Cyn watches him walk off, angry. "Geez, what's his problem?" he mutters to himself. "I was just stating one of the freakin' options we have." He smiles then. ('Course I have no intention of looking for them. Nor do I particularly care.)
"Cyn!" A crew member walk over with the Captain in tow. "The repairs are almost done, we just need a bit more time and materials."
"Good," Cyn says. "Get on that then. And don't bother me unless there's a problem or it's finished."
Alexi studies the map on the table with interest. "Good job Cyn. Everything seems to be in order."
He nods. "At the rate we're going, we should be back up and running by tomorrow morning if we keep at it."
"Alright then. Good." Pause. "It's too bad though..."
Cyn shrugs. "We'll leave 'em something, don't worry. Gotta keep to the code after all."
Alexi nods in approval.

Zaine imagines the creature smiling at them as they run, thinking about what it might be thinking of them. (Oh yes, look at how those tiny insects run! I think I'll just play with them for a while since I have nothing better to do with my li--)
The creature leans into a dive, aiming straight in front of them. It lands with a harsh boom that shakes the ground, knocking Zaine off balance. It hovers over them, watching them.
(If we move, we'll probably die. If we stay here, we'll probably die.)
Now that its towering in front of them, Zaine gets a better look at the creature. Its feet are smooth, dull yellow, and end in talons that are practically as big as Zaine or Alan. The gray-brown scales that cover its body are easily as big as his hand, and appear to be very hard like stone. There are a few scales missing by its neck, and towards its underbelly, testaments stating it knows how to fight. Its wings are leathery and brown, making a faint swish shick sound as they fold. At certain spots, you can see the huge veins and bones when the light carries through the wings. Its lion head is covered in a dark brown-blue fur that ends in a point at its chest. On the crown of its head is an X-shaped scar.
But it is the creature's big eyes that draw Zaine's attention. They watch him intently, curiously, as he stays there on the ground looking back. In its eyes, Zaine can see an immense wisdom, one that can only be gained through a long life. In its eyes, Zaine can see his own fear reflected back at him. It is what he does not see that keeps him to the ground.
