, a frown imbedding over her brows. |
| "What about scorpions of snakes they also have puppys and cats" |
|
| "What? Now there's nothing wrong with scorpions and snakes, snakes are really cute," said Red, starting to feel confused, until it hit her, was Zaz trying to scare her. Now amused, Ren made herself another coffee and leaned back against the wall. |
| "Maybe we should go to the pet shop some day and see what they got" |

| "No thanks, puppies and kittens aren't my style," replied Ren, narrowing her eyes. |
| "But they got snakes which you thought were cute" |
|
| "They are, but I saw enough of them when I was left on some island," said Ren with a grin. |
| "Well this is news and maybe even a story" |
|
| "You wanna hear?" asked Ren. "It's pretty stupid." A tinge of anger appeared in her tone but was only barely noticeable as she recalled the memory. |
| "Well it beat sitting here doing nothing" |

| "True that," she said and walked over to sit at her usual position on the sofa. "I think this is the first time I've ever talked about my elder brother and it's probably taken so long for it to come up cause he's so annoying. You know my family is rich, so they have enough money to support the wonder lust of my brother and were willing to let him go anywhere he wanted even while he was in middle school. When I was 14 and he was 16, he decided to take me to some uninhabited island for my birthday. Long story short, the stupid idiot got lost on the second day there and I ended up wandering the stupid island for 10 days before I finally found him having roast with some indigenous islanders." her voice grew more and more irritable as she progressed through the story, making the story hasty and difficult to follow. "And he didn't think to come looking for me or anything? I had to eat snakes and bugs and gross mushrooms that made me puke for days and he was eating roast and having a nice cultural party and he didn't for one second think to come looking for me." Finally pausing, Ren wrapped her story up with a cough. "Well, my brother ended up dropping out of high school anyway and never really acted like a big brother in the first place. Not to mention he's short tempered and bossy, so whenever he makes me come on one of his trips, I can't say no or shit hits the fan." she grumbled and smacked the arm of the sofa angrily, |

| "If you think so," grumbled Ren. "That being said, snakes are far cuter when they're alive and when you're not trying to extract as much of their unpoisoned meat so that you can eat them." |
| Blake lifted his head up over the arm chair of the sofa and stared at Ren horrified and confused. He had just woke up and his eyes were tired and his movements were slow. After only hearing the last part of the conversation Blake questioned in a disgusted tone "You eat snakes? Snakes? Are you for real?" The whole idea sent a shiver down his spine and he cringed in absolute dread. There were only two things that scared him in this world: snakes and Ren. The thought of Ren eating snakes would fuel enough nightmares for a month. "I... I think I need to go to the toilets" he revealed before rushing out the door at impeccable speed. |
| At the story, Masaru's smirk turned into a minor frown. When he mentioned his sister, he thought that Ren seemed to hold a slight aversion... however didn't question why and dismissed it. This was probably the reason. Ruffling his hair with a scowl, he let out a sigh. "Sorry to hear that... that isn't how a brother should act... well, they should at least act like a brother when it counts." He agreed with her. "...But... did you ever ask him what he was doing? What happened? Maybe he was trying to find you." He inquired. Not that Masaru thought it was impossible for a brother to... well, not act like one, but most did, at least when it counted. In his eyes, an older brother was supposed to protect the younger siblings, no matter what. Especially in his case since he was technically the guardian. The seriousness of his mood was then broken for a moment when Blake woke up and sped out of the room. "Pfft.... Snakes.... What a wuss." He joked. |

| Ren watched Blake rush out of the room. "Uh...oops?" Returning to Masaru, she answered with a slightly disengaged look in her eyes. "Of course I asked. He completely forgot about me once we got there, that's why he got lost in the first place. But it's not like I care as much as I used to. The only reason I can fight and avoid fights as well as I can is because of being dragged around by him anyway. And I haven't seen him in a year now cause he decided to disappear after quitting high school. Even though he promised to at least always be there on my birthdays..." she said with a frown the shook then thought away. "It doesn't matter anymore. None of my family has ever been reliable anyway, so I shouldn't have expected any less from my brother of all people." |

| Ren felt her face involuntarily soften and she ruffled Rita's hair affectionately. "Well, this isn't so bad either." (brb) |

| Her response made Masaru scowl further. Forget? How can you forget about your own sister? Especially if you're the one who dragged her there and being the eldest? It was idiotic. More than idiotic... it was just cold-blooded. However, Masaru's face as well softened at Rita's way of cheering her up. He gave one of his rare peaceful smiles and he chuckled at the sight. "Well, who cares about him? We're your family anyway, and we do a much better job at looking out for one another." |

| "True that," replied Ren with a bright grin. She felt a little embarrassed now with all the comfort she was getting, but more strangely happy. From the beginning, she'd never considered family as anything important, though that could possibly change now. "An older brother like senpai and a younger sister like Rita," Ren chuckled. "I suppose that would make Blake the twin, Zaz the younger brother and Kim the baby brother?" |

| Masaru smirked at Ren's discomfort and got up to make himself a cup of coffee for once. As he made it, he paused. "Wait... if I'm the older brother that means I'm the one that's responsible for all of you... might've misplayed that... Though, I guess it ain't anything I wasn't doing before." He murmured to himself honestly as the coffee finished pouring into his cup. |

| Ren thumped Zaz's chest in an awkward show of affection before wriggling out of the mass of embraces. "Oh come on, big brother, that's the least you can do right?" |
| "Hey! I've taken hits from Ryuji and Ban, and got my arm dislocated... again. I've gone beyond the call of duty." Masaru stated, holding his coffee up to his mouth in order to blow on it. "Don't worry... I'll keep watch like always, imouto." |

| Ren dropped her chin into her hand thoughtfully for a second, wondering whether she was okay with Masaru using the tone in imouto but then grinned cheekily. "You're going to have your hands full with this imouto." |

| "Not if I have some centipedes handy." Masaru commented, smirking slightly as he brought the cup to his lips and carefully sipped the coffee. Sighing, he spoke again. "Little brothers just terrorize the other siblings... except the eldest." |

| Kim enters the hangout, having just returned from the store with a bar of chocolate in one hand and a bag full of snacks in the other. "Hey! you guys are back. One minute everyone was here and the next you were all gone" Kim said with a mouth full of food. "You guy's get up to anything fun while you's were gone?" Kim said as he sat on the opposite sofa and continued to eat. |
