| This is a disappointing ending to a very long and sometimes interesting, sometimes sad, often boring anime. I liked the Umi Bozu when it was a scary mysterious blob floating toward them, but when after the cliffhanger ending of last episode he's just turned into this goofy little gizmo thing, well that was kind of a disappointment. And what was with Ginji's female form? It's almost like him being a trap, and didn't fit his character at all. The foxboy form would have been much better with those 9 tails. Aoi loves Ginji, but Oodana loves her- and some kind of conclusion to the romance story would have been appreciated but instead they just let it drop there and went nowhere with Oodana and Aoi. They are at exactly the same place in their relationship as they were at the end of the first season. This wasn't a bad anime, I would have not watched it all if it was, but it could have done way more with its story than this and I feel like I wasted my time. To anyone who ends up watching this, I would just say stop at the end of the first season. |
| Welp, Aoi has found her new home. This was way more a fantasy slice of life than a romance. Good world building, bur with limited venues. The animation was often sublimely beautiful and sometimes just blah. The story is not the strongest part, not very compelling, but still good entertainment. |
