Icarus was slightly embarrassed that he hadn't noticed something as obvious as the boots not being able to fit Jack. Sun seemed to be happy about entering the house and talking to their new roommates. So, the library wasn't totally necessary at the moment. Icarus responded to Jack/Leonidas first about the boots.

[color=gold]"Well, luckily for us, it seems we don't need to go anywhere immediately, now that we've got the whole team together."[/color]

Icarus went inside the house. Sun was there with his Nimbus, and had asked if they should train. But training would be odd right now. None of them even knew each other. Icarus made eye contact with Sun before replying.

[color=gold]"We should probably get to know each other first before training. But, it is a nice idea to do that at some point, since we'll have to fight eventually."[/color]

The student named Lance was quite noticably lacking a hand. His hand was made of metal. But, Sun had already asked, so Icarus just refrained from saying anything about it. He did want to know one thing, though. Just what did he mean by god-like? Had the strange looking weapon been forged by Hephaestus or blessed by another god?
[color=gold]"Hello, Lance. I was wondering something. Just what do you mean by god-like? Was it forged by Hephaestus? Also, I have to say it looks awfully strange. I've never seen a weapon like that before."[/color]

While Icarus had an instinctive knowledge of the very important things he absolutely needed to know about the modern world from his summoning like airplane travel, more obscure details like modern weaponry were left out.

Lance gets out his double-barrel shotgun out of his back holster which was laying right beside him. "I'm talking about this baby right here." said Lance holding his shotgun out so the newcomers can see this modern device that is very newly to them. "Well you could say these days what technology humans make now will look like it was impossible to be made." replied Lance to Icarus's response. Lance then notices the tail and the cloud that Sun is standing on and question's "How in the world do you have a monkey's tail and small cloud to sit on?".

Icarus was also curious about the odd-looking weapon. It wasn't a sword, axe, spear, or a bow. The other weapon he could understand:it looked like a saw, which he had seen already, as Daedalus had invented the saw in his lifetime. But saws weren't weapons...some new innovation had changed this one.

The odd-looking weapon(shotgun) looked completely useless. Hopefully, Sun could get an explanation. Icarus wouldn't interrupt for now, since those two were still busy talking.

Icarus was surprised that Sun would just fly off like he had. He had forgotten his boots. He wasn't going to just pretend it hadn't happened. Icarus decided to say something.

[color=gold]"Well, that was odd. He forgot his boots. Lance, if you can't show it, you could at least describe how it works. Is it a weapon for melee combat or ranged attack? How does it become that deadly?"[/color]

This weapon was interesting. It still didn't seem like a weapon at the moment to Icarus. It was just some kind of hollow stick with a handle that didn't seem to be anywhere near as good as a sword, spear, axe, or bow.

Icarus listened to Lance's explanation, but he still didn't understand. Was it like a spear?For Icarus, the spear was the best example he had of a melee weapon that could be ranged, since it was mostly for melee, but could be thrown as well. However, the design of this weapon wasn't suited for throwing. He would ask further, even if it was supposed to be obvious.

[color=gold]"I have no clue why he left. This odd weapon of yours:is it something like a spear? They can be thrown as well as used for close combat. I can better understand your other weapon. It looks like a saw. However, as far as I know, swords are much better at cutting than saws."[/color]

Icarus was interested in how different modern weaponry was. As far as he could tell, it seemed inferior.

"Is used for knocking someone unconscious or can possibly kill them due to if the neck cracks." added Lance then noticing what Icarus said about his chainsaw. Icarus essentially understood the mechanics he described for how the odd weapon could be used to crack a neck. He wanted to know more about what the ranged component.

Icarus was getting annoyed. Lance just wouldn't actually show what the weapons did. His explanation wasn't very helpful at all. Having a slightly annoyed tone, Icarus tried to get a good answer out of him.

From how how Icarus got annoyed, Lance started to get annoyed too then whips out his shotgun and stands up. He rolls the shotgun around like a gunslinger and fires it in a wall between the group with his left hand holding it while a big loud boom goes off. He rolls the shotgun around again and blows the top off of the barrels that was streaming with smoke. "This is my boomstick." said Lance to Icarus.

Icarus was at first alarmed. Lance was aiming the weapon pretty close to him. So, he kept his distance, moving a bit to the right as Lance pushed a trigger on it. Some kind of metal projectiles came out of it, also making a loud sound. He had to blow smoke off the top afterwards. It was definitely some kind of complicated machinery that made this all work. Icarus hadn't paid much attention to his father's attempts to school him in engineering, so he was pretty clueless about how it worked, but now basically understood the effect. Slightly hesitant, Icarus replied to his statement about the weapon.

[color=gold]"Well....it really does seem to work. At first, I thought it was a bad weapon, but it actually is pretty nice. Speaking of weapons, I should probably buy one, but I wasn't summoned with any money. I'll just have to go with my fists for now."[/color]

Daedalus and [color=gold]Icarus[/color]

Daedalus thought of a few things as he walked towards the appropriate house. He knew who was supposed to be there from what he had been told pre-summoning, although many of their actual identities other than the names were unknown to him. The inhabitants were Jack Albent, Sun Wukong, Lance, Jack Sparrow, himself, and, of course, his idiotic son, Icarus. Opening the door, he could confirm that Icarus really was there. Judging from the way he was acting around another person, the impact marks on the wall, and the aimed smoking weapon, something was obvious, and Daedalus pointed it out.

[color=silver]"So, you've gotten in a fight already, son?"[/color]

For a moment, Icarus was silent, having a hard time believing that this was really his father due to his young appearance, but it wasn't hard to figure out. Then, Icarus tried to explain that this wasn't really the case.

[color=gold]"No, we weren't actually fighti-"[/color]

He was quickly cut off by Daedalus. The relationship between the two wasn't the best father-son relationship out there:Daedalus was always busy working on some project, while Icarus was more interested in having fun. So, naturally, there was some left-over tension between the two. Daedalus had a slightly rising volume throughout his next statement, which was getting Icarus worried.

[color=silver]"You know that kind of lying doesn't work on me. I can see those little holes in the wall just as well as you can. Now, as for that fight you probably started...."[/color]

At this point, Icarus was almost terrified. Just what kind of punishment was his grumpy old man building up to?

[color=silver]"...good for you!"[/color]

Daedalus was now laughing. Did his son really think he'd be punished for fighting? He decided to explain for Icarus and any others who were as simple-minded as him. Icarus was very confused, which was obvious on his facial expression.

[color=silver]"This island is here for you to fight and train for saving the world. Of course you're not going to be punished for fighting! But, as for me, I won't be fighting directly with anyone. I have bigger plans. This blueprint is for a fortress. With a ritual, and the proper materials, I can create it, but it will take time and a lot of effort to get the right materials. However, if finished, I believe it will be very helpful in defending the island against those dark gods and demons who would attack. Not to mention, the reputation of our house will skyrocket to be unquestionably the best."[/color]

Daedalus opened his suitcase and laid out a blueprint on the floor. It described the building layout of a large fortress. (This can be viewed in his Additional Information)

For now, he waited to see how others would react to this idea.

Seeing what just happened, Lance sat there in awkward silence seeing what was going and hearing his plan about dark entities and demons he stopped him on the plan saying "Woah woah woah slow down, there can't be a possible demonic presence coming to this school I mean c'mon were just students here who aren't harming anything." said Lance laughing at that fact by himself then laughs a bit slowly and awkwardly.

Daedalus and Icarus

Icarus knew this was going to be bad. His father had always been very easily angered by people who were ignorant about something he thought was important. Luckily, he had not said anything himself to seem uninformed.

Daedalus listened to this boy who had a metal weapon in place of an arm. Luckily, Daedalus already know about modern weaponry, as he had been informed pre-summoning while he prepared his fortress blueprints. Ultimately, he decided against modern weaponry, as it just seemed inferior to his designs for mana-based cannons. However, it was still useful for personal use.

The boy had said something which he hadn't really been listening to, trying to analyze just what type of gunpowder was used based on the impacts, but he noticed something. He really didn't know anything about what this school was. Slightly annoyed, Daedalus decided to inform him, holding back his anger so he could get support on his project.

[color=silver]"Do you really think we are all just students here? That most definitely isn't the case. This isn't a school. We aren't here to learn so we can use that knowledge to move on with our lives: we all died. This is a barracks. We are here to fight. Of course we will be attacked at some point. The gods might be able to conceal us from outsiders, but not all of them are on the same side. If they all got along and didn't cause any trouble to humans, we wouldn't have the massive problems that are in the world right now. So, my plan is here so that we don't have to fight personally. If we can get the administration to assist us, we can complete this fortress much more quickly with their funding, and fight off any unfriendly demons or invaders without having to put our own lives on the line as much."[/color]

Daedalus saw that his blueprint wasn't much to either Icarus or the other two. It was pretty complicated with details about the structure that would be hard for non-engineers to understand. Instead, he decided to make it easier. He pulled a ball of golden thread out of his pocket and dropped it onto the blueprint.

[color=silver]"Here. This is what it will look like if we can build it."[/color]

The ball of thread transformed into an orb of light, with a series of lasers creating a scale model of the fortress. First the outlines appeared, and then it was filled in. However, it wasn't solid at all. Meanwhile, as the model was built, Daedalus would seem to be whispering about 4 words of gibberish, although this wouldn't be audible. They were in reality High Speed Divine Words he used for casting, but anyone who wasn't a magus from the Age of Gods wouldn't recognize them as actual words.

Daedalus and Icarus

Daedalus noticed that the Spartan Jack seemed to have a good knowledge of military tactics. Something seemed familiar about him...It was more important to first answer his questions. While six people would be good for the fighting they'd need to do to complete this, it might not be enough. Still, he needed to start somewhere.

[color=silver]"Luckily, for your first question, we won't need to build it by hand or acquire massive quantities of stone. That would take too long. Instead, we need to find a few central pieces which will allow for the creation of the rest. You could call them cornerstones. The god Hephaestus has been interested enough by my idea that he'll create the necessary portals to reach the locations of these cornerstones. The only problem is, they are all guarded by pretty dangerous monsters. It would probably require all six people in this house or more to successfully clear these dungeons, and there is more than one. The ritual would take about two days. Mostly, it would be done by me. The only important thing is that the cornerstones are placed in the appropriate places beforehand, and no one interrupts me for the whole 2 days. For a siege, we could last a long time. It depends on what weapons outsiders have, and how many people are inside. If it is just 20 or less inside, we won't have a problem. The hydroponic farm inside can supply that many for an almost indefinite amount of time. But, if we have to hold more than that, we would eventually need to go out for food. The most dangerous thing for us would be if any heroes summoned by these groups that want to destroy this school have some kind of personal weapon that is good for destroying fortresses. But, we could potentially survive at least one of those. I'm not a military expert, so I'm not sure what the perfect way to use it would be, but I do know it would be pretty helpful in a defense. That reminds me...you seem familiar. A spartan who has some knowledge of military tactics, and the appearance...would you be Leonidas?"[/color]

Daedalus had tried to explain as well as he could. Icarus basically understood what this meant. His father was going to use them all as tools for his plan. It seemed like something he would do. With any luck, this Labryinth wasn't going to be used for bad purposes like the previous one had. Looking at its weaponry, it had the potential to do some serious damage to the school if it was taken over by an enemy.

Daedalus and Icarus

Daedalus frowned. While he was happy to meet Leonidas, Leo's comment had reminded him of something. While he had training himself as a magus in fighting, Icarus, on the other hand, had died young through his stupid desire to go and touch the sun. So, he had very little experience in fighting other than occasional fights he got into, which gave him some decent understanding of hand to hand combat. Daedalus decided to respond about himself first, to start with good news. It would be better to demonstrate than to only talk.

"I do have combat training, but not as a warrior. I'm pretty decently skilled in the art of magecraft for combat:however, since magic was much more common in my day, in terms of modern mages, I'm one of the best out there, compared to normal humans that haven't been brought back as a Heroic Spirit. I'll just demonstrate instead of talking about it."

The holographic construct of the fortress dissapeared, with the light beam quickly retracing its path back to the orb of light it had come from in less than a second. After a single inaudible divine word from him, it switched forms, and fired a high-heat and high speed beam. Daedalus curved it around multiple locations in the room, demonstrating its ability to move rapidly and turn rapidly mid-flight. The only thing missing was a target to hit. After half a minute or so of demonstration, Daedalus dispersed the beam and reverted the ball of light to its normal form.

[color=silver]"I couldn't exactly hit just hit one of you with it, but you can trust me that it would really hurt to be hit by that beam. I find the trail left behind especially useful, since it can restrict an enemy's freedom of movement. My son, on the other hand, died young, so he doesn't have much training in combat. Perhaps you could give him a quick boot camp?"[/color]

Icarus was upset. His father was speaking for him now as well as showing off. He also needed to be corrected on one thing. He at least had some experience fighting, as his glory-seeking nature had gotten him into fights before.

[color=gold]"I do have some experience in fighting, since I have gotten into fights often. But no, I don't really have any military training."[/color]

Icarus was a bit sad that he didn't really compare to some of the heroes here. With any luck, he could make up for his lack of experience with some help, although he didn't appreciate how his father was trying to control everything like usual.

Icarus was eager to get training from a spartan, no less a king of spartans. His habit of wanting to go high in everything was kicking in again. Sounding a bit excited, Icarus replied, saying:

[color=gold]"Yes, I'd definitely be willing to dedicate myself to training 100%! If not, I wouldn't be much of a hero at all for the world, just flying around and dodging things."[/color]

Daedalus knew he wouldn't learn easily how to fight with a normal weapon. He was more realistic than Icarus. Even with his young body, it would take a while for him to really become skilled at physical combat, and even then, his magecraft would still probably be more helpful, since he had even less experience in fighting normally than Icarus. Daedalus had never been the type to provoke someone into a fight during his youth. He outlined the most likely scenario, assuming he did try to improve his physical skills.

[color=silver]"While I'm not physically an old man anymore, it would still be pretty tough for me to gain the skillset to be a soldier. Icarus has gotten himself into a lot of trouble fighting in his youth, but that never happened with me, so I'm as good as an average civilian for regular fighting. I could eventually learn, which I will attempt, but my strengths seem to be more in magic for now. However, it will definitely be important that I at least learn some kind of fighting skill before we finish this fortress if i ever want to go out into the world and fight, because most of my magical ability will be sealed to use inside of it. In other words, that laser beam would be reduced to being able to maybe slightly burn someone. But until then, it's probably more important for Icarus here than it is for me, since he doesn't have any kind of magical aptitude."[/color]

He turned to Icarus.

Daedalus and Icarus

Daedalus was surprised. Jack hadn't been paying attention. He had just recently said that he was not primarily here for the purpose of combat, but that had just slipped Leo's mind. He also didn't seem to care about his detailed reasons. However, he had better things to do than attempt to explain himself to someone who clearly wasn't listening.

[color=silver]"Yes, I'm not going to dedicate myself to a bootcamp, since as I've already explained once now, I'm mainly here as a builder, not a fighter, along with many other reasons you don't seem to care about. While you two are busy with that, I'm going to meet with the administration to see if I can get support building this, which is inevitably going to be a much more helpful time investment in the long run, so long as we finish it."[/color]

Daedalus picked up the blueprints, returning them to the briefcase, proceeding to pick it up as well.

[color=silver]Son, good luck. You'll need to work hard for once in your life, but I believe you can do it, so long as you don't get distracted like you do whenever I try to teach you anything. I'll be back."[/color]

After his footsteps were a sufficient distance away, Icarus remarked his personal thoughts to Jack.

[color=gold]"He is a bit controlling, which can be annoying. Sure, he's a great builder, but he's not the most likable person. I suppose now would be the best time to start, even if it means getting my ass kicked a few times."[/color]

Icarus left to the courtyard.

Hearing what was going on with the plan and everything, Lance did kinda like the idea of the team. Meanwhile when Leonidas talked about having a boot camp, Lance replied "I'm well trained about fighting and being lethal. So in this project we have going on here, I can be great for you guys fighting off demons, dark entities and what nots." said Lance about how he is in the art of fighting.

I'll eat your ribs and your soul! I'LL EAT THEM UP!

Leonidas left to the courtyard as well. Once he arrived, he began stripping his armor off, leaving him in nothing but a tunic. He had aquired two wooden swords that had been placed in his room as well, and two quarter staffs and two shields. He placed those off to the side, then waited on Icarus.

Icarus got the idea from seeing Leonidas remove his armor, and desummoned his wings. He picked up one of the two wooden swords. Unfortunately, he didn't have much experience using a sword, so he had little technique. Holding it in two hands, he managed to keep it balanced. Icarus decided to ask just what he was going to be taught first.

[color=gold]"So, I suppose I'll be learning how to use a sword. What should I know first?"[/color]

Icarus was eager to at least improve. He wanted to know the basics of sword use. Having a real weapon he knew how to use would help him greatly in actual combat, as he didn't have anything but his wings and his skill at flight for now.
