| I've recently come accross this title and was looking forward to see this adaptation. I expected an opening with more melancholic vibes, but I am glad Yoasobi performing it. As expected, this is a slow-paced, deep show oriented to catharsis with a compelling storytelling. Love this kind of stuff, this is a good candidate to be the AOTS and one of the best of 2023. |

| The best part of the anime is the orchestra soundtracks which make the whole fantasy scenes more epic instead of relaxing just like after you just finished the last boss battle lol. Too bad we don't get to see how the crew fight the king and damn that was basically two time skips in the first episode. The members would probably killed off one by one by old age without getting to know them better. I bet the story of when the crew are chosen to venture a 10 year journey against the demon is so much more interesting and definitely make the whole aging scenes much more impactful. I think Frieren is meditating because she got nothing to do haha. Anyway, I still pretty skeptical of this type of fantasy story tbh. It's kinda remind me of the similar hype as Fumetsu no Atane 2 years ago which also featuring a long age/ immortal main character. Not particularly impressed with the characters or story so far but I can tell the music is great. |

| Just from the first episode it got me into tears, this was soo soo amazing, the animation, the scenery, the acting, the music, EVERYTHING was amazing, this is probably my AOTY. This is amazing show. |
| It was ok I guess? Quite boring 1st episode tbh, hope it's just a slowburn. And holy shit Yoasobi is a terrible choice for an op of such title. That was the most forgettable op song of this year |
| Came into this blind and enjoyed it quite a bit. Lovely art and animation and dare I say kind of an old school fantasy vibe without cringey otaku-centric vibes. The theme of outliving people resonates with me and reminds me quite a bit of the tales of elven/human love in Tolkien's work. About the only thing I didn't like was the OP. Not a good fit for the tone of the show in my opinion. But that's a tiny thing that can always be skipped at the click of a button. |

| I knew nothing about the manga but decided to watch since everyone was hyping it up, and wow what a beautiful first episode. Evan Call's music just always makes me emotional |

| What a stunning first episode. Held off reading the manga when i saw this was announced and glad i did. The opening and Ending are great, sure the Opening doesn't fit all that well but the ending sure does. |

| Now this is how you do a premiere absolutely brilliant. Keiichiro Saito & the Fukushi team at Madhouse spared no expensive to make this first episode riveting & full of emotion. This is what the standard for any anime should be not the outlier. So many useless pointless show made every season, more show need to take ques from this. These are the kind of episodes that make anime special. |
| I don't know if I'm just emotionally sensitive today or if this anime is so powerful that it made me want to cry just by watching the first episode (which hasn't happened to me since Fumetsu no Anata e). It was magnificent, and I'll definitely enjoy following this anime during this season. |

| This was one of my most anticipated animes for the fall season and gotta say it was incredible. From the animation and directing to the pacing and the soundtrack, it was perfect. |

| In this episode, I liked the story pacing, animation and overall vibes also the city reminded me of Mondstadt region (Genshin impact). |

| Well that was a really well done first episode, Really loving this. Feels so laidback and chill. The opening is an absolute banger too, Ed is nice aswell. |

| Finally a fantasy with a more deep plot: time, death, the relationship with our loved ones, the regret about giving things for granted till it's too late, the research for immortality etc. I'm looking forward for the next episodes. |
