| Things appear as if Brink has never arrived. Quiet, however. |
| Alexi walks in the room and sits on the same bed she had previously flopped down on. "Where'd Brink go?" Zaine shrugged. "I don't know. Wasn't really paying much attention to him." She looks over to Alan. "I guess we're not going to have that meeting today..." "Yeah..." Zaine says absent-mindedly as he continues to stare at his pendant. Alexi stands up and nudges Alan with her boot. "Hey Alan." |
| Allan turns over and mutters something in halloin. |
| Zaine watches Alexi. "Are you really going to wake her up?" Alexi stares at him for a moment. "Are you really going to sit there and stare at your pendant all day?" She nudges Alan again, this time a bit harder. Zaine mumbles to himself, "I don't just stare at it..." |
| Alan doesn't move. |
| "Damn, the girl is a heavy sleeper." Alexi complains. She loads a different wheel cannister into her gun, then points it at Alan. "Hey," Zaine says as he gets up. "What are you going to do with that?" "Relax. This is a low power audio round that will make a small field around a given and set space and will emit a frequency of--" "Simple words please." "Right...This is going to make a loud noise that will wake her up. It won't hurt her." Then she pulled the trigger. It made a bubble around Alan's head and then a muffled boom was heard. Though, to Alan, it was more like standing next to a cannon while it fired without earplugs. |
| Alan jerks up and screams terrified. |
| "Oh Alan" ALexi says. "Nice of you to join us." Zaine was down by her side. "Are you alright?" Cyn stifles a laugh. |
| Alan shakes vigourously trying to forget about that awful noise. 'W-What was that?!?!?!?" |
| "That was the sound of Thaninx Cannon going off." Alexi said matter-of-factly. "It's good that you're up. We have things to do." Zaine stays there next to Alan, though his face has now become red again. |
| Alan looks up at her "Very...well" she takes a deep breath and looks to Zaine. "Are you alright, Zaine? You seem to have a fever." She puts her hand up to his forehead. |
| Zaine smiles, embarrased. "I don't have a fever. I'll be fine." "Whenever you're ready to go Alan," Alexi says, "I'll be outside." She walks out of the room. Cyn follows her silently. |
| Alan stands up and picks up her clothes. "Are you sure your alright?" |
| Zaine nods. "Yeah, I'm fine." He's looking over her head, at the point in the wall where the ceiling meets the wall. |
| Alan slips her clothes on over her naked body and smiles at him. "Very, well." |
| Zaine looks down at her once she is clothed, and the red starts to fade from his face. "Shall we go?" He leads her out of the room. |
| "We shall." She smiles and walks out with him. |
| They regroup in the hall. "Now there's only one problem." Alexi said. "Let me guess," Cyn says, "we need Brink don't we?" "Yeah." "Why?" "Shhh. Cyn. Shhh." |
| A voice comes up behind them. "Something wrong?" |
| Alexi nearly jumped out of her skin. At least she didn't make a sound. Cyn shoots her a questioning glance, as does Zaine. |
| Brink looks at them. "What?" |
| "Nothing." Cyn says. He watches Alexi carefully. (Something happened...) "You ready to go?" Zaine asks. |
| Alan nods "Mmhmm" "Very well, lead the way." Brink awaits his duty Alan walks them through the city. People are all around them the deeper they go and more and more water, obviously. They stop right at the end of the market. There is a huge building even bigger than the temple. It is white with pillars that seem to resemble tanks. The rest of the building is covered in lively green vines. |
| "Whioa" Cyn says awestruck. Alexi gives him a sharp look. "Don't swear Cyn." Zaine whistles. "That is some impressive structure...What are the pillars made of? Some kind of stone?" |
| (Noooooooooo Reynold's Wrap -.-) Alan nods "This building here is maintained by our power. With our power we create our own material. Some unknown." |
| (Reynold's Wrap? What the heck are you talking about? 0.o) Zaine looks at the building with a new-found awe. "That is so cool." |
| (The foil? :p) Alan looks at him cautiously "C-Cool?" |
| (Reynold's Wrap = foil. I knew that already. ... ... ...Wow. I'm dumb. Never mind.) Zaine's enthusiasm doesn't waver. "Yeah!" He walks in front of her and grabs her shoulders. "This is so awesome!" He runs up to a pillar. "If we had architecture like this..." He nods in approval. Alexi has the urge to face palm. "Alan, Zaine is saying that he really likes the pillars. Cool is a word that means good when used in the way he used it just now." Cyn does face palm. (Wow. I didn't know pillars could be so amusing.) |
| (Haha :p) Alan blinks confusedly "Cool..." She lights up in understanding. "So, there is evil and "cool" yes?" She looks to Alexi "Zaine thinks their cool because they have good spirits and are not evil!" |
| (Lol. Did I ever tell you how much I love Alan. Cause I do.) Alexi really wants to face palm. "Not exactly but..." She sighs. "Never mind. Forget I said anything." Cyn chuckles to himself. (That's awesome.) |
| (I know <3) Alan smiles "Shall we move on then?" Brink looks ahead at the building (It looks like a puddle, big f***ing whoop) |
| (My gosh Brink is a dick.) Alexi motions for her to continue. "We're following you." Zaine has already went ahead of them. He's looking around at everything, trying to take it all in and commit it to memory before it vanishes from his mind. |
| (You know you love him ;D He just has nice issues) Alan brings them into a giant lobby area with lots of fountains. Finally they come upon a small window with another young woman smiling politely. |
| Alexi and Cyn stand behind Alan, unsure about what to do. Zaine is walking around the lobby admiring the architecture. He takes a mental note of the layout of the floor as he walks, as he always does when coming to a new place for the first time. |
| The girl looks at Alan and begins to speak. "Ah, Saiin, How may I service you?" "Please show me to the Răspunde, Me and my friends are on buisness for Ea." She smiles excitedly. "Very well." The girl points them to a sitting area of pillows and water bowls on a table. Alan walks over and sits, sipping water from the bowl slowly. |
| Alexi and Cyn follow her to the pillows. Alexi sits down across from Alan, while Cyn remains standing close behind Alexi. Zaine looks confused. "What are these?" He holds up a pillow. "You've never seen one before?" Cyn says incredulously. "It's called a pillow. People use them for comfort." "A pillow?" Zaine squishes it together. "Neat." Cyn shakes his head. "You're supposed to sit on it, not squish it." "Squishing it is comforting so therefore I shall squish it." Zaine says matter-of-factly. Alexi just rolls her eyes and says nothing. |
| Alan gigles intensley "Zaine, be cool, yes?" Brink pushes Cyn aside and sits next to Alexi. "I am so glad you decided to call me for help Alexi, I do enjoy our time we have spent catering to our base. I do hope we can do more so together because we are quite a team." He smiles brightly. |
| (What's this? Brink isn't being a dick!?) Zaine sets the pillow down and sits on the floor. "Alright. I'll be cool." He reaches down and continues to squish the pillow. Cyn is a bit perturbed that Brink just pushed him aside as if he weren't even there. (What's he think he's doing? And what's with that speech? He trying to make a move?) Cyn continues to quietly seethe. Alexi nods to Brink. "I'm glad you came. I've got no experience doing a thing like this anyway. I believe it is in our best interests to work together." (What's he so happy about?) |
| (Never when it comes to Alexi :D) Brink nods in agreement "We definitley are a good team, I actually have great news for you before I go in to talk to "The Rasputin." Alan doesn't even pay attention, she is to busy gawking at Zaine. "Zaine you are so cute with that pillow." She pets his head softly. |
| "Oh yeah?" Alexi says, interested. "What is it?" (What the hell?) Cyn continues to seethe. (Why is she getting all friendly?) Zaine jumps a bit when she pets him. He was completely engrossed in his pillow. "Sorry." He says. "I didn't catch that." He shifts his weight so that he is sitting with one leg folded and one bent so he could rest his arm on top of it. "What's in these...pillows? It feels like something really soft..." |
| (Cyn needs to calm his tits :p) Brink "You all have landed a role as the head ship of the Kavardian Exploration Society. For now on, you will be the ones to go on all the" big missions"." Alan continues petting him. "The inside is made of small stones that are actually water forms. The form to your body but can bounce back at any time." She puts her fingers in a pinching formation and gives an example, squishing it. "They are all placed into a leather pouch and sewn shut with twine." She smiles happily. |
| (As you can see, Cyn is the jealous type.) "Really?" Cyn asks. (Well, this might put a fork in our plan...) Alexi stares at him blankly while his words set in. "What?" Alexi says dumbfounded. (No way...) "We won't have to change ships will we?" Alexi asks, extremely concerned. Zaine looks at eh pillow with new-found curiosity. "Whoa." He squishes the pillow and is delighted to know that the stones will return to their form. "That is so awesome! Man, I wish we had stuff like this on Phanaphos." |
| (Yeah :p) Brink laughs a little. "No, no, no. You will still have the aurora. Just more offical buisness." Alan smiles "I would be more than happy to show you more." |
| Alexi lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness." She smiles at Brink. "Well, this is good news then!" Zaine smiles at her. "Please do." |
| Alan smiles and her gem glows a teal. "Later, just you and me." Suddenly the girl pipes in from the window. "Proceed into his office, Saiin." Alan nods to everyone. |
| Alexi gets up to follow Alan. Cyn does the same. Zaine takes a mournful look at his pillow before getting up to follow the others. (I will be back for you Squishy!) |
| The Răspunde sits in his chair doing paper work. Alan walks in and bows. "Ah, Saiin Mali. Do proceed." he smiles and waves everyone in. |
| Alexi and the others file into the room. Alexi and Cyn to Alan's right, Zaine to her left; all three are a step behind Alan. (I hope this goes well...) Alexi thinks. |
| Brink stands behind them all with his tallness. Alan smiles and goes up to his desk. "Opus opem magna legatus. Populi scitis Kavarda elit dejectum. Possumus nisi nobis auxilio esse puto. Nos potest tueri nostra." Alan points to Brink "Hoc homo est officialis Kavarda et posset auxilium concilianda." (Basic asking of help and mentioning Brink is of Kavarda and an official) Răspunde ponders for a minute and looks to Brink. "Relinquere nos" (Leave us) Alan turns to everyone. "He would like a word with Brink alone. We better go." |
| (Figured that was how it was going to go down...) Alexi nods, slightly irritated, and leaves the room. Cyn and Zaine follow her. Cyn shares her irritation, though he's a bit more vocal about it than Alexi. "We come all the way over here, and we aren't even going to be in the room while they talk about it?" Cyn says. "What a waste of our time..." "Don't say that Cyn." Alexi says."This is usually how these things go. It's just like those stupid meetings the captains have on Kavarda. Except that this is way more important." Zaine says nothing, as he doesn't particularly care about anything other than getting back to Squishy at the moment. |
