| I honestly don't get the love. There is no cohesion to these episodes no relation between them at all. No character or story development. Knight Sabers just bump into the AD police and the Leon guy, his "crush" on Pris completely pointless. Its okay I suppose for what is basically 8 individual stories but I wish for more, wish I could have cared about any of these characters. I do agree this last one was the best even if out the the four I prefer Pris if only because she is the only one who has slightly more than a 1D personality. |

| I really adore this series and it's definitely a 10/10 for me. It has so much personality and you can tell everyone involved in its production cared a lot and was extremely talented. This final episode focusing on Nene and having this newcomer Lisa as a side character was really cool, but I can't help but feel like it should have been episode 3 or 4. I understand the episodic nature of the show where each had an auto conclusive story but I think they were cooking something really interesting with the Genom plot and that blonde dude that controlled it and they didn't explore it as much as I'd have liked. An actual ending would have benefited the whole thing. But my God, the character designs, mechanical designs, animation, voice acting, world building and THAT MUSIC. It was so wonderful. I was looking into the voice actors and it's a shame that Shuichi Ikeda's and Megumi Hayashibara's characters were so short-lived. Also, from the little information I can gather, Kinuko Oomori, who voiced Priss in this, kinda disappeared from the public spotlight in 1994 when she retired from the music industry after her rock band failed. I supposed she's been living a normal life ever since and it's likely easier to find info on her in Japanese. But well, it's a shame she didn't fully get into voice acting or music because I think she was extremely talented and did an incredible job here. Wherever she is, I hope she's OK and happy. |
