| I really do like the aspect of time in this anime. When big events happen, they occupy the minds of the populace, but given enough time, people will lose attachment and eventually forget the finer details, only retaining what information remains, regardless if they were true or embellished. There isn't necessarily any malice or ill-intent associated with that loss of information, it's just the transfer of information from generation to generation losing those details. It kind of reminds me of an extended telephone game, where eventually any original message is naturally lost. 80 years is four generations, long enough for the world to become unrecognizable. All people can do in the present is ensure important messages are passed down the line, but even then, it's up to the successive generations to keep that effort up. Stories, legends, and lessons learned are as important as their keepers make them out to be. |

| It’s kind of strange that more people in the town didn’t recognise Frieren, considering there’s literally a statue of her and the rest of the party right in the middle of town. Elves aren’t exactly common, so you’d think she’d stand out a bit more. And this demon… yeah, they’re absolutely going to regret picking a fight with Frieren. |
