| So mediocre. Why is 95% of the cast in this series completely braindead. "The vassal weapons pick their wielders. Only one who is worth can draw this sword." Literally teleports into her fucking hands. "HoW dArE yOu StEaL tHe WeApOn!?!" Also that reunion had zero impact. |
| The editing and pacing in this episode is still on 2x speed. I wouldn't be surprised if they killed Kyo in the 12th episode. Seriously though why did they have a flashback in this episode. First scene: Raphtalia looks to see Diet Kyo going to get the Katana vassal weapon. Second Scene: Future cut of Raphtalia running away from guards no longer surrounded by her new companions. Third Scene: Flashback of Raphtalia getting the vassal weapon, ditching L'arc and friends, and running away. Fourth Scene: Goes back to Raphtalia being worried and starting to grow. The episode would have flowed so much better if the second and third scene were flipped. Literally no reason at all for a flashback, that happened not even a minute ago, to the audience. |

| Like when your prison has thousands of cells but you still decide to lock three heroes and a considerably strong tanuki girl in the same cell... and of course leave it to Raphtalia to save the situation since it seems the idea of using illusion magic to escape never crossed Glass' mind. Shit episode overall. Filled with forced story progression, a couple of ass-pulls, a hella random nude scene and a retarded villain who doesn't understand how vassal weapons work. THEY FUCKING PICK THEIR WIELDER, YOU BRAINDEAD DUMBASS! |

| Thanks to Raphtalia, Glass and the others were able to escape together. But Glass sure is a different person when she is being herself. Now that Raphtalia is the Katana Hero, she's going to get a lot stronger now. |

But the blood is red when Raphtalia kill the Tiger? What am i watching? Then here Naked Raphtalia scene, sure fan would love this Fanservice. Yeahh the reunion feels so empty for sure, episode feel rushed so many events. |

| I feel like L'Arc and friends at this point are such weird characters, like they're just canvases that get their motivations painted over depending on the situation, must destroy world to must help person from that world for contrived and nonsensical reasons. Does anyone really believe that they're supposed to be bad guys anymore despite their blatantly villainous stated goals? Also, if I hear Ost get mentioned one more time I swear I'll drop this show back down from a 4 to a 3. Ost was a nothing character who impacted no one, stop pretending she had any kind of bond with or effect on anyone, and stop having the characters themselves acknowledge her like she actually did anything. She's the Rose Tico of the show, but credit where credit is due at least Ost had the decency to fucking die. |

Also, the BGM having some tunes akin out from a jazz bar definitely went very off, and to wrap things up, a reconciliation that has a resolution, but the payoff was severely lifeless. The Shield Hero has finally reached new lows... ^ I have to really agree with your assessment here. Everything about what was supposed to be a "very emotional moment", from beginning to end... just fell flat. If I had to compare this to an anime that has terrible facial animations, and is STILL CAPTURING THE MOMENT, it would be the events of Otome Game. They are using their music, Voice Actors, and environments to add so much more to the Manga/Light Novel. They are even getting creative with their background imagery to reinforce their moments! - If I had to say which one deserves another season, Otome Game WINS BY MILES. Shield Hero should never have gotten a Season 3 if this was the amount of effort they dedicated to their work. But yeah, everything was pretty much on the dot of how terribad Shield Hero is now, even with Season 3's assurance. And I agree that Otome Game had the better adaptation despite being a worse production overall. If only Shield Hero could get the best of both worlds... |

| Well i still liked this episode. Granted the quality and pace has sort of taken a step back but it still better than most of the episodes from the spirit tortoise arc. The main issue is the mixture of ln material and anime original material didnt quite blend well together this time so it is kind of all over the place as is the pace. But raphtalia being the vassal hero and the katana hero at that fits her so well. Another issue i have is they kind of overdid it with fanservice stuff especially the full naked shot. its made worse when you are literally reminded that just 5 min prior she was still a kid uff way to much overkill on that. Overall till alright but could of better, hopefully next weeks ep goes back to being great again. |

| I'll reiterate this at the end of the season, but I hope that the thrid season is 2-cour. This will hopefully fix any production issues they may have had, and it may stop them from shitting the bed like they did this season. In other news, Raphtalia becoming the Katana Hero is pretty big. |

Vassal heroes can travel between worlds. Cardinal heroes can't. The Cardinal heroes main role is to protect the world they're summoned to, that's why they can't leave it. |

| Thought this would mean the end of Raph being in the group due to her being a Hero (as they cant hop between worlds), but I forgot that restriction only applies to Cardinal Heroes and not the Vassal Heroes Am I supposed to feel anything during their reunion. Where even was the Shikigami used to locate Raph? |

The reunion is way more impactful because she's missing for almost two weeks and we don't know she became a very strong hero. She tells everything after the battle. The anime tries to sell itself by maximizing Raphtalia's screen time meanwhile sacrificing everything else... |
