@MewsicMagic I hope it isnt a isekai person, that would ruin it for me lol. It could be just someone from a diferent culture, for example, the city "we" are in right now, is more North African or southern Iberian in culture. He could come from a place that has Japanese inspired culture.

This is one of my favorite episode of the show, if not the favorite, it has everything. Characters boundings, lighthearted moments, more interesting characters and to me, the kicker, human vs human fights (or what it seems human) instead of the fighting monsters/zombies. Loved this episode, completely sold to the series.

@Viriathus Honestly it wouldn't ruin the show for me as long as him being "Isekaied" is done well. It really can't be the usual "we summoned a hero to our world and they're a normal high school dude from Japan" cliche. I'm actually hoping that even though Tatsuya is basically a zombie at this point we find out what happened to him, there's is a LOT they could do and write with a character that nobody knows anything about.

If he truly is Isekaied from Japan imagine if he was actually fit to a be a "hero" in the normal sense, like maybe he had a military occupation or was a police officer or something before then.

@Viriathus In an earlier episode it was stated that the Goddesses have the power to open portals in order to summon various things. One of them was stated to have the power to summon people. This plus Tatsuya's name heavily implies that he was a summoned person.

@MewsicMagic I get what you are saying, but to me, not going to say it ruins it, but its a gigantic turned off. I never liked alternative realities and such and im so tired of Isekais (despite one of my current favorite shows is a Isekai, but that is one on 50). I just want a fantasy world that is that and that is it lol.

@Viriathus I can understand that, sad thing is that many of the fantasy shows we get are just full of the same tropes and problems as Isekai, they're just not Isekai. The currently airing "Yuusha Party wo Oidasareta Kiyoubinbou", or last year's "Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master": Skill no Mi (Tabetara Shinu) wo Mugen ni Taberareru You ni Natta Ken ni Tsuite" are prime examples of shows that share all the same issues with Isekai, except the part that makes them Isekai.

I've never really hated Isekai because of the main character coming from another world, so much as the shows just being terribly written. There is a LOT that can actually be done with a genre as generic as "Isekai", the issue is that most Isekai author's just go down the same route as all the others. The Isekai anime genre is technically bland by default, because it's really just about ending up in another world somehow, whether that be death, transportation or whatever else. Isekai doesn't even need to be an alternate reality situation necessarily, all it really needs to be an Isekai is have a character go to another world, and when you have a good author they can be really creative with what kind of world they want to write.

I just feel so bad about Isekai, because it's a genre with tons of excellent use cases and possibilities, and gets so much bad rep because all the Isekai stories we get are following the same tropes and template. I believe, for the most part, that there's no such thing as a bad genre, only a badly written story. But if you asked for my personal opinion instead of my objective one, I'd probably have feelings about specifics genre's similar to what you have about Isekai.

@MewsicMagic Dont get me wrong, i may enjoy a isekai here and there, i love Konosuba for example and really liked SAO first season, heck there were great 90s/00s Isekai Animes. But these days, they are the poster child of blend and there are tons of them with the same format. And myself never was a fan of alternative realities, other worlds etc i simply want my fantasy world be that, fantasy world. Despite like alot are what you said, with tons of Isekai trops.

Well, lets wait and see where this goes, i wouldnt deslike the show right away if there was someone who was isekaid over there, but it would be a turn off.

Hmm... So, if demons like Spriggan exist, who can take human form, speak etc, it's understandable why some humans would side with demons. What would humans want from demons though? Immortality, OP powers or something as usual?
