@holdingnothing I'm aware that Shin wasn't ever able to read Shinaya's mind due to him being asleep, which is why I said that Shin was reading Joichiro's mind and/or using his experience to react to Shinaya/Gaku's attacks.
@KingBaller06 And he had to use the super technique, because he'd have to get the directions ahead of time, Kaji unable to convey it like Sakamoto...which is weird, because it was darn near the same, Sakamoto just has more experience and can read movements easier, but also, this guy can't really be analyzed the same way, Kaji's super hearing is Daredevil levels practically. Or King Snake from DC Comics, not sure if there's anyone on the level of Daredevil where they're also blind, Kaji not quite at that level

@Koolyaroo man I want a studio change after this cour
@SoulReaper85 me too man... me too

But I doubt it will happen, TMS just never seems to let go of anything, they're still doing Baki, Dr. Stone, and whatever else no matter how much people complained in the first season...

however

I'm not THAT worried because yes while Baki and dr stone were bad in the beginning, they've become pretty alright at this point and I'd argue Sakadays Season 1 is WAY WAY better than those other show's starts (Baki especially used to be god awful XD). So there's nowhere to go but up from here.

tbh im just being positive because the season 2 material is my fav and if they ruin that I'll seriously drop anime as a medium altogether lmaoo

I don't know if the animation for this episode would be considered inferior to the manga but I loved it. There was not even a single dull moment.

now that's what you call action!
as expected gaku did break the limit of the host body but damn it still kept up enough to beat shin and kaji. but not enough for fat sakamoto.
all of sakamoto's techniques in this fight were fucking epic. lol

Shin's group did their best, but Gaku is too op. Kaji honestly impressed me in this episode.

Sakamoto taking over and defeating Gaku on that plane was so much fun to watch. I had fun with this episode.

@TheColonel76 Ironically, I think he's not too bad off, he feels like Suzuki could've brought him back, but what we learn makes that less likely, since he's not really involved in the assassin world, Kashima's ad just pulled him in. I feel like whatever Kashima did to him made it so he's more resistant in general, though Gaku "breaking" him has me wonder what it was exactly. Seemed like maybe he partly dislocated his shoulders or something else involving that area.
@holdingnothing Yeah they mentioned Shinaya was basically some rando off the streets that could withstand Gaku’s moves, so I don’t doubt that he’s not relevant again after this, I mean we didn’t even know him as an actual character after all lol.

The last move by Sakamoto was one of the best things I have seen in awhile. Bloody awesome.

Damn... the ping was really affecting Gaku's performance. But it was so much fun even with all that. I'm enjoying this so much. One-sided fights, but our guys trying their best against their opponents until Sakamoto does his thing in the end. Truly, a scary assassin, the Legendary Sakamoto Taro. Shin and Kaji did their best against remote Gaku tbh. Very enjoyable.

Shin and Kaji would be an unstoppable duo if they can totally in sync, but I suppose that isn't possible right away. Shin and Gaku's reaction to Kaji flubbing his line made me laugh way harder than it should've.

Two or three amusing moments involving the body control at distance and "don't you dare criticize my 2000's hit songs collection" but i wasn't too excited for the rest. i knew Shin couldn't face the risk of death like he did so easily. So many main characters from season 1 have been basically demoted to extras or disappeared and i almost feel as i lost interest in the series to a similar level with Full Metal Panic years ago when it just focused on mecha and action and completely dropped the comedy / slice of life parts. Not actually so bad to drop it altogether, but i think... just one more episode for me and that will be it.

Use a VPN and set your location to Japan. The english subs and dub are both out a week early in Japan along with the raw of course. :)

The soundtrack composed by Yuki Hayashi is on fire, he never disappointed me in delivering what I want to hear when I want to hear. His only challenge is to how to make a good soundtrack without sounding too similar to his magnum opus aka My Hero Academia, and I think he successfully did that in Sakamoto.

I think this episode actually highlight how Gaku can fight with so many compromises, 0.5 second lagging time is already very bad for online game, let alone for assassination, small area, fight while swimming when he's not actually in the water, etc. In short, he's good enough to be the big boss, or at least one of them.

Yuki hayashi goated way harder in Haikyuu as well. agreed 👍🏻

This anime has such great casting like the only ones missing are Ishikawa Kaito, mamoru miyano & yuichi Nakamura...I hope they get castes as other order members or goat hitmen.

Sakamoto save the day again..... Yeah... It is Sakamoto days after all.
So.... that one examiner just watching them fight? I pretty sure he is still fine....
I think, this fight isn't great at all... Shin VS Mafuyu is still better.

This is going to sound stupid because I’m not sure how to put it but that battle between the psychic reader and the VR headset guy was peak animation. From the lighting, art-style, camera angles, movement of their legs and fists while trading blows, and inner monologue happening, I mean the list goes on and on but basically what I’m trying to say is that this gave me real goosebumps watching those two duel it out! I hope we get more peak animation like this, if so I cannot wait for season 3~ (hopefully!🙏😭)

I would say I enjoyed this part more overall than part 1. I remember there were really good scenes in part 1 but I really enjoyed this exam arc as well as all the new characters that were introduced. I loved Akira; she was so cute and also really strong when she got serious. Mafuyu was really cool and his fighting style is sick but it's sad the next time we see him he will be a villain. Same goes for Nao; I thought her fan-girling was cute even though at the end she was questioning if she was a fake fan or not. She was really strong as well. She will also become a villain but I can already tell Sakamoto will bring her back to her senses in the end and she will have a new keychain of fat Sakamoto and maybe even Shin! Looking forward to season 2!

Goblin Slayer? Is that you?

Random vehicle parts just might be my favorite category of stuff Sakamoto weaponizes on a whim. Watching him rev up those plane landing wheels was as hype as when he grabbed that train handrail bar in the first four lol

Oh yes Sakamoto's airplane-wing-launch-landing-wheel-hammer-combo takedown was glorious.

So big-beer-belly-dad-bod non-prime Sakamoto claps 0.5 second lag Gaku, easily. Although 0.5 second is actually kind of an ETERNITY in hand-to-hand combat, especially with anime characters moving at the speed of lightning. Either they meant to make the delay something like 0.05 seconds instead, or that Gaku is still that strong with half-second lag inputs AND controlling another dude's (hope bro is okay, he was probably just trying to make a quick buck) body. Fight might've been way closer if it was actually Gaku up against Sakamoto. Although I think the legendary ex-Order member Sakamoto takes that fight still, low-diff.

And just like that there's one episode left and the 2nd season is already over. Would've liked more, but am glad we did at least get one confrontation between Sakamoto and Slur.
