| Good ep Quite surprised that Xylo likes to read. Looks like Kivia has a soft side as well. Kivia feeling more guilty abt her actions is a good step in the direction of her character. Damn, so goddess have ranks and sadly Teoritta is at the lowest. They must really not know the true definition of useless. The Temple got WAY TOO MUCH power to just force the very heroes that saved you from time to time, to just die by a suicide mission. Venetim just made me love his lax character much more. Wdym he almost saved the world just by assuming that there were "spies" in the kingdom and now he;s actually being punished for "luckily" getting it right. Tho, him being so convincing is pretty cool and obvious. Cool intro of Tsav 9/10 |

| Damn so Venetim accidentally hit the nail on the head regarding a big world secret, which was what got him sentenced to be a hero, imagine being such a good liar that you do something like that lol, unfortunate for him, but he’s a good asset to have on Xylo’s team, he got the necessary adjustments made to this suicide mission and now they may stand a chance against this new demon lord with regenerative abilities, including getting another hero on the scene, being Tsav, we saw only a little bit of him at the very end but he seems fun, looking forward to seeing how he performs in battle. I will say tho, so far it seems like all the heroes were wrongfully put in their positions (and Tatsuya might be from another world, okay lol), that’s fine and all but I wanna see a really bad dude at some point, like someone that did something terrible and they meant it, hopefully that’ll happen eventually. I also liked the bit with Kivia in this one, she’s come around on Xylo which is nice to see, and we also learned what exactly went down back in episode 1 regarding Teoritta and why Kivia’s unit persisted in their losing battle. So Teoritta was set to be dissected for study by the military, and because Kivia and the other holy knights felt guilty, they went all in on a hopeless defense against one of the demon lords, so now their unwillingness to retreat back then makes more sense. And to think it was just because Teoritta’s abilities were considered the weakest of the goddesses too, well I’m glad things played out differently then, and Teoritta and Kivia are still with us now, Xylo really changed their futures for the better. Also, it was nice seeing Teoritta enjoy that festival, she’s so damn sweet, still can’t get enough of her four episodes in, also Kivia and Xylo looked like her parents when they were out together lol. And wow still no ED still huh, the OP alternating positions is cool tho, it is a really good song too, so it’s not a big deal that there’s no ED if there really isn’t one. |

| @MadanielFL I was so happy when I recognized this too lol. Definitely one of my favorite VAs. Also side note, I'm glad we got more worldbuilding/general story background, the balancing of action and exposition feels pretty well tempered. |

| This whole “suicide mission” honestly feels unnecessary. It really comes across like they’re ordering the heroes to die simply because they want them to die, rather than because the mission itself actually requires that level of sacrifice. It makes the higher ups feel less pragmatic and more outright malicious. That feeling gets even stronger knowing that Teoritta is going to be involved. Even if she’s considered weak compared to the other goddesses, she’s still a goddess, which makes the whole plan seem even more ridiculous. |

| Xylo being into poetry was unexpected haha.. Lore Update!! This episode is still building up the next arc but the lore drops got me intrigued! We got a reveal of some of the goddesses powers– Poison, Lightning, Future-Sight... and an Isekai Reincarnator!? (If that thing about Tatsuya is real– him having a Japanese name would make sense too). Was not expecting the Venetim backstory but I sure welcome it, now I know what to expect from this smooth talker– I thought he would be the group's strategist but I guess he goes way further than that– claiming to have almost saved the world is something else (as someone who got closer to the truth)... and speaking of that, you mean there are actual people infected by the demon blight among the higher ups!? now are they under the influence of it or is it something they control.. (I would assume the latter), maybe this whole war is just some kind of experiment for them all. Kazuma Tsav is here and he is not messing around! Funny how he's a Sniper, might not be a comic relief character though haha. |

idk if it's just me, but I'm just not impressed with this show so far.
Like the demon blight infiltrsting humanities governing structure should be something that is slowly revealed/hinted at not just directly stated so early. I think it seems rather obvious that the mad king will actually be revealed as legitimate (have since last episode). Xylo seemed kinda stupid during his whole backstory it should have been quickly clear to him that he'd been set up, yet it wasn't. the animation & art style is generally pretty nice, but the story and characters are lacking so far. I'll watch the whole season, though, so hopefully it can change my mind. I thought retroactively explaining why Kivia's plan was so bad and basically suicide in episode 1 was a nice touch, though.

| @killzone3abc I feel this. The action's enjoyable enough, but the explicitly evil opposition isn't very interesting and the reveal for the reason was anticlimactic. It's also hard to explain why they would reveal the truth to our swindler or even have this elaborate hero system if they're this close to winning. It feels like if it was going to be this one dimensional it could have just been a man versus monster thing. Having it infect the power structure isn't doing much for the story beyond allowing the catchy sentenced to be a hero title. |

Tatsuya could be hundred of years old for all we know. I love how they are doing his character in this series. I guess it makes sense, kind of, since his name is obviously Japanese compared to the names of the main cast and side characters. I'm guessing that this is not the kind of isekai hero tale he was hoping for. He really drew the short end of the stick. I mean, isekaied just to go through literal hell over and over again and the guy doesn't even get to be the MC of the story! ππ Who do you think has the worse fate? Subaru from Re:Zero, dying over and over while remembering everything, or Tatsuya, dying over and over until he’s essentially forgotten himself? Kivia is starting to become nice; I'm starting to really like her, like she actually has a thinking mind that doesnt mindlessly dismiss the heros and their actions. It seems like she still cant forgive him for killing a goddess causing all that came after, but knows he didnt do it without reason while really being a lot more upset with herself for letting the same thing almost happen again. I like how the author is getting Xylo to accept Teorrita. He doesn't want to harm another goddess so he doesn't accept her, but in order to prevent an even worse fate, he will accept her completely. I really love this set up episode, knowing that they absolutely can deliver on the action in the next one. I hope they keep this up. I'm finding myself enjoying it more than I already expected to! It says this is only 12 episodes though?? Nah man, this better get a Season 5 π₯!!! |
