| Perfect ep The gang has finally assembled after 8 eps :) Ah yes, the aquarium date is finally here. Rintaro and Kaoruko really ptso, they making me so happy. Fly couple for sure 😎 Calm date Little girl throwing the most elite lob to Rintaro. And at this moment, he realized that he loved her. While there was a frame that wasn't there, it was fine ig. There was also sum changes, which very interesting in direction, but are always welcome. Tho, this ep adapted 17-19. 10/10 |

| Binged 8 episodes over the weekend because our friend @aurora_yuuki dragged me here~ I will list my thoughts on all 8 episodes here. Disclosure: I have not read the manga, I have only watched the anime because our friend dragged me here. I mainly read light novels, not watch anime nowadays. I am a sci-fi fan, and romance is not my main genre. Hence, my thoughts might be different from other MAL users~ Synopsis is straightforward, a private school beside a public school. I live in Asia so I know the difference between private school, and public school are the following: Private schools are usually the rich, children of rich families. The students there are usually better at academics, well-disciplined, BUT they tend to lack social skills, especially when interacting with commoners. Private schools are usually located in the upper-class neighbourhoods. Public schools are meant for commoners, less disciplined but tend to be more adventurous and better social skills. Usually located at lower-class neighbourhoods. University is when students from public schools and private schools mixed. A very huge difference between them. They struggle to get along unless there is a mediator. I think the anime depicts the situation very well for this case. However, I have never seen a private school beside a public school. The elite school and commoner school difference trope is also not entirely new. Some other romance novels have done these such as Takane No Hana and Villainess Fiancee. But I believe this show depicts it quite well as compared to these two romance light novels. Now to the characters, female lead, Kaoruko is commoner but enrolled in private schools through scholarship. In most cases, these types of students can get along with students from public schools and private schools. To think of it, Kaoruko reminds me of Ichijo Ai from Life Reversal. Their personalities are similar, able to detect that the male lead is a kind person with little interactions. The only difference is that Ai is willing to manipulate people to stop bullying and suicides while Kaoruko is bubblier. The male lead, Rintarou, a tall delinquent. Is he really 6 ft 3? I am 6 ft 3 too, pretty sure he will not have that huge of a height difference with Kaoruko, unless she is shorter that 5 ft. Oh wait, Kaoruko is 4 ft 10. XD I don't understand why he has ear piercings and dyed hair, does that make him look scarier? The other 3 boys are interesting, remind me of my classmates, since I came from a public school, adventurous but still kind and trust each other. Karoke is not part of our culture, we usually just play basketball with one another and have laughs~ I was quite hesitant to watch this because of character designs of Subaru. Based on my past experience reading romance light novels. Silver hair Blue eyes = Foreign heroine. I have seen enough foreign heroines for now~ Now to the romance, this romance story is a mixture of Ice Princess and another romance novel I don't remember the title (because the title is too long for me to remember). Not entirely new. I dislike Ice Princess because I am tired of all these copied-and-pasted silver-haired blue-eyed foreign heroines. The drama is straightforward, Kaoruko cannot be seen by her teachers, or she might lose her scholarship. Not a fan of this trope. No family drama as of now. I will stick to another romance novel if I want to read family drama. The aquarium date reminds me of the date in Kano Dere. The difference is that in Kano Dere, the little child is terrified by the Polish heroine's silver hair. XD I have not decided if I should finish the anime, read the manga or drop the series. Apologies for using non-mainstream romance light novels as reference, I am more of a LN reader, but romance is not my genre~ Alright, back to reading TS Medic Battleground Diary, hopefully I don't get dragged around by anyone~ |

| Mika quickly realizing that Rintarou was the opposite of a scary guy was already really sweet, but her little secret message to him before leaving had my face hurt from smiling like crazy. Also, while the dolphin show was the clear highlight animation-wise, what I can't get over most is how tasty they made that hot dog look. Probably shouldn't have watched this while hungry.  |

| Perfect episode. Rintarō’s Chidori friends, Saku, Ayato, and Shouhei, have become friends with Rintarō’s Kikyo friends, Kaoruko and Subaru. Furthermore, we finally got the first date between the main characters, Rintarō and Kaoruko, and it was splendid. No complaints whatsoever. |
| Visually, very pretty episode and well-animated (especially with the fish and the dolphin performance and moments near the end), probably the best the series has looked so far. The stuff happening in the episode was pretty damn cheesy to say the least (even with the gimmick of a child being lost and the couple acting together to help them out). But I would still say this episode was mostly good and had its charm for sure from Kaoruko and Subaru meeting up with Rintaro's friends, to the aquarium date for most of it. |
| Glad finally they made up, sorry but the reactions tho... Kaoruko & Usami-😄😄 Rintaro-😐 Ayato, Saku, Subaru-🙁🙁🙁 Without Usami it would have been way more awkward. But Subaru showed good character to own up her mistake and Saku aswell. So when are these two starting to bang? Can't help but notice Kaoruko thrusting for Subaru's snack😭😭 Lost child gimmick wooooow.. Thanks to that oversmart girl and way too cute Kaoruko smile and looks Rinato understand his feelings (maybe?) |

| Date time! Though Rintaro won't admit it's a date, just a thank you to Kaoruko for helping him study. Rintaro's friends also got to meet with Kaoruko and Subaru, who apologised to them. Looks like they'll all get along. But the main part of this episode was the trip to the aquarium. It was definitely a date. This episode was all smiles from me. Rintaro's finally coming to terms about his feelings for Kaoruko. This show is so innocent and wholesome. It's pure happiness to watch it. |

| this anime is too good way too good, definitely the best romance this season, but this anime need to recognized dude this is not just a romance anime there are a lot of other things that is good about this anime dude the animation the character the world even the world feels immersive it feels real with all the minor side character like the lost girl in this episode, the two girl who want to thank rintaro for giving his seat a couple episode ego, and the little boy who subaru and rintaro help a episode ago that appear twice even, every little thing about this anime is so good, and of course rintaro finally in fell in love or realize hes in love, i love how he realize that is because of one little girl that talk to him about her crush, and subaru character development in this episode is just peak i hope just began to open up even more, i love the little push kaoruko give to subaru when shouhei ask subaru as well so cute, shouhei is also really cool this episode always love his honesty but this episode really shows that, the way he said to subaru immediately after she said "because i'm from kikyo" is so wholesome, god everything about it is so wholesome man this anime is great need more people to know it |

| "i cant avert my eyes of these feelings which are so vivid and strong" This is my favorite episode so far tbh. Starting off with a friendly patchup meeting with subaru and rintaros friends. Subaru honestly and properly apologizing to them giving her clear thoughts was good to see, the bonus rare sweets offering was wholesome as well. Subaru finally letting go off the early judgemental habit & learning to take time knowing people all thanks to kaorukus push & shes grateful for that. Also loved seeing the boys being forgiving,friendly towards her apology as well, the sweets won their hearts the most tbh lol . Most surprising was sakus apology which was sweet and simple, even the boys were staring with their jaw dropped. xD But anyways alls well that ends well. Subaru finally made some male friends and opening up slowly & hope she gets to have some wholesome healing experience with it like waguri wanted for her.  Coming to the surprise date which started with Kaoruko asking rintaro for a "outing" as a thank you for helping with studies since he wanted to reciprocate it to her. Nice gesture by our sweet boy. They decide to go on a aquarium keeping it classic and simple which i like. The date went really well. Loved all the conversations they had. The contrast with how rintaro used to just go for the cool big fishes to now enjoying every little thing present in the aquarium, the little changes and details are nice. Kaoruko asking him to share details about everything while they eat & rintaro agreeing while being shy is such a couple thing to do ahh i was just smiling from end to end. Then it became more sweet with her scrolling through their pictures together and calling it her "Treasure" Ahh my heart <3 meanwhile rintaro in the washroom having butterflies recalling kaoruko smile & cuteness while pondering if the date is going well. Ahh you sweet innocent boy. Kaoruko then rescues a lost child called mika. She makes up a cute name for rintaro "rin chan" which was funny and adorable :3 While waiting for kaoruko to get her parents, rintaro & mike have a little wholesome chat. Love how mika called out the obvious "Date" with our two leads which rintaro embarssingly tried to deny. xD But the most important part which made me love further was how mika made a parallel between her & her crush to rintaro and kaoruko, the happiness which comes from watching the one you love smile. Which finally clicked and i guess started that mind process in our boy & questioning himself. Thank you mika you did a great service for us. Also  ONE OF US! ONE OF US! LETS goo we found another fellow brethren. The dolphin show finally starts and the animation change was noticeable and amazing. Great job by Cloverworks Kaoruku giving that little thank you compliment for rintaro since she wasnt expecting anything in return for helping him, but rintaro still going out of his way to do it made her so happy. That was the final straw and the dam called feelings broke loose for our boy. He finally confessed (even though internally) his feelings for the beautiful kind girl infront of him with some really heartwarming honest words.  The scenery with the soft and warm colors, the music, the vibe everything was to perfection. Made the confession even more endearing and enjoyable. Now with that major confession finally out lets see how things start panning out between our lovable goofballs. Really excited for next episode. |
