| That wasn't a good ending at all. If Yuuki had been there from the beginning her death would've had more impact... Instead she shows up with like 5 episodes left and I'm supposed to have any sort of attachment? Not a bad season overall. But they should've just turned it into a movie and stopped after death gun arc, imho. It was almost difficult to continue after episode 16. |
| i seriously didnt remember this arc or even the excalibur arc at all which is why i had rated this season a 7 and now with a rewatch i kinda wanna drop it to 6 because half of the whole season isnt even about ggo/shinon. i think they should have had sao 2 be ggo and have the two other arcs as spin off seasons or something feels really weird to lump them in with ggo. i do still prefer this to s1 so ill keep it as 7. ririca is cute  |

| Wow, definitely the best part of SAO so far. Yuuki and Asuna's relationship was so touching to see grow and develop, and the way they bid each other farewell, with Yuuki's sendoff in ALO, was great to see. Mother's Rosario will definitely live on with Asuna. |
| The season was fine until this arc. That last episode with everyone around Yuuki. That just hits right in the feels. Overall a 9/10. |

| Why rating is so low? It's clearly better than that. I think it was great and I enjoyed it much more than most of modern animes. |
| Kirito vs yuuki 2.0 was a good match, the moment kirito activate his wings yuuki would be good'ol gone but than again, even without wings kirito wouldn't go all out unless its a life or death situation like SAO Konno yuuki's farewell moment was incredibly sad, the way hundred of thousands of players come to pay respect in her final moment nearly tear me up. She's gone but she left a massive impact on asuna's character, especially now that asuna has the "mother rosario" unique skill which is made by yuuki. Season 2 of sao is a great show that's without a doubt, unlike the first season, sao s2 heavily relied on emotional moment especially in the last arc. GGO arc was great and the fact that the primary antagonist of ggo was a member of the villain group from the 1st season makes it better, I like shion as a character as well the fact that she's a hot waifu. Caliburn was okayish and mother Rosario was a masterpiece. The animation of fight scene was also great and the background soundtrack is amazing as usual. GGO 9/10 Caliburn 7/10 Mother Rosaria 10/10 I definitely enjoyed my time watching the second season of sword art online and I'm satisfied with the content of season 2. 9/10 |
