It really just depends on your personal preference in anime. I’ll be honest, I had to take a break from watching it because the show is so damn depressing…and I’m someone that likes these types of anime (shoot, Shinsekai Yori is probably my favorite anime of all-time).

If you do decide to watch it, really the best thing I can tell you is brace yourself. Take a Murphy’s Law approach to it…hope for the best, expect the worst.

I really enjoyed it - yes its sad, but suffering is part of life and you are able to see what people struggle with and overcome and also how each of us needs a purpose to keep going in our own lives. There is some action, but its more a story of humans and what it means to be human which is a nice break from all the repetitive shonen we get all the time.
