Will give this a couple more episodes but, so far, it's deadly boring.

Hoping it will improve once they leave the prison. Otherwise it will be a drop. Sadly. As the premise is interesting. The execution? Not so much.

Wonder if it's more interesting if you've already read the manga?

A great follow-up to the premiere!

The idea of participants fighting amongst each other to be qualified for the main event isn't new, but it worked perfectly, here, especially with such a cast of wretched characters. I liked that Gabimaru asked for it to stop, though I didn't expect it to work.

What we learned of Sagiri's past was very interesting! I hope we get to see more of her childhood.

The setup for us finding out who his wife is and his past is amazing, and the way it helps us see Gabi's motivation drives the plot forward to extents not commonly explored

This plot makes no sense.

The initial idea made sense. Having lost multiple expeditions, they decide to send highly skilled but "expendable" convicts as the next group. Fine. Great. But then they send the Asaemon clan with them, which immediately ruins the entire point of this plan, which is to only risk losing expendable convicts.

It took them literally only a single episode to forget the primary premise of the story they created.

Jigokuraku is one of those anime that isn't for everyone and it definetly starts stronger than it ends. I really hated to see the memory cliche towards the last episodes of the season. But none the less i am excited to see more and really liked the art style and story. Also a great intro.

Whole episode basically about the girl trying to overcome her challenge against beheading criminals and a free for all between the prisoners.The emperor/king guy (I forgot, i know he was leader) was kinda crazy with him getting all excited and happy to watch the free for all. The plot kinda caried along a bit too much but its alr. I'll give it a 4/5 episode, better than the first one.

Pretty good episode to further emphasis his changed ways from how people view his reputation but kinda getting a nice little relationship the female shogunate will pursue with Gabimaru to improver her killing
