| A tournament to see who the strongest first year is, fun idea that will make for some interesting fights, it already did with this episode, but I can also see it being exploited somehow. Anyway, that pompous girl losing to Nanao was expected, she was overconfident against the student that beat Big Bird and paid the price, it was a cool and well animated scene tho. And later was Rossi versus Oliver, and this fight was much more entertaining with it being more of an even match, but Oliver ended up proving he’s better, an expected winner but I still really liked the fight, although it’s funny that Oliver won but was jealous of Rossi’s unique fighting style, I can understand that but if ain’t broke, don’t fix it, if the book works then use it lol. And I came around on Rossi’s character, he was an asshole at first that seemed to be picking fights for no reason, but his comment to Pete about getting stronger and later seeing his interaction with Oliver made me like him, he’s an asshole but a respectable one lol, I just hope he doesn’t die to this guy that decided to take him on right after his loss to Oliver. Also nice to see Ophelia again, no monsters were birthed out of her mouth down south this time lol, her short bit with Oliver was nice. And the last bit with Carste was cute, so she is capable of emoting, that level of devotion to Oliver is kinda sus tho. |
