Basically confirmed we're getting some kind of anime project announcement and possibly a trailer to come with it too. People forget that Re:Zero Season 2 was announced in the same event, AnimeJapan.

read somewhere that it was only a booth confirmed at the moment so like no special presentation at all, yet, as more franchises taking part will be announced the 30th
It's not a booth, what was announced was the 150 works that would be at animejapan (booth + stages), 46 of these works will be on the stage. Ice leaked that REZERO would be one of those 46 works on the stage. The "official" stage announcement is on the 30th.

They aren't doing stage plays in AnimeJapan, they are doing stages where the voice actors go on the stage and talk about the anime and any information related to it exactly the same way rezero previously had stages on AnimeJapan which is where the 2nd season was announced believe it or not, on the stage.

The most important thing is that Vol 33 which concludes arc 7 was moved off the usual release schedule to wait for AFTER animejapan is complete and only one volume had this same thing happen in the 33 volumes. This volume was the volume that released after animejapan 2019 where s2 was announced!
Volume 19: March 27th, 2019 (AJ 2019 was March 23-26)
Volume 33: March 29th, 2023 (AJ 2023 is March 25-28)

as a control group:
Re:ZERO WAS in AnimeJapan 2021, however a volume came out March 25th.
Re:ZERO was NOT in AnimeJapan 2022, however a volume came out March 25th.
Every volume besides 19 and 33 were released on the 22nd-25th.

However, we may just get screwed this year. Anything's possible.

Every series in the Red Stage except Re:Zero (unannounced) has an upcoming anime adaptation, Re:Zero S3 is pretty much confirmed.

I wouldn't say s3 is confirmed, but I'd say there is a REALLY high chance that anime content is confirmed, whatever form it may be in.

There is definitely going to be a season 3 guys. There will probably be multiple spinoff anime projects as well.

Ice said it was halted in pre-production December 6th. although I feel as if his leaks were iffy.

This would be a wet dream, I don't see it as a reality. But we will see!

there's a manga adaptation

Manga is behind the anime and will stay that way. It's honestly a good gauge on when we can start to expect season 3. When the manga passes the sanctuary arc.
With the pace the manga is going it will probably be at arc 5 in 2025.

It would feel really bad if they just didn't announce anything new. It would be a great time, but if nothing is in the works then it is was it is I guess. Optimistically looking forward to it.

Rezero & konosuba are kind of a pair
If konosuba got a s3 then rezero would get a s3 as well

I really hope it lead to an s3 annoucement...
If WhiteFox still animates it, I hope that this time the studio is stable and ready to make a complete adaptation of Re:Zero without having to wait 4 years per season.

Overlord now has more anime episodes than RE:ZERO! It's even getting a movie to adapt 2 more volumes maybe in Fall 2023 or Winter 2024! :(

The good news is that Overlord only has 2 volumes ahead of the anime which came out when the anime was airing and there's going to be another 2 coming out maybe in 2025 to wrap the series up so we'll see an end to Overlord animated within this decade!

I am going to give White Fox some credit though, they had to deal with COVID while making season 2 as well as announcing it March of 2019. They lost many key members of their staff as well as the Studio Bind taking even more!

The light novel for arc 5 wasn't completed until June 25, 2019. So regarding planning ahead, let's say they greenlit in March of 2018 or anywhere in 2018. They wouldn't have known when Arc 5 was going to be finished novelizing. So they probably didn't plan ahead. However, this time, they have no excuses, delay wise, or novel wise. Arc 6 was finished December of 2020, Arc 7 is going to be finished in March of 2023! There are no more excuses for 4 year intervals assuming we get a season 3 announcement this upcoming AnimeJapan because I'm going to assume they have the studio situation and staff situation sorted out if it is announced.

If we assume season 3 was greenlit in late 2021 or even March of 2022, they would literally have 2 arcs worth of content to be planned ahead this time.

Where? >.<
Where art thou?
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Is it uncommon for anime studios to work with different producers?

ReZero is not an anime that would be adapted till the end because it is just damn too long…
To be specific, ten double-cour seasons.
So I would say you should go for the novels.

it'd only be around 6 or 7

No, it would be 10+
Arc 1 and 2 were really short, (novels v1-3) and season 1 ended up adapting arc 3 (v4-9) in a rushed manner. Season 2 adapted arc 4 (v10-15) without leaving out much contents from the source material.
The author said that he is planning on having a total of 11 arcs, the 11th being at least twice the length of arc 3
So,
Season 3 - arc 5 (v16-20)
Season 4 - arc 6 (v21-25)
Season 5 - arc 7 (v26-33)
We have v33 coming in March, which is likely going to be the end of arc 7.
For the future arcs, we can expect a similar length as arcs 3-7. So,
Season 6 - arc 8
Season 7 - arc 9
Season 8 - arc 10
Season 9 - arc 11 part 1
Season 10 - arc 11 part 2
@split09 tappei wants his anime series to be more than twice as long as aot, kny, jjk but doesn't have a fraction of the resources of any of those series.

Contrary to what the re zero echochamber likes to say, the writing falls off a cliff after arc 6 and even arc 6 I would not say is the best ln finale ever made. I can name series that did it better.

So they should stop at arc 6 having similiar length to dal, overlord, konosuba. Tensura is an exception because that series is getting milked badly with filler and slow pacing like 1 ln per cour.

Nah arc 6 is peak, and I’m enjoying 7 and 8 too.

@split09 I have heard way too many negative things about arc 7 for me to consider it universally well received. From the spoilers read, I do not think arc 6 will be able to hit at highs of aot or jjk shibuya. By arc 6, tappei would have over done violence for shock factor vs any clever foreshadowing. If arc 4 cannot beat aot, jjk shibuya I doubt arc 6 can. Arc 6 also had a bad start
